Time flew, the sun and moon racing past. Two years was neither a long time nor a short one.
Ever since word spread that "Duke Ector is calling for knights far and wide," hundreds of knights had come to offer their service.
In the first year of the plan, the "One-Armed Knight," Bedwyr Bedrydant, joined their ranks at Sovell's secret invitation.
In the second year, with all preparations nearing completion, Sovell and the others decided to stop hiding and have Artoria assume the name Arthur and the title "King of Knights."
Sovell also discarded his alias, "Stam," and openly began using the name Sovell. His surname, "Pendragon," remained a secret for the time being.
Artoria's formal accession, however, would have to wait until they had retaken Londinium.
"King Uther's heir," "the one who drew the Sword in the Stone," "the King of Radiance who wields the Red Dragon's power"-these titles spread furiously throughout Britain, like thick ink dispersing in a cup of water.
Over a thousand knights flocked to Caerleon, and tens of thousands of commoners followed, drawn by the title "heir to the Great Dragonhead," particularly those from Wales.
The influx of people rapidly expanded Caerleon. For a time, it even surpassed the former royal capital of Londinium.
As the number of knights increased, the question of seating arrangements at meetings became increasingly pressing.
Finally, after the five of them discussed the matter, they decided to build a round table with fourteen seats. The knights who held those fourteen seats would be invested as "Knights of the Round Table."
In Artoria's vision, the fourteen Knights of the Round Table would form the highest governing council of Arthur's Court.
The announcement released to the public read:
Seats at the Round Table would be granted only to the fourteen finest knights
