Meng Fan rescued Power from Mayser, exposed his contract with the Muscle Devil, and defeated him with his Freddy powers. After Power killed Mayser and Meng Fan absorbed the Muscle Devil, he used a mirror to make the money disappear, leaving Denji and Power bewildered.

• Meng Fan cleared luxury goods from the second-floor rooms and dropped wine bottles to Denji and another person below, who were collecting money.
• Meng Fan kicked open a locked room on the third floor and met a mustached Moore Family member, who offered him a billion dollars and a partnership.
• The man asked Meng Fan to compete in the War of Devils, but Meng Fan rejected representing the Island Nation and then refused a direct tournament spot.
• The man offered to arrange Hollywood's best director for Meng Fan's movie, prompting Meng Fan to ask how he knew about the production.
• The Moore Family member explained that his family controlled the movie industry and described the War of Devils as a competition for powerful Devil Contractors and Devilmen.
• Meng Fan had the man hold his mirror while he carried a TV into the Mirror Space, then dismissed the ability as Doraemon's Anywhere Door.

Meng Fan agreed to enter the Moore Family’s Devil battle for a large payment and stripped the venue of its TVs and furniture with Power and Denji. After replacing Aki Hayakawa’s broken TV and bringing home new supplies, Meng Fan learned that Makima had come to invite Denji on a date, which Power also wanted to join.

• Meng Fan negotiated a hundred-million-dollar advance and ten billion dollars if he won the Moore Family’s Devil battle, which would take place at SoFi Stadium.
• Meng Fan, Power, and Denji hauled away the venue’s TVs and furniture, then returned home and replaced Aki Hayakawa’s broken TV several times.
• Meng Fan counted the money he had collected in the Mirror Space and later brought home salmon, clothes, shoes, hats, and breast pads for Power and Denji.

Denji went on a movie date with Makima while Meng Fan finished filming the first A Nightmare on Elm Street and celebrated with the cast. After discovering that Natsume Fan Zhi had instructed Asuka Saito to join the movie and keep quiet, Meng Fan learned that someone was monitoring his plans.

Denji sheltered from the rain in a phone booth, where he met a girl who invited him to her café the next day. Meng Fan picked Denji up, and later told Aki Hayakawa he would handle the Gun Devil while explaining Denji's ranged chain attack.

• Denji spotted a shark fin moving along the flooded street before a girl entered the phone booth and laughed at how much he resembled her dead dog.
• Denji gave the girl a red flower he had coughed up, and she invited him to visit her café, Nido, for coffee the next day.
• After the rain stopped, Denji and the girl went their separate ways, and Meng Fan arrived in a black car to take Denji home.
• Denji told Meng Fan about the café invitation, and Meng Fan said Denji could go on the date instead of reporting to the Public Safety Bureau.

Meng Fan brought Denji to Nido Cafe, where Denji reunited with Reze and shared coffee and curry rice with her. After learning the cafe had few customers and Reze often went hungry, Meng Fan paid the owner eight hundred thousand yen to reserve it for a month.

Denji defeated the Cilantro Devil, and Meng Fan entered a dream to interrogate the noodle shop owner about the apples. The owner revealed that the apples were pieces of another devil and began to name a church before his body exploded, leaving Meng Fan with a seed found inside his heart.

• Denji discovered how to use his saw chains and cut the Cilantro Devil in half, while Meng Fan seized the devil's heart.
• Himeno told Aki Hayakawa that the Cilantro Devil had grown huge after eating apples, and Meng Fan demanded to know what the apples were.
• Meng Fan entered a dream with the noodle shop owner and learned that a devil had recruited him as an apostle and that the apples were pieces of that devil's flesh.
• The noodle shop owner explained that eating the apples caused insatiable hunger and empowered the Cilantro Devil, then began to identify a church before his body exploded.
• Meng Fan returned from the dream and learned that Aki Hayakawa had found a seed inside the owner's heart.

Meng Fan and the others searched Tokyo St. Mary's Cathedral for the devil connected to the apple case, but found no obvious sign of him. They left without realizing that a man inside had watched them the entire time.

• Meng Fan sent Himeno and Aki Hayakawa into a dreamlike sleep after they turned back to spy on him, then carried them toward the car with Denji.
• Denji insisted on carrying Himeno and enjoyed having her pressed against his back, while Meng Fan teased him about his desire for a girlfriend.
• Meng Fan drove to Tokyo St. Mary's Cathedral, and the sleeping Aki Hayakawa and Himeno accidentally kissed when the car stopped.

• Arai told Meng Fan, Himeno, and Aki Hayakawa that Makima was waiting to speak with them, while Denji stayed behind to impress her with his new Saw Chain skill.
• Makima explained that footage of Chainsaw Man had spread worldwide and that foreign Devil Hunters and bounty hunters were coming after Denji’s heart.
• Meng Fan suggested Denji’s heart could counter a certain devil, and Makima introduced the Angel Devil, whose touch drained lifespan and whose abilities could create weapons.
• Himeno learned that Meng Fan and Denji had visited a cafe to see Reze, then proposed that the group go to Nido Cafe to meet her.

The Fourth Division visited Reze's cafe, where Meng Fan helped prepare food and invited her to join their group. After a masked man disrupted the meal and left, the cafe was struck by a yellow Fiat 500 crashing through its glass.

• The Fourth Division arrived at Reze's cafe, and Himeno teased Denji about Reze being his girlfriend.
• Meng Fan caught a falling frying pan, prepared Chinese dishes, and shared food with Reze and the others.
• Meng Fan claimed he had contracted with the Bomb Devil, startling Reze, and invited her to join the Fourth Division.

The Tiger Devil attacked the café, and Arai revealed his Cow Devil form to fight him. Meng Fan intervened after the fight turned dangerous, survived being swallowed, and Kobeni mourned her wrecked car as he offered to replace it.

• Arai pushed Denji out of the way of Kobeni's car, and Meng Fan caught a second car thrown toward the café.
• Arai transformed into the Cow Devil and challenged the Tiger Devil while Aki Hayakawa stood ready to help.

After the Tiger Devil’s attack, Meng Fan and the others helped Reze repair and clean the coffee shop before returning home. Later, strange knocks at their door seemed to come from next door, but Meng Fan sensed that something was still wrong.

• Himeno questioned Meng Fan about the Leopard Devil, and he claimed he had collected its corpse and inherited its abilities.
• Arai helped Kobeni right her car while Denji and the others joined Reze in cleaning up the coffee shop.
• Meng Fan repaired the shattered window, then he and Denji returned home with a cake for Power.
• Power ate the cake and complained about being left alone and hungry while Denji wondered whether Reze had gone home.
• Someone knocked repeatedly late at night, but the hallway was empty when Denji and Meng Fan opened the door.
• A neighbor opened her door after a drunk man knocked next door, but Meng Fan remained certain the earlier knocking had sounded different.

Meng Fan, Denji, Aki Hayakawa, and Power settled in for the night, but an unseen intruder attacked inside Aki’s home. Aki found Denji badly injured in the bathroom and realized the enemy might be invisible.

• Meng Fan taught Power to cook steaks, then joined Denji and Aki Hayakawa in bed while they took photos together.
• After midnight, Power heard someone try her door and accused Denji of sneaking around for her steaks.
• Denji entered the bathroom to wash his face and was struck on the back of the head by an unseen attacker.
• Aki Hayakawa investigated the noise, found Denji lying bloodied on the bathroom floor, and was attacked by something metallic.
• Aki warned Power that an enemy was hiding in the house, and she hurried back into her room and locked the door.

Aki Hayakawa, Power, and Denji fought an invisible devil that had attacked their home, then brought its corpse back for Meng Fan. Meng Fan identified and absorbed the Peeping Devil, demonstrated a new ability, and told the trio to bring him any devil corpses they found.

• Aki Hayakawa used Future to block the Invisible Man's attacks while trying to wake Denji, and Power joined the fight but was struck on the head.
• The Invisible Man dragged Denji from the bathroom, but Denji woke, transformed into Chainsaw Man, and joined Aki Hayakawa and Power.
• After the Invisible Man attacked a neighbor, Denji pinned him with his chainsaws and Power cut him in half with her Blood Axe.
• Aki Hayakawa brought the devil's corpse home, and Meng Fan returned after hearing about the attack and identified it as the Peeping Devil.

Meng Fan exposed and killed three Skin Devil impostors who came to take Denji, then learned from Himeno that Kobeni had gone missing. He left the café with Denji to investigate, with Kobeni’s fate still unknown.

• Denji visited Reze’s café with Meng Fan, and Reze offered to teach him to read.
• Three apparent Public Safety hunters arrived and demanded that Denji come with them, but Meng Fan realized they were impostors and killed them.
• Meng Fan identified the impostors as the Immortal Three Brothers, American civilian hunters contracted with the Skin Devil, and disposed of their bodies with Reze and Denji’s help.
• Himeno called Meng Fan and reported that Kobeni had gone missing after calling her that morning.
• Meng Fan told Reze he was leaving to look for Kobeni, then took Denji and hurried out of the café.

Meng Fan and his companions searched for the missing Kobeni and found her unconscious in her crashed car on a mountain slope. After rescuing her, they were attacked by a driverless car, and the chapter ended with a truck bearing down on Meng Fan.

• Himeno and Arai told Meng Fan that Kobeni was missing and had not answered her phone, so he helped them search for her.
• Meng Fan guessed that Kobeni had gone to a repair shop, and the shop owner said she had left after learning the repair cost.
• The group followed the road toward Mount Takao and found Kobeni's car crashed below a broken guardrail.

• A runaway truck attacked Meng Fan and Arai, and Meng Fan suspected the Car Devil was controlling the vehicles.
• Meng Fan destroyed the truck with a sonic blast, then warned a family of three not to continue down the road.
• When the Car Devil took control of the family's car, Meng Fan dodged its charge, turned invisible, and stabbed its headlight.
• Meng Fan tore the Car Devil's heart from the engine and crushed it, then returned the car's hood to the family and sent them on their way.
• Denji carried the unconscious Kobeni back to the group, and Himeno and Arai helped each other despite their injuries.
• Meng Fan took the front passenger seat in a vehicle hauling pigs so the group could return to the city for treatment.

Meng Fan and the others returned to Public Safety headquarters in a taxi after riding in a pig truck, but the lingering stench led to trouble with the taxi driver and two Audi passengers. They reached headquarters and showered, while Kobeni woke up in the infirmary still covered in the smell.

• Himeno and the others took a taxi back to Public Safety, but the driver demanded they get out because their clothes smelled of pigs.
• Meng Fan kicked the driver out, and the taxi drove itself toward headquarters as the group rode on.
• Arai transformed into a minotaur to frighten two men in an Audi, and their car crashed into a shop while fleeing the driverless taxi.
• Meng Fan sent the taxi back to find its owner, and Himeno and the others hurried into headquarters to shower.
• Arai handed Kobeni to Aki Hayakawa, who took her to the infirmary, where she later woke up alone and still reeking.

Meng Fan took Makima and the others to a hot spring, where Makima later lured him into a secluded room and shot apart his limbs. She had doctors treat his wounds, leaving him crippled and claiming she had found a way to neutralize him.

• Himeno, Arai, and Power checked on Kobeni, and Arai told her that Makima would arrange to tow her car while Meng Fan would pay for repairs.
• Denji invited everyone to join Meng Fan for a bath, and the group traveled to the Fujimoto Tree Hot Spring while Arai stayed behind with Kobeni.
• At the hot spring, Aki Hayakawa reflected that Meng Fan had absorbed many Devil corpses and might now be stronger than Makima.
• Makima asked Meng Fan to follow her to a secluded room, where she shot apart his legs and arms without hitting vital points.
• Makima summoned four doctors to treat Meng Fan and said she had discovered that crippling him would leave him unable to threaten her.

Meng Fan trapped Makima in a dream and subjected her to harsher training, then took her to a dog-training ground where Denji’s attacks bypassed her ability to transfer pain. Makima learned that Denji’s power of pure love could affect her, leaving her shocked and unable to understand how to resist it.

• After Meng Fan exploded in front of Makima, she fell asleep and entered his prepared dream.
• Meng Fan restrained Makima, had suited men whip her, and branded the character for “dog” onto her face.
• Meng Fan led Makima through a park on a leash, where Himeno and Aki Hayakawa joined them on the way to a dog-training ground.
• Denji and Reze tried to train Makima with a shock collar, but Makima refused to obey and spat out dog food.
• Denji’s shock collar caused pain that Makima could not transfer, and Meng Fan explained that Denji’s power of pure love could deal with her.

Meng Fan used Denji’s power of pure love to break Makima’s composure, then rejoined the others and revealed more about his contracts and abilities. The group left the resort discussing ice cream, bills, and Meng Fan’s plan to write a novel.

• Meng Fan and Denji forced Makima to endure intense pain until she emerged from the guarded room, exhausted and pretending she had only been sleeping.
• Denji, Aki Hayakawa, and Himeno searched for Makima, found the guarded door, and questioned the two men after she left.
