Childhood in Phoenixsong Village

Bibi Dong is the child of Lin Yan and Luo Tian. Following Lin Yan's wishes, Gold Brick entrusted her as an infant to an elderly couple in Phoenixsong Village, who adopted her and gave her the name Bibi Dong. Although the couple were poor, secret assistance from Gold Brick and others ensured that she had enough food and clothing 48.

She began helping her adoptive grandparents with their work at age three. They died when she was four and five, respectively, but she continued to receive support and was dearly loved by the village elders 48 49.

Six years after her arrival in the village, she harvested Blue Silver Grass alongside the other children. When Bibi Nan and Bibi Qian explained that becoming a Soul Master could free someone from worries about food and clothing, she took an interest in the profession. The seven children then attended the village's martial soul awakening 48.

Awakening and Recruitment

The first six children tested by Gu Xuewei had no innate soul power. Bibi Dong, the last in line, instead revealed twin spider martial souls and innate full soul power. Because both martial souls were classified as evil, Gu Xuewei questioned the village chief about her temperament before inviting her to join Spirit Hall 49.
