After learning more about his origins and reuniting with Midnight, Yin Chao entered a haunted livestream Instance to help Bai Xu. He helped Bai Xu recover his will to live, but the group then found Xin Ya transformed into a monster and approaching them.

• The professor created No. 001 and No. 002 from Yin Rui’s genes, but Yin Chao and Midnight later killed him and escaped the laboratory Instance together.
• Yin Chao comforted Luo Lingyue about her parents, then learned from Yin Rui how she had adopted him after he was created from her blood.
• Yin Chao entered the Haunted Livestream Instance as an NPC, where he met Bai Xu and joined the ghost-hunting crew at a hotel.
• After the hotel shifted into a restored version of itself, Yin Chao used the Candelabrum to protect An Huai and Da Mei from armed pursuers.
• Yin Chao and An Huai encountered the Pig-Headed Man, who sent them into his Mindscape, where they saw Xin Ya’s abduction and the hotel’s hidden competition.

Yin Chao and the Miracle Squad investigated the Peach Blossom on a Human Face killings and traced them to Peach Blossom Town, where the Peach Blossom Immortal altered memories and drew the townspeople into a deadly grove. A dream revealed Liang Chen’s violent childhood and the Liang Family massacre, while the town’s victims and the mystery behind the seven murdered women remained unresolved.

• The Pig-Headed Man killed the female ghost and pursued Xin Ya, but An Huai shot Xin Ya and killed herself, causing the monster’s Mindscape to vanish.
• After the instance ended, Yin Chao found Xin Ya pregnant and unconscious, and later returned to the real world and reunited with Bai Xu and Midnight.
• Yin Chao entered An Nian’s S-rank instance with the Miracle Squad and encountered hanging corpses in a peach grove while investigating the Peach Blossom on a Human Face case.
• At the Grand Princess’s banquet, Yin Chao and Midnight found a guest dead with a peach tree growing through his body, and Long Zang connected the murders to Peach Blossom Town.
• Yin Chao’s investigation at Yao Cai House linked its workers and victims to Peach Blossom Town, where the innkeeper died after a Peach Blossom on a Human Face emerged from his mouth.
• Yin Chao dreamed of Liang Chen’s childhood, including the psychiatric hospital fire and the Liang Family massacre, then awoke to find that the town and its people had changed and that Broken Jade’s name stirred a painful memory.
• At the Peach Immortal Temple, Yin Chao forgot his own name as the townspeople followed a bell into the grove, where vines and Peach Blossoms on a Human Face turned them into hanging corpses.
• Yin Chao resisted the Peach Blossom Immortal and withered its vines and central tree, then saw Xiao Xiao, Broken Jade, and five other women hanging dead as a man tried to conceal one murder by blaming the Peach Blossom Immortal.

Yin Chao entered the SS-Rank Rebirth Instance to find the trapped players and uncovered the Church’s bloody resurrection ritual and Elena’s divided existence. He woke beside Yin Rui and Ois after witnessing the past that had made the town’s worlds overlap.

• The Peach Blossom Immortal’s dream world shattered after Yin Chao burned the enormous peach tree, and he later left Peach Blossom Town for the capital.
• No. 028 appeared and claimed responsibility for creating the Peach Blossom Immortal, but Yin Chao left to respond to Bai Yu’s report that players were trapped in their Instances.
• Yin Chao learned from Moqi Xinsi and Jin Zi’s notebook that players were in danger, then entered the SS-Rank Rebirth Instance with Bai Xu, Moon Shadow, Moqi Xinsi, and Lin Erba.
• Yin Chao discovered that the Instance’s parallel worlds separated the players, and he reunited with Jin Zi and Zhao Qing in the town archives before the worlds merged and monsters killed Zhao Qing.
• Yin Chao found evidence about Elena and the Church, then entered Elena’s memories and lived as a girl pursued by the Church, where he met Ois and fought to protect him.
• Yin Chao and Ois confronted the Church during its ritual, and Yin Chao freed Ois before taking him to the volcano where Ois had been found.
• Shang Yi and Yin Rui rescued Yin Chao from the white-haired woman, and Yin Chao dreamed of Elena’s past, the Church’s abuse of Salia, and the deaths of the ritual’s believers.
• Yin Chao woke beside Yin Rui and Ois, and Yin Rui explained that Ois’s connection to Midnight resembled Yin Chao’s connection to his hair.
