Background / History

Stolen Bone and Stone Village

Shi Hao was born an Innate Supreme, but Shi Yi’s branch of the family removed his Supreme Bone and implanted it in his older cousin. Shi Ziling and Qin Yining fought Martial King Manor’s ancestors before accepting their promise to return the bone if Shi Hao recovered. They departed with their barely conscious son for the Western Frontier, while the Rain Clan arranged an ambush to prevent the promise from being fulfilled 3 190 500.

Shi Hao was subsequently raised in Stone Village by Shi Yunfeng and instructed by Willow Deity. The village’s medicinal cauldron and formulas greatly supported his cultivation. His ambitions centered on protecting his family and villagers, surpassing Shi Yi, and proving that losing his Supreme Bone did not make him inferior 9 100 133.

In the Void God Realm, he chose the celebrated Xuan Yi as another target to surpass, unaware that Xuan Yi was Shi Yi’s concealed identity. His visit ended when he pried a Treasure Bone from a passageway, damaged the realm, and received a two-year ban 100 127.

Defeats Against Shi Yi

At the Kunpeng Nest, Shi Hao learned Xuan Yi’s identity and suffered a crushing defeat. His Broken Sword, treasure techniques, cave heaven divine ring, and companions could not overcome Shi Yi. Rather than kill him, Shi Yi demanded that he become strong enough to face the future enemies of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths 127 128.

The defeat drove Shi Hao to risk rebuilding his cultivation foundation. With the White Bone Cauldron and Willow Deity’s guidance, he developed his unique cave heaven and revived his Supreme Bone. He then challenged Shi Yi in the Void God Realm, but lost in both the Blood Moving and Cave Heaven arenas. Shi Yi copied the Reincarnation Divine Technique from his bone before throwing him out of the battlefield 152 155 156 157 158.

Despite their feud, the cousins began traveling together in the Primordial Treasure Realm. Shi Hao perfected his reborn bone there, while Shi Yi continued studying its evolving runes 173 176.

Death, Return, and the Upper Realm

Shi Hao killed the gods of the second Divine Descent to protect the Lower Realm’s Eight Regions. A curse brought about his apparent death, and his family and friends buried him in Stone Village. He later returned from death and reached the Upper Realm under the name Huang 210 222.

In the Heavenly Origin Secret Realm, he reunited with his grandfather and competed for inheritances alongside Shi Yi. The cousins exchanged their respective halves of the Thunder Emperor Precious Technique, giving both access to its complete mysteries 212 214 215.

After risking his life to escort Yun Xi to Heavenly City, Shi Hao was imprisoned and tortured by the Celestial Clan for his supreme arts. Kong Qiuji, the Peacock Divine Master, and Shi Yi came to secure his release. Shi Yi recorded his condition in a Recording Stone and challenged him to become strong enough to reclaim it 222 223.

Within Immortal Ancient, Shi Hao cultivated immortal qi and used heavenly tribulation against the Heavenly Gods pursuing him. His third strand of immortal qi and breakthrough into the middle True God Realm renewed his confidence that he could challenge Shi Yi 247 251 269.

Heavenly Deity Academy and the Foreign Realm

Yuan Qing’s interference sent Shi Hao to the Wang Family as a mining slave in the Primordial Ancient Mine. After reaching Heavenly Deity Academy, he broke the Wang Family’s Vajra Bracelet, and Shi Yi brought him to Meng Tianzheng. The First Elder accepted him into the academy and guided him toward body-as-a-seed 302 420.

Shi Hao remained at Heavenly Deity Academy rather than join the Immortal or Sacred Academies, whose elders could not promise him their already allocated treasures. Meng Tianzheng tempered him for eight months, strengthening his chances of surviving the body-as-a-seed path; Shi Hao eventually succeeded and entered Void Dao 332 335 356.

With the Foreign Realm threatening their homeland, Shi Hao and Shi Yi began setting aside their old hostility. Shi Hao later carried the younger generation’s banner at the Imperial Pass, but Jin Taijun sold him out to the Foreign Realm. Imprisoned and injured, he nevertheless killed eighteen King Clan prodigies and challenged an Imperial Clan opponent before the Supremes restrained him again 356 386 387.

Emperorfall and Reconciliation

In Emperorfall’s Dharma-Ending Era, Shi Hao and Shi Yi competed over cultivation and longevity for tens of thousands of years. Shi Hao’s first lifetime lasted 30,000 years before he attempted rebirth through his Dao Seed. Their continuing rivalry accompanied his successive mortal-world lives and eased the isolation of the era 407 409 410.

Back at the Imperial Pass, the Twin Stones wielded borrowed Dao Fruits against the Foreign Realm’s Immortal Kings. When Sin Province and Huo Ling’er were threatened, Shi Hao entrusted Shi Yi with confronting Wu Shang while he stopped the interfering edicts 413 414.

By their return to the Lower Realm, Shi Hao no longer regarded Shi Yi as an enemy. They agreed that their families’ grudges would rest on the two of them alone and would never again endanger their relatives 427.

Immortality and War Against Darkness

Shi Hao became a Mortal World Immortal, reached the immortal apex, and passed his Immortal King tribulation without outside interference. His Secret Realm Method spread throughout the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, unlike Shi Yi’s less accessible cultivation system 452 453 454.

After creating his sixth secret realm and approaching the Immortal King apex, he joined Shi Yi in the Boundary Sea and punished Immortal Kings responsible for attacking their homeland. Shi Yi subsequently helped him become a Quasi-Immortal Emperor 460 475.

Approaching Immortal Emperorhood, Shi Hao chose to hold off the Corpse Immortal Emperor so Shi Yi could complete his breakthrough. The enemy seized control of the Great Luo Sword Embryo and cut Shi Hao in two despite his use of He Transforms at Ease 491 492.

In The Heavens, Shi Hao fought the Weird Clan’s Immortal Emperors, advanced into higher emperor realms, and devised a way to sever an enemy’s connection to the Plateau and prevent resurrection. He later fought four eerie emperors together, survived their successive self-detonations, and eventually appeared at the Sacrificial Dao realm 505 511 529 530 537.

Appearance

  • Youthful features: Delicate face and jet-black hair; still appears less mature than Shi Yi during their early public duel 155.
  • Transformed body: After forming his unique cave heaven, his bones become crystalline, his flesh and blood shine, and the surrounding radiance gives his hair a crystalline luster 152.
  • Supreme Bone: Located in his chest; its revived form shines like a sun and manifests a scripture-chanting Supreme Figure 156 157.
  • Dharma-Ending old age: At 30,000 years old in his first lifetime, has entirely white hair, a wrinkled face, and a frail body 407.
  • Immortal bearing: At the immortal apex, appears with loose black hair and a heroic, imposing bearing, surrounded by Great Dao light 453.

Personality

Shi Hao is stubborn, fiercely competitive, and unwilling to surrender a goal once chosen. Repeated defeats against Shi Yi do not break his confidence; instead, they push him toward dangerous breakthroughs. He nevertheless recognizes unfinished cultivation and refuses to call himself the strongest Heavenly God before perfecting his foundation 100 152 329.

His protectiveness extends beyond personal revenge. He enriches Stone Village with the resources he obtains, opposes outside factions seeking the Stone Kingdom’s foundations, and escorts Yun Xi despite the danger. He also distinguishes individuals from their clans’ wrongdoing, acknowledging that Nine-Life Heavenly Lord is not responsible for the Celestial Clan’s betrayal 168 223 280 431.

His sharp tongue and pride persist even after reconciliation with Shi Yi. Their insults gradually coexist with gratitude, mutual appreciation, and unconditional trust. When darkness threatens their breakthrough, Shi Hao willingly risks his life to give his cousin the chance to become an Immortal Emperor 406 410 475 491.
