Gua, Itachi, and Kabuto destroyed Kannabi Bridge, but Kabuto was captured in the aftermath. Gua pursued him to the Akatsuki’s lair, where he and Kakashi fought the group, Obito revealed himself to Kakashi, and Gua awakened his Mangekyo to save Kabuto.

• Fugaku assigned Gua, Itachi, and Kabuto to destroy Kannabi Bridge, and they reached it undetected before defeating its guards and planting explosives.
• Fugaku used his Susanoo to protect the team from Han and Roshi, but masked attackers abducted Kabuto as the group tried to leave.
• Konoha celebrated the bridge’s destruction and victory over Iwagakure, while Gua remained distraught over Kabuto’s disappearance.
• Hiruko brought Kabuto to the Akatsuki base, where he discovered Kabuto was not an Uchiha and spared him before Gua followed them to the Land of Rain.
• Gua fought Sasori and Hidan while Kabuto escaped and drew Obito away, then opened six of the Eight Gates and destroyed Sasori’s puppets.
• Kakashi joined the battle and helped Gua defeat Sasori, while Obito revealed his identity to Kakashi and pulled him into the Kamui Dimension.
• Fugaku and Kabuto entered the cave to rescue Gua, and Gua awakened his Mangekyo before freeing Kabuto from Hiruko’s grasp.
• Gua swallowed two Blue Pills and fought Hiruko, telling him that he had seen his future and that his next slash would kill him.

Gua escaped the Akatsuki with Fugaku, but Kakashi remained trapped in Obito’s Kamui Dimension. Back in Konoha, Gua reunited with his family and friends, received recognition for the war, and learned that Iwagakure wanted peace.

• Gua killed Hiruko, but Obito refused to return Kakashi and trapped him in the Kamui Dimension as Gua and Pain fought.
• Fugaku arrived to help Gua, attacked the vessel holding the Four-Tails and Five-Tails, then carried Gua and Han’s corpse out of the cave.
• Fugaku persuaded Gua not to risk rescuing Kakashi, and the group brought Rin Uzumaki and Karin Uzumaki back toward Konoha.
• Fugaku’s campaign routed Iwagakure’s forces to the Nian River, while Gua’s Mangekyo awakening spread through the ranks as a rumor.
• Gua returned to Konoha and reunited with Nai, Itachi, and Izumi, while Fugaku took Rin and Karin to the Hokage Building.
• The Third rewarded Gua and warned him to preserve the bond between Konoha and the Uchiha, while Orochimaru showed him research into Hashirama cells and Dust Release.
• Gua spent time with Izumi, Naruto, and Karin, helped Rin clean the Uzumaki home, and gave Karin money to use as she needed.
• At the start of the school year, Itachi told Gua that Iwagakure wanted to negotiate peace with Konoha, and Gua said he had expected it after the advance to the Nian River.
