Sabo looked at Dragon and stretched:
"It's all to keep the plan on schedule."
"Production has mostly started."
"But we still haven't finished reverse-engineering the core technology."
Although the Revolutionary Army's advance had slowed, it had not stopped.
So they had to build a large fleet of ships capable of crossing the Calm Belt before the Revolutionary Army finished reclaiming the Four Blues, allowing them to cut straight through the Calm Belt and strike the Red Line from behind.
But Vegapunk's technology was not so easy to master.
They could only strip out and discard many of the warships' systems, retaining only the technology for the seastone outer wheels beneath the hull.
They had people build the ships first, leaving room to install the seastone outer wheels.
Meanwhile, they worked day and night to crack the technology behind those wheels. Once they finished reverse-engineering it, they could mass-produce them and fit them onto the ships without delaying the offensive.
Dragon smiled and said:
"Then I can rest easy."
He waved the blueprints in his hand, putting on a mysterious air:
"These are Vegapunk's..."
But Sabo's face immediately fell:
"You're kidding..."
"There's more?!!!"
Researching that seastone warship alone had nearly driven him mad...
Dragon chuckled and shook his head:
"These are blueprints for new weapons Vegapunk designed by improving ours. I've already sent people to start production."
Sabo breathed a sigh of relief:
"You scared me to death..."
But when he looked up at Dragon, he hesitated before finally voicing his doubts:
"Commander-in-Chief."
"Vegapunk is still with the Navy."
"What is he trying to achieve by helping us like this...?"
Even asking for something in return would have made sense. Instead, for no apparent reason, he had freely handed over warship technology capable of crossing the Calm Belt-something that could overturn
