At night, aboard the warship.
Covered in bandages, Sakazuki was eating in the mess hall, replenishing his energy.
He was no longer in any danger, but his injuries had been severe enough that he needed some time to recuperate.
Enel sat on the Ark Maxim, hovering in midair as he quietly watched Sakazuki. After a moment, he spoke.
"Mr. Sakazuki, I want to get stronger."
Sakazuki was slightly surprised to hear this. Why did it feel as though Enel had suddenly grown up a little?
Looking at Enel's determined little face, Sakazuki said:
"Have Carol draw up a training plan for you first. In a couple of years, when you're old enough, you can enter the Marine Academy."
Enel nodded solemnly after hearing Sakazuki's words, then went to find Carol with a determined look on his face.
Watching Enel turn and leave, Sakazuki smiled faintly.
As though something amusing had occurred to him, he shook his head and went back to replenishing his energy.
In the adjutant's private quarters, Carol was at his desk, writing out some sort of plan.
Knock, knock, knock!
At the sound of knocking, Carol called out without looking up:
"Come in."
Enel opened the door and came inside, explaining why he was there.
Carol happened to finish writing just then and handed Enel the sheet of paper.
With a cheerful smile, he said:
"This is your training plan for now."
The plan looked extensive, filling an entire sheet of paper.
But that was really just because it had been divided into so many sections, and the time allotted to each was manageable.
Carol also wanted to see Enel's astonished expression.
He watched him with a cheerful smile.
After a long while spent studying the training plan,
Enel spoke with a grave, solemn expression:
