A full day had passed since Artoria and Sovell parted ways with Kay. If Sovell's calculations were right, Kay should now be somewhere near Magnesia.

Without Sovell and Artoria beside him, Kay's ability to fight alone was nothing exceptional.

Traveling with so many horses, not to mention a carriage, while also avoiding the foreign tribes' camps meant that reaching Magnesia in a day was already fast.

So Sovell chose to head south through the night, hoping to catch up with Kay as soon as possible.

The girl on his back was still breathing steadily and had probably fallen asleep. At first, her breath had tickled Sovell's neck, but after a while, he had more or less grown used to it.

Trying not to disturb her sleep, Sovell called to the surrounding air, borrowing its power to find Kay.

Kay had one of his Wind Pearls. Barring any mishaps, he should be able to locate him within five minutes.

Sure enough, three minutes after Sovell called upon the Thousand Winds, he received word of Kay:

"Due south, five thousand two hundred and thirty meters away, halfway up the mountain."

"Sorry for the trouble."

Mana flowed from the tips of his hair and dispersed into the air.

The so-called Thousand Winds were essentially personified wind elements. Now that the Age of Gods was fading, Sovell alone could command them.

Whenever he called upon the Thousand Winds for help, Sovell would repay them by releasing mana into the air.

You couldn't expect a horse to run without feeding it.

A mage's hair could also function much like Magic Circuits, easily transmitting or storing mana. That was why Sovell kept his long hair, despite how inconvenient it was to maintain.

By the time they reunited with Kay, it was already early the next morning.
