In the office.
Hiruzen Sarutobi gave himself a badass name: [Monkey King].
Meanwhile, since Danzo was the one being wooed, he named himself [Little Tuantuan].
Since he was the one being wooed, he had to choose a slightly feminine name (ninja logic).
What Danzo didn't know was that once he chose a name, he couldn't change it unless he paid.
And so, in the first round, Monkey King did the wooing, while Little Tuantuan was the target.
To win, Little Tuantuan set all sorts of difficult tasks and rejected every request the other player made.
Yet even so, the seasoned Monkey King ultimately managed to win Little Tuantuan over.
Little Tuantuan even earned the title [Tsundere Girlfriend].
This infuriated Danzo, sitting at his computer. He kept insisting the game was rigged. He had rejected every advance, yet his opponent could still capture his character's heart through forceful tactics...
Their roles reversed.
This time, Little Tuantuan had to woo Monkey King.
Lacking experience with the game, Little Tuantuan could only imitate Monkey King's approach.
But... reality proved that someone without experience couldn't succeed. In the end, Monkey King slapped Little Tuantuan more than a dozen times, marking Little Tuantuan's defeat.
After winning, Monkey King even typed a taunt in the public chat.
[Hah? That's all you've got?]
"That was easy! So this is online multiplayer? There's no challenge at all!"
The Third Hokage took a puff of smoke and spoke smugly.
Danzo, by contrast, was furious. Although he didn't know who his opponent was, the word "monkey" in the name alone annoyed him, because it reminded him of that monkey, Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"Monkey King, is it? Just you wait. I'll beat you for sure!"
With that, Danzo stopped grinding Dark Souls III and shifted his battlefield to Ninja Guide.
Meanwhile.
At Naruto's House.
Naruto, Wolffy, Zeff, and Kurapika were all watching the computer screen before them.
The screen showed the game the Third Hokage and Danzo had just played.
Once Naruto's shadow clone dispelled himself, the real Naruto learned exactly what his clone had done!
After learning what his clone had been up to, Naruto had only one thing to say: "That's me, all right!"
Then Naruto brought Zeff and the others over to watch the Third Hokage and Danzo try to woo each other in the game.
"What an eyesore! Two old men pushing fifty were not only playing a romance game, but even trying to woo each other!"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk..." Wolffy shook his head and sighed. "People just aren't what they used to be!"
Seeing Wolffy shake his head, Naruto teased him with a grin.
"You're a wolf. What do you know about people?"
Kurapika, on the other hand, smiled after watching that eye-searing display of mutual courtship.
"It looks like both the Third Hokage and Danzo have some interest in games! I think... this gives us an even better chance of promoting the metaverse and saving the Uchiha!"
"Yeah! True..." As he spoke, Naruto looked at Wolffy. "King Wolffy, you'd better hurry up and get that headset production line ready!"
"We're all counting on you!"
"I'm already working on it. Don't worry, I'll have the production line ready by tomorrow!"
After hearing that, Naruto stopped pushing. Wolffy, that walking cheat of a wolf, was very reliable.
Knowing the Virtual Headsets would be ready in a few days, Naruto began considering the preparations that came next.
Once the headsets were ready, promoting them in Konoha wouldn't be difficult.
Judging by the Third Hokage, Danzo, and the Rookies he had met yesterday, the people of Konoha were very receptive to new things, especially the ninjas.
The real headache was the Uchiha.
Thanks to the actions of the Konoha High Command, the Uchiha were now almost completely disconnected from the Konoha Group.
If being disconnected from the Konoha Group were their only issue, things would be manageable. The problem was that the Uchiha had plenty of serious issues of their own.
Most Uchiha were arrogant, delusionally self-important, and prickly.
Other kekkei genkai more or less came with hereditary ailments. And the Uchiha? Their whole clan suffered from delusions of grandeur, the kind that couldn't be cured without a beating.
The trouble was, very few people could beat them into submission.
With that in mind, Naruto decided to find someone reasonably reliable to work with.
As for who, he already had someone in mind.
Shisui Uchiha was an excellent candidate.
Shisui Uchiha genuinely wanted to help the Uchiha and Konoha resolve their conflict.
And Shisui Uchiha had nearly succeeded back then. With Kotoamatsukami, he could simply hypnotize the Uchiha leadership and settle everything.
But the biggest problem was... he was too naive. He told Danzo the secret of his Kotoamatsukami.
Because of Danzo's greed, he lost his chance to save the Uchiha.
He even entrusted his other Mangekyo Sharingan to his close friend, Uchiha Itachi.
But that unfortunate kid, Itachi, went in the exact opposite direction. Rather than using Kotoamatsukami to stop everything, he chose the most extreme method: slaughtering his entire clan... to prevent the Uchiha rebellion.
All Naruto could say was that the two really were close friends: one was endearingly naive, while the other was tragically extreme.
Aside from being someone who genuinely wanted to resolve the Uchiha's problems, Shisui Uchiha had another advantage... the kid was incredibly easy to fool!
No sooner thought than done.
Naruto planned to find Shisui by himself. As for where to look? That was easy too. The place where he had fought Mizuki yesterday would do.
The Uchiha Residence lay in front of those woods, and the Konoha Training Ground behind them. If Shisui wanted to go home, he would definitely have to pass through.
Naruto then shared his idea with Kurapika and Teacher Zeff.
After hearing Naruto's plan, Zeff immediately agreed. He also said he would accompany Naruto there over the next few days to lie in wait, while training Naruto along the way so he could awaken his Haki sooner!
Since Zeff had spoken first, Kurapika said nothing more.
The only thing that troubled Kurapika was... now he would be the one delivering the Movie Projector and Adult Movie Discs to the Wind and Water Shop...
Meanwhile.
At school.
The back of the classroom was unusually lively today, yet also unusually quiet.
It was lively because each of the six people in the back row had a laptop.
And it was quiet because everyone back there was absorbed in gaming. Even when they talked, they kept their voices low.
Naruto, Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru, and Sasuke were playing as a five-man team.
Hinata, sitting beside Naruto, was playing Plants vs. Zombies, which Naruto had downloaded for her.
The five-man team's roles were clearly assigned.
Choji played a tank in the top lane.
Sasuke played the ADC, the role that drew the most aggro.
Shikamaru handled shot-calling while playing support for Sasuke, occasionally having to snap their ADC out of his urge to show off.
Naruto handled mid lane and sometimes roamed.
Finally, Kiba was the jungler.
The five of them played all day. Although none of them was particularly skilled individually, Shikamaru's commands and calculations always let them turn defeat into victory.
They weren't making much noise while gaming, but they still drew the other students' attention.
Especially Sakura and Ino, the two girls who liked Sasuke.
The two soon took seats beside Sasuke to watch him play.
Shino, whose presence was rather easy to overlook, also sat behind Naruto. He wanted to fit into the group as much as possible, but no one seemed to notice that another person had joined them in the back.
Although Iruka, who was teaching, was irritated by the commotion in the back row, he said nothing. These students all came from major clans and were the privileged children of the class.
But soon, he noticed someone who didn't belong there: [Sakura Haruno].
"Sakura Haruno, please return to your seat!"
Iruka's voice rang out, leaving Sakura, who had been swooning beside Sasuke, reluctant to move.
But remembering that she wasn't like these privileged heirs, and that she had to study or she wouldn't graduate, she could only return to her original seat and leave her current spot to Ino.
