Garp looked rather indignant:

So Enel brought Bullet straight to Vegapunk.
After hearing the details, Vegapunk grew interested too:
"The fruit's amplification far exceeds the intended multiplier, does it?"
"Come this way."
He pushed the door open and walked out. It took them a while to reach a somewhat dilapidated laboratory.
Vegapunk opened the door:
"This is some old equipment. I don't use it very often."
He led the two of them over to a balance surrounded by a pile of weights.
Picking up a small weight, he handed it to Bullet:
"Hmm... try doubling it first."
Bullet nodded and took the weight.
Hum-
A ring of light enveloped the weight.
The weight instantly grew to three or four times its original size. Vegapunk nodded:
"It really does far exceed the multiplier."
When they placed the weight on the balance, the reading shot up severalfold.
Vegapunk had Bullet cancel his ability, then said:
"Try tripling it this time."
Bullet looked a little puzzled, but did as instructed.
Hum-
The weight grew severalfold again, and Vegapunk raised an eyebrow:
"Put it on the balance."
The enlarged weight looked as though it would crush the balance.
The reading was still off.
He had Bullet cancel his ability again, then said:
"Back to doubling it this time."
Bullet did as instructed, but when the weight was placed on the balance...
The reading was actually different from the first one. It was roughly the same, but the last two digits differed.
Enel frowned slightly, deep in thought.
Vegapunk smiled:
"Figured out the reason?"
