The next day, Meihui went to the Hokage's Office and told Tsunade about the Three-Tails.
"Lady Tsunade, I think we have a real chance of taking the Three-Tails for ourselves. It doesn't have a Jinchūriki right now, after all. It's still wild."
"Mm, you have a point. Do you know where it is now?"
"The Three-Tails should be in Kirigakure right now."
The last time he had spoken to Itachi, he had learned that the Akatsuki still hadn't captured the Three-Tails. He didn't know what was going on.
Still, this was better than letting the Three-Tails fall into the Akatsuki's hands so easily. They would have to strike first.
"All right. Since you know where it is, you'll serve as Team 7's temporary captain. Take Naruto and Sakura with you, and choose whoever else you need. Oh, and there's this person, too."
"Come out."
Meihui visibly froze when he saw who emerged. It was none other than Sai.
Looking at him, Meihui remembered that there was still a rat he hadn't dealt with.
Tsunade saw Meihui's reaction and knew the brat had already figured it out.
"Ahem. Brat, take him along on this mission. His name is Sai, and he'll be working with your Team 7."
"All right, understood, Lady Tsunade."
"Hello, Sai. I look forward to working with you."
Sai merely nodded with a smile and shook Meihui's hand.
Meihui started rounding people up. First on his list was Captain Yamato. Seriously, how could he forget someone so essential to any trip?
Here's a joke. Yamato: "Lord First, when it comes to conquering the world with Wood Release, I'm no match for you. But when it comes to building houses with Wood Release, you're no match for me."
Next was Kakashi, a major fighting force in his own right.
