Synopsis:
The Flame-Chasers who had fought Honkai Fifty Thousand Years ago had already passed away. Kiana and the others were studying at St. Freya Academy, but a sudden exposure quiz descended, twisting everything in an unknown direction.

The people of the Previous Era had struggled, and thirteen Flame-Chasers had spared no effort, swearing to fight Honkai to the very end.
Though the outcome had been death and failure, they had still charged headlong toward death.

The sound of a head hitting the ground rang out. A cat-eared girl lay sprawled on the floor, clutching her aching head.
"Ah! It hurts, it hurts! There's definitely a bump on my head. This counts as a work injury. I'm definitely going to swipe something afterward as medical compensation."
Pardofelis got to her feet. After rubbing her head, she suddenly felt that something was off.
All around her was a vast white space, completely empty. The strange sight made her heart tremble.
Damn it!
She had clearly been planning to scour the nearby area, to soothe her poor little feelings after getting a bump on her head.
And now, forget treasures—this godforsaken place was so barren that there wasn't even a rat.
"This place is way too poor. There's nothing here. This dump is worse than Fire Moth's base... Wait, didn't I die?!"
Pardofelis suddenly realized what had happened and blankly checked her body.
Her size had not changed, and every bodily function was perfectly intact.
She was healthier than she had ever been before. Even the hidden ailments Honkai Energy had left behind were gone.
"What's going on? Don't tell me I made it to heaven?"
Pardofelis's mind began racing.
If she had not risen from the dead, then she must have gone to heaven.
Pardofelis had heard plenty of myths. She knew that after death, people either went to hell or ascended to heaven.
It had to be because her habit of swiping goods... ahem, because her thriftiness had moved the heavens, allowing her to enter paradise.
Unfortunately, heaven seemed quite poor. There was not even a single can of Canned Food. It looked like God was broke too.
"Man, I'm so hungry. I wonder if Sister Elysia, Boss Kevin, Amo, and the others will come here too. Then I'll get to enjoy Boss Kevin's air conditioning."
There was no other explanation for the situation before her, so Pardofelis quickly accepted her circumstances.
Heaven was heaven. After fighting Honkai for so many years, she was tired anyway.
Though she had mostly been slacking off...
But that was fine. Being lucky enough to avoid disaster was a kind of strength too!
Pardofelis refused to believe that Honkai could chase her here just to whip her corpse after she was already dead!
Welcome to Dead Space. This system will conduct exposures and ask questions. Those who answer correctly will receive generous rewards as a surprise, while those who answer incorrectly will be punished. Since Pardofelis is the first guest of Dead Space, the system has decided to give you a glittering golden treasure chest.
A voice suddenly rang out, echoing inside Pardofelis's head.
"Wah! Honkai really did come after me! Why am I still running into the Herrscher of Corruption after I'm dead?! Boss Kevin, Sister Elysia, Sister Snake... save me!!!"
Pardofelis crouched down in fright, every hair on her body standing on end.
She had only raised a flag. Was Honkai really going to hunt her all the way here?
Sob, sob, sob...
Pardofelis had not yet swiped Jesus's cross, stolen Raiden's hammer, stolen the Queen Mother of the West's peaches of immortality, or plucked an angel's bird feathers... ahem, wings.
She did not want to die again so soon!
"Eh?! Wait, die again?"
Pardofelis seemed to think of something. She slowly stood up, and all fear suddenly vanished from her eyes.
Wouldn't dying mean becoming a ghost?
She had already died once, and the Herrscher of Corruption was dead too. They were both ghosts, so why should she be afraid?
At that thought, Pardofelis suddenly found her courage, bearing some resemblance to Kevin facing Finality head-on back then.
Brave Pardo feared no Herrschers!
"I'm already dead anyway. What can a measly Herrscher of Corruption do to me? I'm not even afraid of Finality! If you've got the guts, kill me again!!"
Pardofelis stretched out her hand and pointed at the sky as she shouted.
Yet the pain she expected never came. Only the voice in her mind continued.
"Treasure chest! Something this good actually exists?"
Pardofelis was confused by the system's appearance, but after thinking about it, she was a dead person who could still stand here. No matter how strange something else was, it would not be worth finding strange.
Even if someone told her Kevin had quit to become a security guard today, Pardo would believe it!
Then Pardofelis looked around and set her sights on a gigantic treasure chest.
The chest was large enough to fit Pardo inside. One look at its exterior was enough to tell that it was extremely valuable, and it had to contain plenty of good stuff.
"Let's see what's inside."
Pardofelis eagerly opened the chest, only to find that there was absolutely nothing inside.
"How can it be empty? I know, there must be a hidden compartment!"
Unwilling to give up, Pardofelis climbed entirely into the chest. With a loud clang, her head got stuck inside, leaving only her legs and tail flailing outside.
"Ah! Somebody save me! System, what kind of treasure chest did you give me? Why is it empty inside?"
The system only said it would give you your favorite treasure chest. It never said there would be anything inside it.
"..."
Pardofelis was left speechless. All she could think was that it made damn good sense.
Now half her body was stuck in the treasure chest. She could call to heaven and heaven would not answer; she could call to earth and earth would not respond.
Was there anybody around?
Hurry up and die so you can come save her!
"Oh, my poor Pardo. She locked herself in a treasure chest and can't get out, so she's crying and throwing a tantrum. Boo hoo hoo, how pitiful!"
A familiar voice came from nearby. Pardofelis immediately beamed, recognizing who it was in an instant.
"Sister Elysia, it has to be Sister Elysia, right! I knew it was you the moment I heard your voice. Sister Elysia, hurry and get me out. I'm almost suffocating."
Pardofelis cried out for help, delighted to see her companion again.
Since Sister Elysia was here, she would definitely be able to see the others too.
"Sure, I'll let you out right away."
Elysia patted the treasure chest and said, "But Pardo, why don't you guess who's beside me first? If you guess right, I'll let you out."
"There's someone else? Let me guess... It's Sister Eden. I could recognize the smell of those jewels anywhere. It has to be Sister Eden!"
Pardofelis sniffed from inside the chest and quickly identified the other person.
"A prize for getting it right. I'll let you out now."
Elysia opened the chest, and Pardo sprang out with a whoosh.
"Sister Elysia, I thought I'd never see you again. Sob..."
Pardofelis hugged Elysia and cried for a while. Then she wiped away her tears and patted her chest.
"Sister Elysia, let me tell you, something called a system flashed through my mind just now. I thought it was the Herrscher of Corruption playing tricks, and I nearly fought her for three hundred rounds."
"Wow, what a brave Pardo." Elysia clapped.
"We heard that voice just now as well, and this place called Dead Space is rather incredible."
Eden nodded from the side, pondering this so-called system and Dead Space.
Even after exhausting the knowledge and experience of all three of them and comparing it to every device Vill-V had created, they could not determine the principles behind this space's construction.
Still, since it could pull their already-dead selves inside, it surely possessed something extraordinary.

Eden and Elysia exchanged a glance, both seeing confusion in the other's eyes.
Far East Demon Cave certainly did not sound like a nice place!

The Quiz Begins
St. Freya Academy.
This was the heartland of Schicksal's Far East Branch, a place where the Schicksal organization trained Valkyries to fight Honkai.
They were strong and brave, possessed an unwavering belief in victory, and swore to fight Honkai for all the beauty in the world.
A pebble falling into water would stir ripples. At this moment, the gears of fate suddenly jammed, crashed for quite a while, then began turning in an irreversible direction.
"Kiana, get over here!"
Teacher Himeko's roar came from the office. Kiana stood there fearfully, and one look was enough to tell that she had messed up again during the last exam.
"Auntie Himeko, calm down. Isn't there still the final exam? I'll definitely give you a surprise then."
Kiana said awkwardly.
What could she do if she was bad at academic subjects?
The moment class started, she wanted to sleep. Once she slept, she got hungry. When she got hungry, she wanted to go out and find food. After eating and drinking her fill, she wanted to play games...

Himeko Murata pointed at the score on the test paper, then grabbed a new answer sheet, tossed it onto the ground, and stomped on it.
"Do you believe that even a score I got by stepping on it like this would be higher than yours?"
Seeing that Himeko Murata was truly furious with her, Kiana quickly took a step back. "Auntie Himeko, listen to my excuse... no, listen to my explanation. There were uncontrollable factors behind why I scored so low."
"The uncontrollable factors Idiot Kiana is talking about are sleeping during class and secretly eating potato chips."
Bronya spoke from the side.
She had hacked study materials from the Schicksal database. If Kiana had read even a little more of them, she would not still be failing now.
"I didn't! Bronya, you're tearing me down again."
Kiana said, "It was clearly because the things I studied didn't appear on the test, the things on the test were things I didn't know, the things I knew I didn't answer, and the things I answered were wrong. That's why I did so badly!"
