A Luo waited to wake Kikyo until she and Killua were ready to leave, while Killua explained his lack of concern and schemed to make money from Milluki's figures. After Milluki recovered his collection, Killua planned to leave Kukuroo Mountain before Illumi returned.
A Luo and Killua waited for Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio to finish climbing Kukuroo Mountain, then left with Gon to begin their training journey. After the group parted ways at the mountain’s foot, Gon chose Heavens Arena as their first destination so he could return Hisoka’s number plate and punch him.
Illumi learned that Silva had allowed Killua to leave the mountain and grew irritated, then attacked Milluki after finding a lace miniskirt in his room. At Heavens Arena, Killua blocked Milluki’s calls, leaving Milluki vowing to settle the score.
A Luo returned to her family’s abandoned dessert shop near Heavens Arena with Gon and Killua, and the three made it their temporary home. When A Luo refused a pass to the two-hundredth floor, the man who had destroyed her family appeared and accepted it in her place.
A Luo confronted the brown-haired man who had led the attack on her family, but he seized Gon and threatened to control him as a puppet. The standoff continued as Gon tried to escape and was caught again.
A Luo and Killua accepted a deadly Heavens Arena wager against the brown-haired man to save Gon, while A Luo tried to finish a new hidden weapon before their match. Killua vanished the night before the duel, and the chapter left Gon and Killua tied up in an inn while A Luo confronted the man.
At Heavens Arena, A Luo faced Sean Blade, the bounty Hunter who had killed her father, while Killua and Gon remained captive. Sean revealed that he had dug up Fan'en Reno and turned his corpse into a puppet, then used A Luo's grief and hesitation to attach his Nen to her.
A Luo defeated Xien in Heavens Arena after trapping him in the Avenger's Cage and killing him, but learned that her father Fan'en Reno had been dead for years and had only been animated as a puppet. After cremating his remains, A Luo collapsed outside the crematorium as Gon and Killua rushed to help her.
After years of revenge, A Luo collapsed from exhaustion and recovered in the hospital, where Gon and Killua told her how they had reached Heavens Arena’s two-hundredth floor. Upon discharge, she encountered Hisoka and rushed to Heavens Arena, hoping to stop Gon and Killua from being hurt during their Nen initiation.
A Luo hurried back to Heavens Arena to stop Sadaso, Gido, and their companion from targeting Gon and Killua, but Hisoka followed her and attacked when she brushed off his challenge. The chapter ended with Gon and Killua arriving to find Hisoka pelting A Luo’s Protective Golden Bell with cards.
A Luo warned Gon and Killua that the 200th Floor was dangerous for fighters who had not learned Nen, and urged them to seek Wing's help before midnight. After the boys successfully awakened their Nen and registered, A Luo asked them to take her to meet Wing, leaving the visit for the next day.
A Luo visited Wing with Gon and Killua, and Wing began testing the boys’ Nen types with Water Divination. A Luo demonstrated her Specialist ability by turning water into a powerful sleeping drug, leaving Gon and Zushi asleep while Killua and Wing reacted.
A Luo asked Wing whether Nen could resurrect the dead and sought advice about developing her Specialist ability, the Little Disc. As Gon recovered and the group dealt with the fighters who had targeted him and Killua, A Luo stayed out of their fight, and Heavens Arena prepared for Hisoka and Kastro’s match.
A Luo met Machi at Heavens Arena while Hisoka fought Kastro, then watched Machi stitch Hisoka’s severed arms back on and deliver the Phantom Troupe’s Yorknew City instructions. She proposed that she and Hisoka work together in Yorknew City.
A Luo told Hisoka she wanted to cooperate against the Phantom Troupe, but Feitan ambushed her before they could discuss the plan. She lured Feitan away from the city and fought him in the outskirts, determined to keep his ultimate technique away from Heavens Arena.
A Luo wounded Feitan with a poisoned Ghost Gate Needle, but he pierced her abdomen and unleashed Rising Sun before she could stop him. A Luo escaped to Heavens Arena and collapsed, where Hisoka found and carried her away, while Shalnark and Shizuku reached the battlefield and found Feitan alive.
Feitan demanded an antidote after fighting A Luo, but Shalnark and Shizuku kept the poison in his body until he was safely back with Chrollo. Hisoka watched A Luo recover at Heavens Arena, while Chrollo warned the Spiders that she had become too dangerous to fight alone; A Luo later woke to find Hisoka beside her.
After Hisoka saved and treated A Luo, the two agreed to cooperate against the Spiders in Yorknew City, though A Luo would have to protect herself until then. Just as she prepared to watch Gon fight Hisoka, Illumi appeared and said he had come to see her.
Illumi dragged A Luo into an assassination job, asking her to pose as his date at a party in exchange for a future favor. At the party, he found his target and unexpectedly left A Luo behind while taking another girl with him.
A Luo escaped the banquet with Illumi, then ditched him during a fight with Feitan, Shalnark, and Nobunaga. At Heavens Arena, she asked Gon to let her return to Whale Island with him and Killua so she could see Malena.
A Luo returned to Whale Island with Gon and Killua, reunited with her mother Malena, and joined Gon and Killua in opening Ging’s mysterious box. After learning Gon needed to find Greed Island to track down his father, Killua called Milluki for help, but Milluki refused.
A Luo, Gon, and Killua left Whale Island for Yorknew City, where Gon and Killua lost nearly all their money trying to trade at the Flea Market. After A Luo scolded them, Gon pawned his Hunter License to get funds so they could keep pursuing Greed Island.
A Luo arrived in Yorknew City, contacted Hisoka and William, and arranged to search for several people while William asked her to remove his father from power. As the Yorknew auction approached, Kurapika joined Neon’s guard detail and the Phantom Troupe gathered in the city, unaware that A Luo was looking for them.
A Luo reunited with Kurapika in Yorknew City and shared what she knew about the Phantom Troupe, then they planned to exploit the Spiders’ split during the underground auction. They ended the chapter preparing to act after the Troupe made its move, while Kurapika asked what A Luo meant by a disaster at the auction.
A Luo warned Kurapika that the Phantom Troupe would massacre everyone at the underground auction and explained why they needed to target Chrollo’s base first. When Kurapika learned that his colleagues had gone to the auction despite his warning, A Luo told him they would all die and left the choice of what to do next to him.
