As Gilgamesh's spirit origin signature vanished completely, the two remaining Command Spells on the back of Tokiomi Tohsaka's right hand began to fade in the wild woods, leaving only a few blood-red traces.
Tokiomi Tohsaka was horrified. Back when Kariya Matou had expended his second Command Spell, he had already considered using one of his own to strengthen Gilgamesh.
But just as he was about to activate it, an intensely forceful rejection had come from Gilgamesh at the other end of the master-servant contract.
He had never imagined that his hesitation then would lead to this dead end!
Tokiomi Tohsaka swung his cane down hard. The gem at its tip unleashed a torrent of fierce flames as he rattled off the verses of his incantation.
As long as I defeat Kariya Matou before Berserker comes back to help him, I still have a chance to win!
He had long since realized that Kariya Matou was at the end of his rope. Only a little willpower had kept him going this long, even if that willpower commanded his admiration-
"Grant my enemy the flame light of conquest (Eroberungszug Feuerlicht)!!!"
The spell "Flame Light" was the fastest offensive magecraft Tokiomi Tohsaka had mastered in his decades of studying fire magecraft.
It was no exaggeration to say that this spell could pierce an enemy's heart in the blink of an eye.
But there was another spell even faster than that!
"By my Command Spell, I command you, Berserker!"
As Tokiomi Tohsaka chanted, the final Command Spell on the back of Kariya Matou's right hand erupted with blood-red light.
The next instant, before Tokiomi Tohsaka could react, a dark purple gust from a sword effortlessly shredded the blade of flame summoned at the tip of his jeweled cane.
