Arc 13The Calamity Marches

Gern gathered his allies after the God's Knights attacked Enel and Kuma asked for help rescuing Ginny. The Calamity Faction seized G-1 and fought through Marine resistance as Gern confronted Saint Garling and Shamrock.

  • Gern forced Doflamingo to his knees at the North Blue hideout, then let Corazon secretly save him so Doflamingo would trust him more.
  • Enel defended Yakelo from the World Government, but two God's Knights ambushed him, and the kingdom vanished after Mamaragan and Raigo struck.

Arc 14The Holy Land Reckoning

Gern defeated the God Knights and fought Saint Saturn while Sengoku negotiated a new balance of power and Fisher Tiger freed the slaves. After the crisis, Kuma left the Revolutionary Army for G-10, and Kaido challenged Gern, who struck him down in their opening clash.

  • Gern killed the Sheep-Skull-Masked God Knight and the sniper God Knight, then continued toward Pangaea Castle.
  • Sengoku secured Marine autonomy, G-10’s self-government, recognition of Gern as a New World power, compensation, and an end to covert attacks, but Saturn rejected his demand to surrender Ginny.
  • Gern battled Saint Saturn, cutting off his spider legs and damaging his Gyuki forms as Fisher Tiger broke into the Land of the Gods and freed the slaves.

Arc 15Gern’s New Era

After defeating Kaido, Gern secured G-10’s autonomy and became its supreme strategic commander, then intervened in conflicts involving Fish-Man Island and Shanks. He visited Luffy, Ace, and Sabo in the East Blue before discovering the devastation caused by Arlong’s crew in Cocoyasi Village.

  • Gern defeated Kaido with Quakeflame: Divine Flame Dance, and Morgans reported that the Marine Admiral had won.

Gern saved Bellemere and destroyed Arlong before setting his sights on Shanks, while Ace challenged Gern and was drawn into his schemes. Gern defeated Shanks on Palta Island, and the news left Marine Headquarters debating his actions as the story turned toward Sakazuki’s return to G-10.

  • Gern rescued Bellemere from Arlong, then disintegrated Arlong and ordered the surviving fish-men to return to Fish-Man Island.
  • Gern sent Lipo to train Ace, and she repeatedly defeated him until he could last fifty rounds against her.
