Background
Elysia was one of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers who fought the Honkai during the Previous Era, fifty thousand years before the current era. The Previous Era ended when Finality descended, ending the Flame-Chasers' mission and leaving them dead. 2
She fused with the hyper-evolutionary factor of the Honkai Beast Mahamayuri. Elysia was the only Fire Moth subject to survive the surgery and remain unharmed. 12
At some point, Elysia became the First Flame-Chaser. Using a Life Coin after her death, she returned to the day she intended to give that position to Kevin. The attempt did not free her from the title, though the trip let her alter events in Fire Moth's past. 4 7
During that twenty-four-hour return, Elysia met with Apponia. Unable to have her future read or be bound by Apponia's Precepts, Elysia asked Apponia not to issue the commandment “Never give up hope of fighting the Honkai” or interfere excessively with others' destinies. 6 7
Appearance
Elysia is a pink-haired, fairy-like young woman whose appearance and voice are repeatedly compared to those of a fairy. She is closely associated with pink imagery and the self-styled title of “Pink Fairy.” 3 5
- Pink hair, described as notably soft. 7 12
- A fairy-like face, figure, aura, and pleasant voice. 3
- Her fusion with Mahamayuri's hyper-evolutionary factor improved her skin and altered her metabolism. 12
Personality
Elysia is outgoing, theatrical, and unashamedly self-admiring. She asks new acquaintances to drop formalities, calls everyone “cute girls,” and frequently promotes herself as the world's cutest Elysia. 2 25 She enjoys turning conversations into games, withholding information to preserve “mystery,” and laughing at the System's more absurd revelations. 2 5 24
Her friendliness is genuine but often comes with teasing or calculated exchanges. While guiding Mei through the Elysian Realm, Elysia's stated interest in helping Mei is repeatedly undercut by her fixation on Mei's horns; she ultimately arranges access to them as payment for helping Mei reach The Deep. 4 5 6
Behind the playful manner, Elysia is protective and serious when it matters. She reassures Mei about becoming a Herrscher, promises to intervene if Mei is in fatal danger, and makes a grave request of Apponia out of concern for the consequences of her Precepts. 3 7 37
Abilities & Skills
Combat Ability
Elysia is recognized as Fire Moth's strongest Flame-Chaser and is portrayed as a combatant on Kevin's level. She confidently describes herself as capable of defeating Herrschers. 3 4 29
- Her strength in Death Space is preserved at the level she possessed at death. 6
- During her Life Coin return, she states that her physical condition is normal and her strength is at its peak. 4
- She is considered capable of intervening against Chakravartin if no one else saves Mei. 37
Hyper-Evolutionary Fusion
Elysia successfully fused with Mahamayuri's hyper-evolutionary factor, an experiment from which every other subject died. 12
- The fusion enhanced her physical appearance and metabolism. 12
- Its success marks her as uniquely compatible among Fire Moth's experiment subjects. 12
Elysian Realm Memory Body
A Memory Body based on Elysia exists within the Previous Era Elysian Realm. It retains Elysia's personality and traits, though Elysia sometimes tries to distance herself from its actions. 4 5
- The Memory Body is the first Flame-Chaser Memory Body to offer Mei assistance in the Elysian Realm. 2 3
- It guides Mei after her arrival, reassures her about adapting to combat, and offers to help prepare a route to The Deep. 3 6
- It is distinct from the original Elysia, despite retaining her memories and behavioral traits. 4 5
Equipment / Items
- Life Coin — A System reward that temporarily reverses death, returning its holder to her own timeline for twenty-four hours. Elysia used one to revisit Fire Moth at the point where she intended to surrender the First Flame-Chaser position to Kevin. 3 4 7
- Loudspeaker — Acquired from Pardofelis for three Crystal Flowers. Elysia uses its recording function to publicize Mei, accidentally exposing her own desire to touch Mei's horns. 5
- “Chakravartin's Mask: A Hundred Questions, From Beginner to Cremation” — A book authored by Elysia and awarded to Theresa by the System. 37
Relationships
- Pardofelis — Fellow Flame-Chaser and close companion. Elysia frees Pardo from a treasure chest in Death Space, regularly calls her “Pardo,” and relies on her information-gathering skills. 1 5
- Eden — Fellow Flame-Chaser and trusted friend. Eden addresses her as “Eli” and “Lyse,” recognizes that Elysia changed Fire Moth's past, and receives Elysia's confidence in her plan to influence Fire Moth's leadership. 7 22
- Raiden Mei — A future visitor to the Elysian Realm whom Elysia's Memory Body guides and protects. Their relationship is marked by Elysia's encouragement, relentless flirting, and the horn-touching exchange used to secure Mei's access to The Deep. 3 4 6
- Apponia — Fellow Flame-Chaser who trusts Elysia despite being unable to perceive her fate. Elysia responds to that trust by seriously asking Apponia not to impose harmful Precepts or control others' destinies. 6 7
- Kevin — Fellow Flame-Chaser and intended successor to the First Flame-Chaser position. Elysia used her Life Coin to revisit the day she tried to give him that role. 4 7
- Kiana Kaslana — A chat-group companion initially wary of Elysia's intentions toward Mei. Kiana comes to value Elysia's protection of Mei, while Elysia encourages Kiana's reckless ambition to challenge Kevin. 3 9
