Kurapika and A Luo tried to protect Feitan and the others from the Phantom Troupe, then joined forces with Owl and the Shadow Beasts to capture Uvogin. They left Uvogin with the remaining Shadow Beasts and headed for the Troupe’s hideout, unaware that Hisoka had already left to find them and that his disguised substitute was struggling to maintain the deception.
A Luo and Kurapika ambushed the Phantom Troupe at the Abandoned Building, but Illumi’s impersonation of Hisoka and the returning Spiders disrupted their plan. Outnumbered and with A Luo’s Protective Golden Bell shattered, they negotiated their escape by threatening the Troupe with a powerful bomb.
A Luo and Kurapika returned to Yorknew with Pakunoda, while Hisoka misled the Spider about his loyalties. As the Spider planned to rescue Uvogin, Chrollo grew more suspicious of Hisoka and sent him to investigate the people guarding Uvogin.
A Luo and Kurapika questioned the captured Pakunoda about the Kurta Clan massacre, but she refused to reveal anything. After learning Hisoka had freed Uvogin and another Spider had been rescued, they prepared for the Phantom Troupe to attack the hotel and considered what to do with Pakunoda.
Kurapika and A Luo confronted the Spiders after capturing Pakunoda, and A Luo revealed that Phinks was also in their hands. Chrollo halted the fight and asked what they wanted, opening the possibility of negotiation.
A Luo and Kurapika fought Feitan and Uvogin while the Spiders watched, then used a distraction and the Zoldyck Family’s help to escape aboard an airship. Kalluto piloted them to safety and asked whether Killua was also in Yorknew City.
A Luo and Kurapika escaped with help from the Zoldyck Family, and Kurapika killed Uvogin while interrogating him about the Kurta Clan massacre. After A Luo and Kurapika burned Uvogin’s body, the Phantom Troupe found the ashes and prepared to pursue them.
The Mafia hired assassins and announced a bounty on the Phantom Troupe, while Gon, Killua, and Leorio tracked down two Spiders but realized they could not capture them. As the Troupe weighed retreating after Uvogin’s death and Pakunoda’s capture, Chrollo chose to launch a new plan using Kurapika and the Scarlet Eyes as bait.
A Luo learned Gon and Killua had gone missing while Kurapika learned Neon had disappeared, forcing them to split up and investigate. At the abandoned factory, A Luo watched the Spiders capture the boys, and Shalnark began questioning Hisoka about his connections to them and Kurapika.
A Luo emerged from hiding after Feitan threatened Killua, and she began fighting him while urging Gon and Killua to escape. The other Spiders had departed for Yorknew City, leaving A Luo facing Feitan and Nobunaga.
A Luo and Feitan both collapsed after a poisoned blade stopped their fight, while Gon and Killua escaped Nobunaga. As Kurapika became the new captain of the bodyguards, he learned Gon and Killua were safe but received no answer about A Luo.
Kurapika stayed to guard Neon while the Phantom Troupe attacked the auction building, and Chrollo began a Requiem for Uvogin before confronting Silva and Zeno. As the Zoldycks attacked Chrollo, Kurapika wavered over whether to leave Neon and face the Spiders.
After Nobunaga knocked A Luo unconscious, the Phantom Troupe debated whether to keep hunting the Chain User or retreat. Chrollo’s fortunes pushed the group toward leaving, but Hisoka refused to go along with the retreat.
Hisoka manipulated the Phantom Troupe with a doctored prophecy, while Chrollo questioned him and pieced together clues about the Chain User. A Luo escaped during the commotion, and Chrollo asked Kortopi whether he could track copied objects.
A Luo escaped the Spiders and tried to reach Kurapika, but Chrollo tracked her using Kortopi’s copies and caught her near Yorknew City Hospital. She ended the chapter trapped in Chrollo’s arms, biting him in desperation.
Chrollo captured A Luo while the Spiders rushed to City Hospital, but Kurapika’s plan let A Luo escape with him and Chain Jail-bound Chrollo. Gon and Killua were left in the Spiders’ hands, and Kurapika beat Chrollo in a fit of anger.
Kurapika and his companions held Chrollo captive, but Chrollo calmly claimed he had no value as a hostage. A Luo challenged his view of his importance to the Phantom Troupe, and Kurapika called one of Chrollo’s contacts to negotiate for Gon and Killua.
With Gon and Killua held by the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika negotiated an exchange for Chrollo while A Luo and the others prioritized rescuing the boys over revenge. Hisoka joined the exchange hoping to fight Chrollo, but Chrollo revealed that Kurapika had sealed his Nen ability, leaving Hisoka stunned.
After recovering from the battle, A Luo discovered that her Nen Ability had vanished and suspected Chrollo had tampered with it while she was unconscious. She secretly left the group to find a way to restore her Nen, leaving Gon and Killua behind to continue their plans.
A Luo confronted Chrollo over the disappearance of her Nen Ability and condemned him for questioning Pakunoda’s sacrifice. She ordered the Guards she had hired to capture him, while Chrollo remained calm.
Chrollo admitted that he had sealed A Luo's Nen Ability and offered to restore it if she helped him contact the Spiders, but she negotiated to handle her own affairs first. At the auction, A Luo ran into Feitan and Phinks with Gon and Killua, and Feitan threatened her despite her role as Chrollo's contact.
A Luo learned that her sealed Nen Ability made her ineligible for Greed Island, despite accompanying Gon and Killua through their screening preparations. After leaving them to enter the game without her, she headed east to pursue Chrollo.
A Luo followed Chrollo east from Yorknew City, hoping to regain her ability by making him remove the Nen affecting her. Their journey together began with a dispute over who would pay for noodles, and Chrollo returned just as A Luo declared she was done following him.
A Luo, Chrollo, and Hisoka discussed finding an Exorcist who could restore Chrollo’s sealed Nen Ability, and learned that the man was inside Greed Island. A Luo arranged for the Spiders to search the game while she and Chrollo headed east, considering whether they could enter Greed Island from the real world.
A Luo and Chrollo tried to enter Greed Island from the real-world island but Razor expelled them, leaving them stranded in a forest. After contacting the Phantom Troupe and learning they still had no lead on the Exorcist, they reached the NGL Autonomous Region, where A Luo realized the Ant Queen was nearby.
