Xi Yan had finally had enough!
These million low-quality workers were utterly infuriating.
Not only were they too poorly educated to fill even ordinary jobs now, but they also refused to pay attention during training and broke a pile of equipment. Incorrigible, they spent every day fighting among themselves, all pining for their old, carefree lives in the United Nations of Earth before stirring up trouble like mad.
In Stellaris terms: a permanently unemployed population that would not automatically fill vacant jobs, with population upkeep several times greater than the resources they produced.
When Xi Yan saw the actual statistics, he felt as though the sky were falling.
For fuck's sake, why the hell am I still feeding them?
I can't keep them. Time for humane extermination!
They had been despised by everyone back in the United Nations of Earth anyway. He might as well get rid of them.
So Xi Yan prepared to issue an edict downgrading these low-quality workers' citizenship rights to Raw Material Tier or Food Tier.
They would go to either a Generator District or an Agricultural District. The former meant being hooked into the power grid as fuel for biological power generation; the latter meant outright bodily destruction, their organic matter becoming Green Apples that might one day appear on Xi Yan's dining table.
After all, they would undergo complex processing, their organic matter extracted, refined, and processed anew. Somehow, that made the apples taste even better.
The most important part of being human was getting the cooking temperature right.jpg
Unfortunately, the workers at those Green Apple synthesis plants needed weekly psychological screenings, making their upkeep rather high. They would have to be replaced with robotic labor in the future.
Yet Xi Yan was surprised to discover that his Generator Districts were already completely packed
