Jonas looked at Eiffel in confusion. If it was an important call, why hadn't the caller contacted him directly instead of calling Eiffel first and having her tell him?
"Why didn't she call me directly?"
"I asked her earlier, but she said entering someone's home without knocking was rude, so it would be better to call me first and have your secretary pass the message along."
Eiffel explained, though she found it rather novel herself. Usually, important people had Jonas's contact details and simply called him directly, without going through his secretary.
It wasn't that this caller lacked status, but calling her and asking her to relay the message to Jonas was certainly unusual.
"Who is she?"
"She said she's from Dragon City and holds a fairly high position, but she didn't say exactly who she was."
"Put her through to me. Thanks for your help, Eiffel."
Jonas knew far more than a little about Dragon City. It wasn't something he had learned after spending a long time in this position; he had heard about it when he first took the seat. District 25 usually dealt with the relatively nearby Federation, however, and had never had an opportunity for official cooperation with other places.
