Background / History

Tang San was born ten thousand years before Su Wen. In the God Realm, he monitored the lower realm and treated his daughter Wang Dong'er as a means to influence and manipulate Su Wen. His divine consciousness was placed within Wang Dong'er as a restriction, intended to control her and use her as bait for powerful targets. Gu Yuena removed, captured, and sealed this consciousness, severing Tang San's direct connection to it. 117 123 124

After the severance, Tang San suspected the God of Destruction of monitoring his movements and preventing further interference with the mortal realm. He considered dispatching another strand of divine sense to protect Wang Dong'er, but his access to the lower realm remained constrained. 129

Tang San later descended to the mortal realm in a sixteen-year-old body. Cut off from his God Realm self, he possessed only Rank 61 cultivation as a Soul Emperor, but remained determined to rebuild his influence and assemble a new generation of Shrek Seven Devils. 146

During the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament, Tang San led the Clear Sky Sect against Shrek Academy. He attempted to defeat Su Wen with the Eight Spider Lances and poison, but Su Wen purified the poison and killed him with the Emperor Palm: Great Cold Without Snow. 155 156

After losing contact with his divine consciousness, Tang San descends in a weakened sixteen-year-old body. As the Clear Sky Sect's leader, he faces Su Wen in the tournament final, loses, and is killed by Su Wen's Emperor Palm. 146 155 156

Tang San seeks to build power in both the God Realm and Douluo Plane. He coordinates with Daming and Erming, pursues control of the God Realm Central Hub, and becomes increasingly hostile toward Su Wen's allies and the prospect of Soul Beasts inheriting godhood. 260 266 329

Loss of Divine Authority
