Xue Haicang is the third prince of the Heaven Dou Empire and a son of Emperor Xue Ye. His Snow Eagle martial soul is a mutation of the imperial family's hereditary Swan. After he awakened with innate full soul power, his father mobilized the empire's cultivation resources to turn his potential into actual strength 254 255.

At Heaven Dou Royal Academy, his royal identity was initially known only to the three education committee members, Yu Tianheng, and Bai Yan. Qin Ming and the team's other four members believed he was the descendant of an earl; his unfamiliar martial soul helped conceal his connection to the imperial family 268.

Public accounts did not accurately establish his talent. A traveling merchant initially speculated that he possessed rank-eight innate soul power, whereas a later discussion explicitly identified him as having innate full soul power 142 213.

Personality

Xue Haicang is intensely devoted to cultivation, spending nearly all his days training and disliking interruptions. Despite that habit, he accepts that secluded cultivation alone is insufficient and readily agrees to seek practical experience on Sea God Island 514 515.

He is protective of his teammates and merciless toward those he considers responsible for harming them. After Yu Tianheng was badly injured, he attacked Ma Hongjun with the intention of finishing him in one move. His suspicion of Qin Ming initially came with a demand for evidence, but once he obtained a recording, he used his royal authority to pursue punishment 266 268 269.

His pride can undermine his judgment. He confidently claimed to have understood Shrek's tactics before discovering that Zhu Zhuqing was deliberately preventing him from helping Yu Tianheng. During his duel with Tang San, he became increasingly enraged that a level 33 Soul Elder could challenge him 264 267.

His concern extends beyond the imperial family. The murder of Heaven Dou villagers by Wolf Bandits left him furious and visibly anguished; after failing to save them, he bowed to their bodies with his companions 518 520.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Suotuo City: Imperial Fighting Team vs. Shrek

As captain, Xue Haicang followed Qin Ming's restrictions against using his fourth skill or revealing his fusion with Yu Tianheng. Shrek exploited the team's formation, with Zhu Zhuqing occupying him while the others surrounded Yu Tianheng 255 264.

After Yu Tianheng's injuries, Xue Haicang gravely wounded Ma Hongjun and eliminated Dai Mubai. He then faced Tang San with only Bai Yan remaining beside him. Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer eventually shattered his Blood Feather Explosive Claw and defeated him after his earlier attacks had substantially depleted his soul power 265 266 267.

When Tang San seized Bai Yan to force her to heal Xiao Wu, Xue Haicang and Yu Tianheng attempted their fusion. Qin Ming stopped them with his own soul power, and both fainted 267.

Qin Ming's Treason Accusation

Xue Haicang obtained a recording, asked Wang Han to notify the education committee, and requested ten thousand elite soldiers through Xue Qinghe. He returned to Heaven Dou Royal Academy with the team without saying goodbye to Qin Ming, then presented the evidence to the three committee members 269 270.

During Shrek Academy's arrival, his identity as the third prince was revealed. He accused Qin Ming of treason and threatened one of the empire's ten great tortures. Qin Ming severed his own meridians and died; Xue Haicang ordered his body taken to a mass grave 287.

He allowed the remaining Shrek party to leave because of the powerful factions behind its members, announced that their old academy had been razed, and declared his intention to face the students again in the Continental Elite Soul Master Tournament 287.

Continental Elite Soul Master Tournament

By the finals, Xue Haicang had become a level 51 Soul King. He mocked Shrek after its seven-to-one defeat, stopping when Bai Yan intervened. Against the Seven-Star Team, he and Yu Tianheng completed the Blue Lightning Snowfeather Dragon fusion, only to face an opposing fusion sustained by a consuming sea of blood 418 426 427.

Journey to Sea God Island

Xue Qinghe entrusted him with the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud and arranged his journey to Sea God Island. Although reluctant to reconcile with Tang San, he agreed to cooperate for the expedition's safety and their common opposition to Spirit Hall 515 516 517.

He led the traveling party, helped destroy a Wolf Bandit pack, and fought Haider's pirates alongside Tang San. When Haider lured their ship into the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's territory, the Sea God's Heart summoned Poseidon's divine-sense manifestation and saved the group 518 520 524 525.

Sea God Nine Trials

Bo Saixi confirmed that Xue Haicang—not Tang San—held the Sea God Nine Trials and rejected Tang San's accusation that they had been transferred. She declared that no one on the island, including herself, was qualified to receive his bows 532.

She warned him of a divine threat to the continent and instructed him to complete at least seven trials within five years. He pledged to finish even at the cost of his life. His first assessment required 333 steps through the Sea God's Light; sustained pressure training raised him from level 62 to level 65 533 550.

By the latest documented stage, he and his three companions had completed the third trial and were investigating the Evil Spirit Orcas for the fourth. Their preparations immediately preceded Spirit Hall's fleet reaching Sea God Island 590 591.
