Cang Tian rambled on about how vile humans were. The muscles in BanchoLeomon's face twitched until he could no longer contain his rage, and he attacked Belphemon, the vessel for Cang Tian's soul, with all his strength.
"BanchoLeomon, have you lost your mind?" Cang Tian snapped, but BanchoLeomon ignored him.
"I know you're fond of humans, but we shouldn't be enemies." Cang Tian tried to reason with BanchoLeomon, but BanchoLeomon turned a deaf ear.
"Stop! If you wake this monster, we're all finished!" Cang Tian screamed in terror. Inside Belphemon's body, another soul was slowly awakening.
"Everyone, what are you looking at?" Marcus Damon slowly woke up and found that everyone was ignoring him, so he couldn't help asking.
Thomas pointed at the distant battlefield without saying a word. Only then did Marcus Damon notice BanchoLeomon and Belphemon locked in battle. Belphemon was simply taking a beating, but BanchoLeomon's attacks seemed to be a waste of effort. Even a full-strength Burning Bancho Fist did nothing beyond sending Belphemon flying. The scattered energy blasted craters across the ground; that alone revealed that this was a clash between immensely powerful fighters.
"Agumon, let's help." Marcus Damon rubbed his fists together and tried to charge forward again, only for everyone to block him.
"Why are you stopping us? Can't you see BanchoLeomon fighting all alone?" Agumon struggled a couple of times, then complained.
"Can't you see BanchoLeomon is fighting Belphemon one-on-one?" Yoshino snapped. Seeing Marcus Damon's stiff expression filled her with sweet satisfaction.
"Die!" BanchoLeomon roared, driving a fist into Belphemon's belly. As usual, Belphemon went flying. This time, however, the Burning Bancho Fist didn't shatter, but embedded itself in Belphemon's skin.
Belphemon's eyes snapped open and fixed on BanchoLeomon, who wore a relieved smile.
