No Iron Body for Me

The day's classes ended.

Naruto and the others had spent the whole day playing games.

As it turned out, playing games was much easier than listening in class. Not a single person playing said they were tired.

Instead, every one of them was eager to keep playing.

Naruto pointed at Iruka-sensei's retreating back as he left with his teaching materials packed up. "School's over for today. Let's play again tomorrow!"

"Aw... all right!" The others could only reluctantly agree.

Seeing how readily they accepted new things, Naruto decided to put in a little advertising.

"Guys... in a few days, I'll have an even more fun game ready. I'm also going to open a gaming center on Konoha Business Street. You can all come play then. It'll be free!"

At Naruto's words, the rookies grew excited. They already thought the League of Legends they'd played today was great fun, and now there was an even better game to look forward to.

When he got home, he only saw Kurapika sorting through the Movie Projectors and Wolffy still hammering and wrenching away at the production line.

After setting down the Space Backpack, Naruto's Shadow Clone dispelled himself.

Naruto, who was training under Teacher Zeff in the forest, suddenly froze. A stream of memories entered his mind.

Soon, everything that had happened at school that day appeared in his mind.

Compared to what the other Shadow Clone had been up to, this one's day could only be called uneventful.

"What's wrong, Naruto?"

Seeing Naruto suddenly freeze, Zeff asked in confusion.

"Nothing. One of my Shadow Clones just dispelled himself."

"Let's keep going, Teacher Zeff!"

With that, Naruto put on his blindfold and took his stance, waiting for Zeff's surprise attacks.

Before long, Naruto's screams and the sound of a wooden stick striking flesh rang out through the forest.

Naruto was currently training to awaken his Observation Haki.

Observation Haki didn't demand much physical strength, and its sensory abilities could indeed be awakened through external stimulation.

As it happened, the commotion here would probably draw Shisui Uchiha over to investigate, too.

Training his Observation Haki while lying in wait for Shisui Uchiha killed two birds with one stone.

The only thing that left Naruto a little frustrated was... Teacher Zeff's stick really hurt!

Over an hour later.

Naruto was knocked flying by the stick for who knew which time.

Luckily, Naruto had already awakened his Nen, and it was the Enhancement Type, which boosted his physical strength and recovery speed. Otherwise... Teacher Zeff would probably have beaten him straight into the Healing Machine long ago.

Just as Naruto got to his feet, footsteps sounded nearby.

"Damn... finally here?"

As he spoke, Naruto took off his blindfold and looked back, only to see Rock Lee running toward them.

"Naruto... Teacher Zeff... so this is where you were!"

Coming up to Naruto and seeing his disheveled state, Rock Lee asked, "Teacher Zeff, is there some new training today?"

Zeff nodded. "Yes! For both of you. Naruto is training his perception, while you... will be training in Iron Body, one of the Six Powers!"

"Huh? Didn't Naruto say we shouldn't learn Iron Body?"

Rock Lee scratched the back of his head and asked in confusion.

When they first started learning the Six Powers, Naruto had indeed said he wouldn't learn Iron Body.

The main reason was that Iron Body was such a trap.

As the saying went, there were countless users of the Marines' Six Powers, but half of them were finished once they used Iron Body.

That really wasn't just a joke. One Piece had plenty of famous scenes where someone trusted their Iron Body, only to get put in their place.

Especially that long-haired Marine who looked so confident.

Two years earlier, Luffy had smashed through his Iron Body. Two years later, Zeff had smashed through it.

So... of the Six Powers, Iron Body was the one Naruto disliked most.

Naruto had also told Zeff he wouldn't learn Iron Body, and even if he did, he would learn it last.

And even after learning it, he wouldn't use it. That skill was just too much of a trap.

Hearing Rock Lee's words, Zeff glanced at Naruto, then said, "Don't worry. He isn't learning it, but you can. Go ahead and learn it!"

Rock Lee nodded at that. He trusted Teacher Zeff not to fool him.

Then... Zeff had Naruto create another Shadow Clone, who also took a stick and began beating Rock Lee.

Rock Lee, meanwhile, had to clench and tense his muscles for defense at the instant Naruto's Shadow Clone attacked.

After assigning Rock Lee his training, Zeff resumed beating the blindfolded Naruto.

For some reason, Naruto kept feeling that Teacher Zeff was hitting a little harder...

Since a hundred was rather a lot, Kurapika decided to find their buyer, Sister Hua, first, then have her arrange for people to help carry them.

"Finding ninja to help carry everything, of course! And to escort the Movie Projectors to the Land of Fire while they're at it!"

Sister Hua spoke as though it were only natural.
