Background / History
Departure from Earth
Ye Fan attended a university class reunion and visited Mount Tai with his former classmates. The Nine Dragons Pulling a Coffin carried them away from Earth, stopping on Mars before continuing toward Big Dipper. On Mars, he met Lu Chen and cautioned his classmates against approaching the stranger without first assessing the danger 1.
At the Great Thunderclap Temple, Ye Fan identified the temple’s ancient inscription and obtained a Bodhi Seed. When Little Divine Crocodiles attacked, he fought with an Ancient Bronze Lamp and joined Lu Chen in proposing that their blood could supply the Five-Colored Altar with the energy needed to escape 3 4.
Inside the coffin, Liu Yunzhi accused him of murdering Chen Hao, a classmate who had previously tried to seize his Buddhist artifact. Lu Chen discovered a crocodile hidden in the corpse; Ye Fan burned it with the lamp, and Pang Bo crushed it. During the remaining journey, Ye Fan alone heard scripture emanating from the smaller bronze coffin 6.
Big Dipper and Early Cultivation
After landing in the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land, Ye Fan searched for food with Pang Bo and Lu Chen. He ate five Sacred Fruits and drank from the Divine Spring. These medicines protected him from the aging suffered by most of his classmates and instead restored his appearance to that of an eleven- or twelve-year-old boy 7 8.
Weiwei led the survivors out of the forest, after which the Yan Kingdom’s six grotto-heavens and blessed lands accepted them as cultivation prospects. Ye Fan and Pang Bo entered Spirit Ruins Paradise. Despite beginning a new life, Ye Fan remained concerned about returning to Earth and about his parents, who had lost their only son 11 24.
Elder Han later tried to refine him into a pill to extend his own lifespan. Ye Fan survived through the strength of his Sacred Body and killed the elder. Using the fire vein in Han’s alchemy cave, he finally shaped his Primordial Divine Patterns into a cauldron 14 16.
Pursuit by the Ji Family
Ye Fan learned the Great Void Technique from Ji Ziyue without understanding the consequences of possessing a great family’s secret art. The Ji Family pursued him, eventually trapping him in a crowded Southern Region city. He threatened to transmit the technique throughout the city if they advanced 32 33.
Lu Chen intervened and suppressed the pursuing elders. When the Peacock King warned that the Ji Family Holy Lord was nearby, Ye Fan chose not to have the elders killed, recognizing that he could not withstand the resulting retaliation. The Peacock King then sheltered both Earthlings in his hidden little world 35 36.
There, Lu Chen supplied him with more than a hundred jin of pure Source. Ye Fan accepted it as a loan rather than an outright gift. Lu Chen also directed him to the Fire Domain, explaining that the Bodhi Seed could help him withstand its flames while shaping the Mother Qi of All Things 36 39.
Relocation to the Northern Region
Ye Fan visited the Fire Domain early enough to avoid further Ji Family pursuit and returned at the peak of the Other Shore realm. He then crossed to the Northern Region with Lu Chen, Yan Ruyu, the Peacock King, and the Azure Flood Dragon King 42.
After leaving the Azure Flood Dragon King’s Yunze Prefecture, he asked Lu Chen how to obtain the resources his Sacred Body required. Lu Chen directed him toward a distinctive purple mountain and a village of people surnamed Zhang near Pingyan City. Ye Fan chose to trust the advice; Lu Chen intended him to discover a path to Source Arts rather than receive those arts directly 42.
Ye Fan subsequently settled in Stone Village and obtained the Source Heaven Book. By the time Lu Chen visited him there, he had reached the Dao Palace realm, but his cultivation method consisted only of the Western Emperor Scripture’s incomplete “Scripture Key” preserved in that book. He exchanged a fist-sized piece of Phoenix Blood Red Gold for Lu Chen’s complete Dao Palace Scroll of the Western Emperor Scripture, then immediately entered seclusion 61.
He also continued searching for a route home. Disguised as a young Daoist priest, he questioned the Great Xia Imperial Prince about Buddhism, reasoning that its presence on both Earth and Big Dipper implied a connection between the two worlds. Lu Chen’s account of Sakyamuni clarified that ancient Saints could traverse the stars, but Ye Fan was distressed by how long reaching such a realm might take and what that delay would mean for his parents 53 54 55.
Exposure of His Cauldron and the Licheng Underground Palace
At Kunzhou, Ye Fan encountered Ji Family disciples who attacked him together. He killed them, but was forced to reveal the Cauldron of All-Things Mother Qi. Its exposure prompted the holy lands to dispatch experts seeking the sacred material for themselves 69.
In Licheng’s underground palace, the cauldron protected him from a Chaos Stone’s immobilizing force field. He beat the restrained Yaoguang Holy Son and Golden-Winged Little Peng King, imprisoned them in the Lihuo Divine Furnace, and took a Beast-Skin Scroll from the stone platform. Duan De subsequently stole the scroll, but failed to seize the cauldron after the Black Emperor bit him 80 81.
When Lu Chen collected the Chaos Stone Platform, the force field vanished and a struggle broke out among the freed cultivators. Ye Fan deployed a Profound Jade Platform and escaped through the void with Lu Chen. Their capture of leading young cultivators provoked major searches by Yaoguang Holy Land, Purple Mansion Holy Land, and the Golden-Winged Old Peng King 81 82.
Ye Fan later won a Source Arts contest. Lu Chen gave him a million jin of Source as compensation after the Divine Silkworm Princess departed with the Little Divine Silkworm, and borrowed his Bodhi Seed for a journey into the Fire Domain 104.
Breaking the Sacred Body Curse
Under the peerless Divine King’s protection, Ye Fan was able to appear openly again. The Divine King committed ten million jin of Source toward helping him enter Four Extremes and break the Sacred Body’s curse. Ye Fan believed sufficient Source would permit the realm breakthrough, but suspected that the physique’s long failure to flourish involved something more than resources 117.
The breakthrough succeeded with the Divine King’s help, but the Great Dao wounded Ye Fan’s origin and sharply shortened his remaining lifespan. Lu Chen told him that his opportunity lay in the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land. Months later, while outsiders speculated that he had died, Lu Chen understood that he had gone there to obtain Sacred Fruit and Divine Spring water to heal the injury 118 122.
Conflicts with the Holy Lands and the Myriad Dragon Nest
When the Yin-Yang Sect abducted gifted children in the Southern Region, including Xiao Nannan, Ye Fan killed its Holy Son and Holy Maiden in anger. The act made him a mortal enemy of the Central Plains sect 136.
At the Jade Pool’s Flat Peach Gathering, Nangong Zheng’s account of the Bronze Immortal Palace forced Ye Fan to acknowledge that he had entered and escaped it. Major powers then accused him of obtaining the Ruthless Great Emperor’s Swallowing Heaven Demon Art. Ye Fan denied the accusation; Lu Chen recognized it as a pretext to seize his cauldron, True Dragon Divine Medicine, and other treasures. Pressed by the assembled powers, Ye Fan revealed the Myriad Dragon Nest as the medicine’s location, partly to set a trap 138.
Within the nest, Ye Fan and his companions obtained an Immortal Treasure Map, and he received two strands of primal dragon qi. Lu Chen explained that the map contained routes to Kunlun and the Starry Sky Ancient Road, revealing that Kunlun was on Earth. He also identified the Five-Colored Altar in the Desolate Ancient Abyss as a possible route home and advised Ye Fan to take the map to Kunlun if he returned 142 143.
After escaping the Myriad Dragon Nest, Ye Fan, Lu Chen, and the Black Emperor became targets of kill orders issued in response to the deaths of several Holy Lords and many other cultivators. They ignored demands for an explanation and turned toward the Central Plains rather than directly confronting the enraged Eastern Wasteland powers 144 146.
Central Plains Journey
During the journey to the Central Plains, the Black Emperor’s unreliable teleportation experiments temporarily displaced Ye Fan, although he eventually returned. In Lu City, Ye Fan guided Lu Chen to an Ancient Pagoda Grove associated with an emperor’s secluded cultivation 147.
He used the alias Ye Zhetian in the Central Plains. At a confrontation involving the Gao Family and Qishi Mansion, a Great Power of the Xiao Family recognized him and accused him of killing a family disciple; Ye Fan was explicitly identified as not belonging to Qishi Mansion 154.
At the Immortal Pool, Ye Fan used the Weapon secret art to seize the green copper and borrowed the pool’s power through his Source Arts to fight his way out. The Great Xia and Jiuli Dynasties pursued him with Emperor Weapons, but the Peacock King and Red Dragon Daoist blocked the Taihuang Sword, while Duan De and the Heavenly Blind Elder used the Devouring Heaven Demon Jar to halt the Jiuli Diagram. Ye Fan escaped down the mountain with the treasure 169.
Battle with Wang Teng and Departure Across the Stars
Ye Fan visited the Ji Family to help Ji Ziyue out of her predicament, bringing a small Bronze Ancient Coffin retrieved from the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land. Pang Bo, Demon Race experts, the Thirteen Great Bandits, the Red Dragon Daoist, the Saint Emperor’s Imperial Prince, and Lu Chen gathered to support him 182 183.
At this time, Ye Fan was in Immortal One, whereas Wang Teng had reached at least the middle stage of Immortal Two. Ye Fan could not overcome that disparity through cultivation and forbidden-domain combat strength alone. Nevertheless, he defeated Wang Teng using the Bronze Ancient Coffin and Saint Flame. When a Ji Family member invoked the Void Mirror, the coffin withstood it until the Ji Family Holy Lord ended the confrontation 183.
Lu Chen revealed the Immortal Treasure Map’s Kunlun route and star map, and the Black Emperor prepared a formation to open the coffin. Its opening released a destructive force, after which it returned to the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land and rejoined the Nine Dragons Pulling a Coffin. Ye Fan boarded in the hope of returning to Earth, while Pang Bo and Lu Chen declined to accompany him. Lu Chen reassured the grieving Ji Ziyue, Xiao Nannan, and their companions that Ye Fan would return in ten years 183.
This departure did not immediately bring Ye Fan home. His later companions Li Tian and Yan Yixi are identified as having followed him from Ziwei Star 183 283.
Duel with Yuan Gu and the Sky-Cutting Mountain Trap
At Qixia Plain, Ye Fan fought Yuan Gu, an eighth-generation descendant of an Ancient Emperor who had already entered the Immortal Three King realm. Ye Fan remained at the peak of Immortal Two because concern for his parents impeded his progress toward Severing the Dao. Despite this disparity, he killed Yuan Gu after half a day of fierce combat 262.
Ancient Race Ancestor Kings attempted to attack him afterward. Lu Chen and the Black Tortoise Demon Saint intervened, while further Ancestor Kings appeared as the Primordial Myriad Races sought to use Yuan Gu’s death to force the Human Race into submission 262.
Ye Fan and his companions later used the Qilin Divine Medicine as bait to lure enemies into the Sky-Cutting Mountain Range. Once assassins, Ancient Race cultivators, and treasure-seekers assembled, they activated an incomplete Beginningless Killing Formation that killed nearly all the attackers. Lu Chen interrupted the trapped Divine Spirit Resentment before it could borrow its previous life’s power and sealed it in the Immortal-Slaying Gourd. His explanation introduced Ye Fan to the approaching Dark Turmoil, a calamity greater than a simple conflict between humans and the Ancient Race 273.
Return to Earth
After obtaining an Eternal Kingdom spaceship from Lu Chen, Ye Fan needed Earth’s stellar coordinates to use it. Lu Chen directed him toward the Eternal Eclosion Ancestral Temple, where Ye Fan resolved to seek the coordinates despite its dangers. He successfully recovered them among the Feathered Divine Dynasty’s records of ancient life stars 274 281.
Nearly twenty years after leaving Earth, Ye Fan departed aboard the spaceship with Pang Bo, Liu Yiyi, Zhang Wenchang, and Ji Ziyue. Lu Chen refused to join them. Other companions abandoned plans to visit after learning that Earth’s severe Great Dao suppression and depleted spiritual energy would hinder cultivation 283.
Lu Chen had already visited Ye Fan’s parents and restored their health, allowing them to survive until their son’s return. Ye Fan reunited with them, spent nearly ten years on Earth, and settled his affairs before resuming his journey through the stars. More than a hundred years after the friends’ previous parting, he reunited with Lu Chen at the Myriad Races Gathering and thanked him for preserving his parents’ lives 192 352.
During his activities on Earth, Ye Fan removed the damaged Green Cauldron from the Immortal Pool at the center of the Ninety-Nine Dragon Mountains. This stopped the ninety-nine ancestral dragon veins from draining Earth’s essence and caused them to nourish the planet instead, contributing to the revival of spiritual energy and the public emergence of cultivation 397.
Dark Turmoil and the Rise of Heavenly Court
When the Dark Turmoil approached, Ye Fan was prepared to risk his life against the Supremes. Lu Chen proposed instead retrieving two Great Accomplishment Sacred Body corpses and placing them under a more suitable wielder. Guided by the Black Emperor and Xiao Nannan, Ye Fan entered Saint Cliff, merged with its Sacred Body corpse, and brought it out 360.
The awakened Mars Sacred Body’s lingering obsession displaced Ye Fan from the corpses and imparted a special method to him. It then merged with both the Saint Cliff body and the corpse of Great Emperor Wushi’s father. Ye Fan contributed Wushi’s blood essence and Formation Platform to prolong the senior’s participation in the battle against the Dark Turmoil 360.
Ye Fan founded the Heavenly Court of this era. It expanded steadily, although initially it lacked a pinnacle Quasi-Emperor comparable to those of the Dao Palace, Phoenix Nest, God Organization, and Underworld. Xiao Nannan’s presence nevertheless deterred powerful enemies from acting rashly against it 371.
Lu Chen’s use of the Mars Sacred Body altered Ye Fan’s original experience of fighting the Supremes during the Dark Turmoil. Without that particular tempering, his cultivation advanced somewhat more slowly, and his Sacred Body had still not reached full completion at the time of Lu Chen’s later reflections 399.
Great Accomplishment and Battles Against the Forbidden Zones
Ye Fan’s Quasi-Emperor Ninth Heaven tribulation drew attacks from the Tyrant Body lineage and interference from the forbidden zones. He continued resisting without asking Lu Chen for help. Lu Chen regarded these attacks as part of Ye Fan’s tempering and chose to confront the Undying Mountain’s interference rather than take over his fight against the Tyrant Bodies 405.
After surviving his ninefold tribulation and reaching Sacred Body great accomplishment, Ye Fan fought two aged Great Accomplished Tyrant Bodies. Despite his weakened state after the tribulation, he killed both. Lu Chen refrained from interfering in the duel but prevented the battle’s destructive power from spreading into inhabited star domains 407.
Ye Fan subsequently joined Lu Chen in the Mythic Battlefield against Forbidden Zone Supremes. He blasted apart the Beast God on entering the battle and later destroyed the Roc Emperor’s escaping primordial spirit with Nine Secrets: Xing and the Heavenly Emperor Fist. Of the ten masters of the emperor’s way killed during the confrontation, three died beneath Ye Fan’s fist and seven were slain by Lu Chen 412 413.
Afterward, Lu Chen assigned the Immortal Mausoleum’s immortal treasures and divine medicines to Ye Fan. By this stage, their longstanding friendship no longer required the strict accounting that had characterized their early resource exchanges 414.
The Immortal Gate and Proving the Dao
On the second Immortal Path, Ye Fan helped penetrate the sealed region’s restrictions with his golden blood energy and the Cauldron of All-Things Mother Qi. By the time the Immortal Gate appeared, he had achieved alternative Dao attainment and was stronger than an ordinary Great Emperor 418 421.
After Lu Chen destroyed Emperor Zun’s phantom body and freed the Immortal Ascension Cauldron’s spirit, the spirit became a chubby little boy and returned to Ye Fan’s care. Lu Chen offered to protect Ye Fan if he entered the Immortal Domain, but Ye Fan refused to abandon the friends and loved ones waiting in the Human World 422.
Two thousand years later, when Lu Chen was three thousand years old, Ye Fan proved the Dao and became an emperor. He broke not only the Sacred Body’s longstanding restriction against attaining the Dao, but also the suppression imposed by the reigning emperor’s Great Dao. His achievement shook the myriad domains 425.
Later Reunion and Lu Chen’s Origins
After ten thousand more years, Ye Fan and Lu Chen were the only remaining contemporaries of their golden age still present together; their old acquaintances had died or been sealed within divine source. When Lu Chen was thirteen thousand years old, Ye Fan visited him beneath the Enlightenment Ancient Tea Tree 426.
Ye Fan finally confronted Lu Chen about his origins. After becoming an emperor, he had searched Earth’s past from Mount Tai and found no trace of Lu Chen, including during the departure of the Nine Dragons Pulling a Coffin. He also presented a biscuit box bearing a 2022 production date, inconsistent with their 2010 departure. Lu Chen acknowledged coming from another world and explained it as a parallel world with a later timeline 426.
Strange World and the River of Time
In the Strange World, Ye Fan and Heavenly Court stood alongside Great Emperor Wushi against the Undying Heavenly Emperor’s faction. Lu Chen arrived as reinforcement and challenged the Undying Heavenly Emperor, while Wushi fought the native Red Dust Immortal and the enemy’s followers attacked Ye Fan, Chuan Ying, and their companions 448.
In his latest documented appearance, Ye Fan emerged from the River of Time above the Golden Great Desert on the Two-World Battlefield, standing on his cauldron. A battle at both ends of time had accidentally torn open the Gate of Time, and his blue-armored opponent followed him through. Ye Fan killed the beast, shattered its primordial spirit, and absorbed its corpse and blood into his cauldron 489.
He then approached Anlan but acknowledged that fighting across their different spacetime continuums could endanger all existence. Lu Chen’s original body subsequently arrived and challenged Anlan directly 489.
Foreknown Future
Lu Chen’s knowledge of the original course of events identifies Ye Fan as a future Heavenly Emperor. These early references describe later developments, not achievements reached during the Northern Region journey; Ye Fan subsequently proves the Dao in the altered course of events as well 9 425.
In that future, Ye Fan forges a Nine-Colored Immortal Cauldron. During his second life as Heavenly Emperor, the ominous affliction associated with Source Heavenly Masters manifests in his twilight years; he ends it by killing its sources, the Source God and Source Ghost 18 22.
Lu Chen also recalls an alternate course in which Ye Fan obtained a damaged Black Gourd after killing the Purple Mansion Holy Son, later using it against Wang Teng and a Great Saint-level Primordial Ancestral King. In the documented altered course, Lu Chen acquires that weapon and names it the Immortal-Slaying Gourd 30 32.
Appearance
- After consuming divine medicine: Appears approximately eleven or twelve years old, with a jade-like, childlike appearance shared with Pang Bo 8.
- Approximately three years after arrival: Appears to be a boy of thirteen or fourteen when surrounded by Ji Family cultivators 32.
- Disguises: Adopts the appearance of a young Daoist priest during his Northern Region inquiries into Buddhism 53.
- At Sacred Body great accomplishment: Surrounded by blazing golden light and overwhelming golden blood energy during battles with the Forbidden Zone Supremes 412.
- Appearance through the River of Time: Arrives standing atop his cauldron above the Golden Great Desert 489.
Personality
Ye Fan is cautious and observant. He stops his classmates from rushing toward Lu Chen on Mars and repeatedly notices that the stranger’s explanations conceal something. Under pressure, he focuses on immediate survival, recognizing both the defensive and offensive value of the Buddhist artifacts 1 4 6.
He values loyalty and dislikes taking a friend’s help for granted. Lu Chen’s rescue leaves a lasting impression on him, and he insists on treating the subsequent gift of Source as a loan. His longing for Earth is rooted particularly in concern for his parents 11 36.
Although capable of anger and defiance, he can restrain himself when retaliation would be overwhelming. He nearly throws a classmate into the Martian sandstorm after an attempted theft, yet later declines to have Ji Hui killed until he possesses the strength to bear the consequences himself 6 35.
He is resourceful in conversation and deception. While disguised as a Daoist priest, he uses flattery and persuasive stories to approach the Great Xia Imperial Prince and seek information about Buddhism. His ingenuity also extends to using coveted treasures as bait against enemies 53 138 273.
His cultivation ambitions are expansive: while still struggling with an incomplete Dao Palace method, he proposes collecting the strongest scripture scroll for each of the Five Great Secret Realms. At the same time, he recognizes the practical value of fair exchange, willingly trading an immortal material he does not urgently need for a scripture essential to his progress 61.
His attachment to family is both a motivation and an obstacle. Worry over his parents becomes an obsession that obstructs Severing the Dao, yet reuniting with them does not extinguish his determination to cultivate. Much later, he refuses entry into the Immortal Domain because he will not leave his loved ones behind 262 352 422.
Abilities & Skills
Desolate Ancient Sacred Body
A powerful constitution that gives Ye Fan exceptional physical strength and blood energy, but is suppressed by heaven and earth in the current era 5 21 42.
- Close combat: Most opponents of the same realm, apart from a small number of supreme prodigies, risk having their bodies or magical treasures broken by a single punch 21.
- Yang blood energy: Lu Chen expects it to deter the weakened deity remnant hiding aboard the bronze coffin 5.
- Resource burden: Advancement requires vastly more Source than ordinary cultivation; much of that expenditure breaks the Sacred Body’s suppression rather than becoming divine power 22 42 50.
- Resilience: Enables him to survive Elder Han’s attempt to refine him into a pill 14.
- Dao Palace resource requirement: Advancing from the fourth to fifth heaven requires a million jin of Source, most of which is expended against the physique’s suppression rather than absorbed as divine power 50.
- Four Extremes curse: Requires more than sufficient resources alone; the Divine King helps him break it, although the Great Dao wounds his origin 117 118 122.
- Great accomplishment: Reached upon entering Quasi-Emperor Ninth Heaven, granting combat strength comparable to a Great Emperor and enabling him to kill two aged Great Accomplished Tyrant Bodies 407 412.
- Breaking the restriction against proving the Dao: Eventually becomes an emperor despite both the Sacred Body’s shackles and the suppression of Lu Chen’s reigning Great Dao 425.
Tianxuan Footwork
Peerless movement techniques associated with the Tianxuan Holy Land’s Mad Old Man 33 37.
- Mysterious Dao Patterns appear beneath his feet when he prepares to flee the Ji Family’s attacks 33.
- His connection to the Mad Old Man is one reason the Peacock King considers him worth protecting 37.
Great Void Technique
A secret art of the Void Ancient Scripture, learned from Ji Ziyue 32 33.
- Its possession by an outsider prompts the Ji Family’s pursuit 33.
- Ye Fan threatens to broadcast it through divine sense to thousands of cultivators, temporarily deterring his pursuers 32.
- The threat would not protect him from an expert capable of killing him before transmission 33.
Bronze Coffin Scripture Perception
Ye Fan alone hears several hundred words of scripture from the smaller bronze coffin 6.
- The inscription concerns repairing the immortal domain rather than a cultivation method 6.
- Its characters are Great Emperor Dao Patterns containing profound mysteries 6.
- Whether his access results from the Bodhi Seed, his Sacred Body, or another cause remains unresolved 6.
Ancient Scripture Cultivation
- Western Emperor Scripture, Dao Palace Scroll: Initially possesses only the incomplete Scripture Key recorded in the Source Heaven Book. Acquires the complete scroll from Lu Chen and uses it to perfect his Dao Palace cultivation 61.
- Five Secret Realm scripture plan: Seeks the Dao Scripture’s Wheel Sea Scroll, Western Emperor Scripture’s Dao Palace Scroll, Hengyu Scripture’s Four Extremes Scroll, Taihuang Scripture’s Dragon Transformation Scroll, and Solar Ancient Scripture’s Immortal Platform Scroll. Lu Chen’s foreknowledge states that he ultimately realizes this ambition, but the exchange at Stone Village directly establishes only his acquisition of the complete Dao Palace Scroll 61.
Source Heavenly Arts
Ye Fan obtains the Source Heaven Book after following Lu Chen’s directions to Stone Village and becomes a practitioner of Source Heavenly Arts 42 61 143.
- Source Arts contests: Wins a documented contest in the Northern Region 104.
- Treasure-seeking: Uses Source Heavenly Arts in searches for divine treasures, including in the Myriad Dragon Nest 143.
- Borrowing terrain power: Uses his Source Arts to draw on the Immortal Pool’s power and contend against mighty experts while escaping with the green copper 169.
- Altered appearance: Uses a disguise that Lu Chen, who has not yet cultivated the Source Heaven Divine Eye, cannot see through 53.
Nine Secrets and Combat Arts
- Weapon secret art: Uses it to seize the green copper during the struggle at the Immortal Pool 169.
- Nine Secrets: Xing: Moves rapidly enough to intercept the Roc Emperor’s fleeing primordial spirit during the battle against the forbidden zones 412.
- Heavenly Emperor Fist: Destroys the Roc Emperor’s primordial spirit and accounts for three of the ten emperor-way masters slain in the joint campaign with Lu Chen 412 413.
- Eight Forbidden Domain: Possesses this combat capability by his confrontation with Wang Teng, though Wang Teng’s greater cultivation and ability to cross forbidden levels prevent it from deciding that battle alone 183.
- Divine flame tactics: Uses powerful external flames against opponents whose cultivation exceeds his own; Saint Flame is instrumental in his defeat of Wang Teng 60 183.
Sacred Body Corpse Merging
- Merges with the Great Accomplishment Sacred Body corpse at Saint Cliff and carries it out with guidance from the Black Emperor and Xiao Nannan 360.
- Temporarily controls the two retrieved Sacred Body corpses before the Mars Sacred Body’s awakened obsession takes over 360.
- Receives an unspecified special method from the Mars Sacred Body, imparted directly into his Immortal Platform 360.
Temporal and Immortal King-Level Capabilities
- Tracing the past: After becoming an emperor, looks back through Earth’s history from Mount Tai, discovering that Lu Chen has no trace in that world’s past 426.
- Immortal King-level combat: Fights an opponent whose power rivals an Immortal King, tears apart its true body, and destroys its primordial spirit 489.
- Appearance across time: Emerges through an accidentally opened Gate of Time during a battle between peerless experts at two points in time. This does not establish that he can freely alter another era; he acknowledges the catastrophic consequences of fighting Anlan across different spacetime continuums 489.
