Ch. 81Nameless's Gift

Nameless Hunter gave Muzan the juice of the Blue Spider Lily, which let Muzan survive in sunlight and believe he had conquered his curse. At the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters, Kagaya Ubuyashiki began coughing blood, and Amane sent Hikigusa to fetch Sapphire Star.

  • Muzan ordered Akaza to find Nameless Hunter and Nakime to speed up demon recruitment, but neither gave him a useful response.
  • Nameless Hunter appeared in Infinity Castle, drank Muzan's demon blood from a syringe to heal his wounds, and revealed that he had found the Blue Spider Lily.
  • Nameless Hunter gave Muzan the flower's juice, and Muzan drank it before testing himself in sunlight.
  • Muzan endured the sunlight and celebrated his apparent immunity, then exposed himself to the sun while declaring himself the Child of the Sun.
  • Kagaya Ubuyashiki began coughing blood at Corps Headquarters, and Amane sent Hikigusa to bring Sapphire Star from the Training Camp.

Ch. 82The arrow was already nocked

After learning that Muzan's evolution had worsened Kagaya Ubuyashiki's curse, the Sapphire Star prepared blood-soaked wooden chips to lure demons out of hiding. The Demon Slayer Corps launched its first proactive offensive in a century, with teams following their Kasugai Crows across the country.

  • Kagaya Ubuyashiki told the Sapphire Star that Muzan's progress toward eternity had made his curse much worse, and urged her to return to the Training Ground.
  • The Sapphire Star learned that demons had nearly vanished while reports of missing homeless people and faint demonic traces continued, then collected rare blood from Sanemi Shinazugawa and two other swordsmen.
  • The Sapphire Star mixed the rare blood into an Enhancer and soaked wooden chips in it until they carried a powerful scent that Hikigusa could detect from the doorway.
  • The Sapphire Star told the assembled Hashira and swordsmen about Kagaya's condition and Muzan's likely evolution, then announced an operation to lure demons out with the blood-scented chips.
  • The swordsmen unanimously agreed to join, formed teams of four, and sent their Kasugai Crows flying across the country with the chips attached.
  • The Palico asked when it would set out, and the Sapphire Star told it she would count on it again.

Ch. 83Battling Akaza

Akaza was lured into a trap and fought Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko, who wounded him with their Crimson Blades but were nearly killed in the process. Kyojuro Rengoku arrived to protect them and faced Akaza, who welcomed the chance to fight him.

  • Akaza followed the scent of rare blood to a Kasugai Crow carrying a blood-soaked decoy, where Tanjiro and Inosuke ambushed him.
  • Zenitsu wounded Akaza with his Crimson Blade, but Akaza retaliated with Destructive Death, gravely injuring Zenitsu and Tanjiro.
  • Tanjiro and Inosuke continued attacking Akaza, and Zenitsu struck him again while Nezuko kicked and fought him.
  • Akaza overpowered the exhausted group and prepared to stab Zenitsu, but Kyojuro Rengoku arrived with Flame Breathing: Ninth Form-Purgatory and rescued Zenitsu and Inosuke.
  • Kyojuro challenged Akaza and swore to burn him to ashes, while Akaza eagerly took his stance to fight him.

Ch. 84Facing Doma

The Sapphire Star and her Palico tracked a wounded Kasugai Crow and encountered Doma, Upper Rank Two, whose mind was clouded by the scent of rare blood. After the Palico distracted him, the Sapphire Star defeated and captured Doma, intending to take him to Shinobu Kocho.

  • The Sapphire Star killed a demon and collected the syringe it left behind before continuing to follow the Kasugai Crow into the mountains.
  • The Sapphire Star and the Palico split up to search for the missing crow, and the Palico found it wounded and covered in frost.
  • Doma lunged at the Palico, but the cat blocked him with its shield, struck him with a club, and fired a flare to summon the Sapphire Star.
  • The Sapphire Star shattered Doma’s ice bodhisattvas, severed his arms, and drove a nergigante spike through his heart to seal his demonic powers and regeneration.
  • The Sapphire Star bound the helpless Doma and set off for the Butterfly Mansion so Shinobu Kocho could confront the demon responsible for her sister’s death.

Ch. 85A demon was watching

Nameless Hunter told Muzan Kibutsuji and Kokushibo that their original fates ended in defeat, then argued that they could escape fate by transcending the limits of demons and humans. He proposed using Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s body to create a new being ruled by Muzan, leaving Muzan and Kokushibo to weigh the cost of ceasing to exist.

  • Nameless Hunter used a foul-smelling sphere to scatter the Scoutflies, then told Kokushibo that Doma’s capture and Akaza’s coming death followed their original fates.
  • Nameless Hunter described how Muzan, Kokushibo, and Akaza had originally been defeated, and Muzan emerged from the Infinity Castle to question him about their future.
  • Nameless Hunter argued that the Sapphire Star had changed the Demon Slayer Corps’ fates, while the demons needed another way to escape their destined deaths.
  • Nameless Hunter proposed that they transcend demonhood by using Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s body to create a new being, with Muzan as its ruler and Kokushibo and Nameless ceasing to exist.
  • Muzan questioned whether the plan meant sacrificing his freedom, while Kokushibo considered whether the transformation could fulfill his quest to surpass Yoriichi.

Ch. 86Infiltrating the Butterfly Mansion

Nameless Hunter and Kokushibo remotely infiltrated the Butterfly Mansion with a tiny demon to obtain Shinobu Kocho’s poison and Tamayo’s Reversal Drug. The creature reached the laboratory, where Tamayo and Yushiro remained, leaving its mission unresolved.

  • Nameless Hunter created a small demon from his blood and Kokushibo’s, allowing Kokushibo to share its vision while Nameless Hunter controlled it remotely.
  • Muzan returned to the Infinity Castle, leaving Nameless Hunter and Kokushibo to direct the creature toward the Butterfly Mansion.
  • The little demon evaded detection and entered the mansion, following the scent of medicine to the laboratory.
  • The little demon slipped beneath the laboratory door while Shinobu Kocho was distracted by broken glass, then hid beneath a table.
  • Tamayo and Yushiro stayed in the laboratory after Shinobu left, and Tamayo began working as the little demon searched for the needed bottle.

Ch. 87Make a Run for It

The Little Demon stole Tamayo’s experimental drug, a poison sample, and Lower Rank Five tissue while Tamayo and Yushiro were away from the laboratory. After Sapphire Star brought Doma and a cache of Muzan’s blood to the laboratory, she revealed that the Master’s condition had worsened and set out to hunt demons again.

  • Tamayo tested a new sample, then injected herself with an experimental drug; she began coughing blood and left with Yushiro for the infirmary.
  • The Little Demon stole the pale purple liquid, the remaining syringe sample, and a Lower Rank Five tissue sample before escaping the laboratory.
  • Sapphire Star let Shinobu Kocho confront the captured Doma, and Shinobu prepared to use him in experiments while thanking Sapphire Star for capturing him.
  • Sapphire Star gave Shinobu a syringe of blood collected from demons; Tamayo and Shinobu recognized it as Muzan’s blood and began preparing to study it.
  • Sapphire Star told Shinobu and Tamayo that the Master was gravely ill and might be affected by Muzan overcoming sunlight, then left to hunt demons with the complaining Palico and exhausted Kasugai Crow.

Ch. 88Getting Ganged Up On

Nameless and Kokushibo faced Genya Shinazugawa, whose armor and heavy bowgun turned the fight against them, before four Hashira joined the battle and the Demon Slayer Corps surrounded the mountain. With Kokushibo urging a fight to the death, Nameless searched for a chance to escape.

  • Nameless controlled the little demon to flee while Kokushibo noticed Genya Shinazugawa's distant gunfire and moved to confront him.
  • Genya's Immovable Iron Armor survived Kokushibo's strike, and Genya blasted Kokushibo with a heavy bowgun, leaving him grievously injured.
  • Genya aimed at Nameless, who dodged a shot and charged him, but Sanemi, Gyomei, Obanai, and Muichiro ambushed Nameless and cut him into pieces.
  • Kokushibo transformed and attacked the Hashira, while Sanemi's rare blood distracted him long enough for Nameless to reunite his clones and flee.
  • The Kasugai Crows alerted the Corps, and a mass of Demon Slayer swordsmen surrounded the mountaintop as Kokushibo called for a fight to the death and Nameless looked for an escape.

Ch. 89I'll attack in my Demon King form

Muzan feared Nameless and Kokushibo might die, then resolved to leave the Infinity Castle and take the offensive himself. He emerged onto the battlefield to find Kokushibo defeated and the Demon Slayer Corps ready to attack, and challenged Muichiro Tokito to a duel.

  • Muzan collected the remains Nameless had left behind and questioned Nakime about Kokushibo and Nameless surviving.
  • Muzan decided he would no longer hide and ordered Nakime to open a Portal so he could retrieve Nameless.
  • Muzan stepped onto the mountaintop and found Kokushibo reduced to a pile of flesh while the Hashira and Corps swordsmen surrounded him with Crimson Blades.
  • Muzan tried to retreat, then claimed he was Nameless's long-lost twin and negotiated for a one-on-one duel.
  • Muzan chose Muichiro Tokito as his opponent, and Muichiro asked whether Muzan had picked him because he was young and easy to bully.

Ch. 90Fear of Insufficient Firepower

Sanemi and the Demon Slayer Corps bombarded Muzan with Heavy Bowgun artillery until Nameless Hunter’s foul-smelling attack gave Muzan a chance to flee over the cliff. Nameless Hunter then burned himself to ashes, leaving Sanemi and Obanai unsure whether he had died or escaped inside a discarded shell.

  • Sanemi stopped Muichiro’s proposed duel and ordered the Corps to attack Muzan, then revealed the artillery unit and had it fire repeated volleys of Heavy Bowgun shells.
  • The bombardment tore Muzan apart while Gyomei, Obanai, and Sanemi watched; meanwhile, Nameless Hunter’s remains split, with one part escaping toward the mountainside.
  • Nameless Hunter re-formed and threw a ball of foul-smelling matter at the swordsmen, overwhelming them with its stench and briefly disrupting the artillery.
  • Muzan rolled off the cliff while the Corps struggled with the odor, and Sanemi ordered his forces to hunt for him as they pursued Nameless Hunter.
  • Nameless Hunter wrenched off his head and crumbled into ashes before Sanemi and Obanai could attack, leaving them to wonder whether he had escaped his shell.

Ch. 91Nameless's Final Plan

Nameless revealed that he had taken the Reversal Drug and Aging Poison to build resistance against them, then explained why Kokushibo’s destined death had to remain unchanged. After Nameless killed Nakime and asked Muzan to devour him, he left the Demon King facing the final step toward becoming an ultimate lifeform.

  • Nameless and Muzan escaped to Infinity Castle, where Nameless celebrated the medicines and Rui’s tissue he had recovered.
  • Nameless drank the Reversal Drug and Aging Poison with Rui’s tissue, then persuaded Muzan to drink the same medicines so they could develop resistance to the toxins.
  • Nameless explained that Kokushibo had to die according to fate to avoid provoking a greater backlash, and said that only Nakime remained for his final plan.
  • Nameless seized Nakime and drained her life to take control of Infinity Castle, while Muzan allowed him to proceed.
  • Nameless knelt before Muzan and urged him to devour him so Muzan could transcend demonhood and become an ultimate lifeform.

Ch. 92The Giant Monster

After Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Kyojuro Rengoku defeated Akaza, a colossal monster emerged from a spatial rift and seized control of Akaza’s corpse. The monster overwhelmed the exhausted fighters, leaving Rengoku unconscious and Tanjiro in mortal danger as Kasugai Crows called for urgent reinforcements.

  • Kyojuro Rengoku praised Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke after they defeated Akaza and began leading them home.
  • A grotesque colossal monster tore open the sky, used threads to reanimate Akaza’s corpse, and sent it attacking Rengoku and the others.
  • Rengoku held back Akaza’s giant fist until the monster struck him unconscious, while Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke fought back.
  • Akaza’s remaining will briefly resisted the monster’s control, allowing Tanjiro and the others to launch a counterattack, but the monster blocked Nezuko’s flames and knocked Zenitsu and Inosuke aside.
  • The Akaza puppet attacked Tanjiro as the wounded fighters struggled to protect him, and Kasugai Crows spread an urgent call for Hashira-level reinforcements.

Ch. 93The Demon King of Ruin City

Mitsuri Kanroji rescued Tanjiro and helped the wounded fighters sever the threads controlling Akaza’s corpse, but the Puppet retaliated against the arriving Demon Slayer Corps. As the Hashira struggled to stop it, the Sapphire Star arrived and charged the monster.

  • Mitsuri Kanroji gave Potion to Tanjiro, Kyojuro Rengoku, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, then joined them in cutting the Profane Threads and freeing Akaza’s soul.
  • The Puppet attacked the five with a storm of threads until Gyomei Himejima, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Obanai Iguro, and Genya arrived with artillery support.
  • The Puppet regenerated its armor and slashed the hillside, scattering the gunners and swordsmen as Sanemi, Obanai, and Gyomei moved in to fight it at close range.
  • Muichiro Tokito tried to attack from behind, but his blade became stuck in the monster’s carapace and he had to retreat.
  • Sanemi, Obanai, and Gyomei damaged the monster’s armor, but it launched blade light toward the fallen swordsmen and blocked their attempts to stop it.
  • The Sapphire Star shattered the Puppet’s blade-light attacks with her Long Sword, then leaped into the battlefield and charged the monster.

Ch. 94Prediction after prediction after prediction-I'm proud to read your inputs

Sapphire Star and the Hashira fought Muzan after he fused with Nameless and learned to predict her Long Sword attacks. Muzan used spatial portals to scatter the Demon Slayer Corps through the Infinity Castle, then declared that their end had come.

  • Gyomei, Sanemi, and Obanai attacked the monster, but it quickly regenerated and adapted to their blows.
  • Sapphire Star recognized Muzan's familiar dodges and taunts, while the Palico healed the wounded swordsmen with Great Recovering Vigorwasps.
  • The artillery resumed firing as Sapphire Star fought Muzan through the bombardment, but his predictions let him evade her attacks and stall her.
  • After the bombardment stopped, the Hashira, Tanjiro, his companions, and the swordsmen charged Muzan, who opened hundreds of Portals beneath them.
  • Sapphire Star fell through a Portal after trying to strike Muzan with her Clutch Claw, and Muzan escaped through another gate as the Corps was scattered across the Infinity Castle.
  • Muzan descended into the Infinity Castle and announced that the Demon Slayer Corps would end there.

Ch. 95Falling into the Infinity Castle

The Sapphire Star organized the scattered Demon Slayer Corps in the ruined Infinity Castle, where Muzan was draining the oxygen from the air. She left the others to recover and search for the missing, then confronted Muzan and charged him despite being unable to breathe.

  • The Sapphire Star ordered the Kasugai Crows to form a communications network and guide scattered swordsmen to her, then helped gather and treat survivors including Kyojuro Rengoku, Gyomei Himejima, Mitsuri Kanroji, and Obanai Iguro.
  • The Sapphire Star realized that oxygen was disappearing and carbon dioxide was rising, weakening the swordsmen and threatening to suffocate them.
  • The Sapphire Star distributed her medicines, told Gyomei Himejima and Kyojuro Rengoku to care for the group, and set off alone toward Muzan.
  • Muzan appeared and sucked the remaining oxygen from the area, but the Sapphire Star survived long enough to sever one of his scythe forelimbs with a single slash.
  • The Sapphire Star declared that hunting monsters was her specialty and charged Muzan as he regenerated and attacked her with hundreds of threads.

Ch. 96Heroics, Kid

The Sapphire Star fought Muzan in the oxygen-starved Infinity Castle, using her changing Long Sword techniques to sever his limbs and interrupt his control of the air. Muzan retreated beyond her reach and began draining oxygen again, but he soon fell asleep and dropped into the abyss.

  • The Sapphire Star used Heroics to decapitate Muzan and deflect his attacks, but Muzan regenerated and said he knew her moves from Nameless Hunter's memories.
  • The Sapphire Star varied her attacks to outpace Muzan, severing his limbs and disrupting his extraction of oxygen from the Infinity Castle.
  • The Sapphire Star cut Muzan nearly in half, but he used the castle's platforms and his threads to escape beyond her reach.
  • Muzan regenerated, withdrew the nearby platforms, and began sucking oxygen from the area again while taunting the Sapphire Star.
  • Muzan grew drowsy while draining oxygen, lost consciousness, and fell into the abyss as the Sapphire Star watched.

Ch. 97Under the Sun

The Sapphire Star wounded Muzan and was pulled from the Infinity Castle with the Demon Slayer Corps when he opened portals. After Muzan escaped in a vulnerable form, she pursued him, while the Corps fell from the sky and struggled to survive their landing.

  • The Sapphire Star's Palico crossed to her platform using her Clutch Claw and explained that it had poured Sleep Bottles into Muzan's breathing, helping weaken him.
  • The Sapphire Star leapt into the abyss, drove her Long Sword into Muzan's abdomen, and seized his true body inside the monster's shell.
  • Muzan opened portals throughout the Infinity Castle, throwing the Sapphire Star and the Demon Slayer Corps into the outside world.
  • The impact of landing crushed Muzan's neck, but he escaped his ruined body as a nearly naked teenage boy and fled into the sunlight.
  • The Sapphire Star pursued Muzan and mocked him as he ran, then looked up as the Corps members began falling from the sky.
  • Giyu Tomioka, Kyojuro Rengoku, Gyomei Himejima, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Mitsuri Kanroji, and Obanai Iguro tried to protect the falling Corps members, many of whom still hit the ground and were injured.

Ch. 98Heavenly Lord, Save Me!

After Muzan’s escape portal dropped the Demon Slayer Corps from a great height, the Sapphire Star and the Hashira struggled to save the many gravely injured with dwindling medicine. A flare brought two monster hunters by Felyne cart, and the Sapphire Star ordered them to hand over all their healing supplies.

  • The Sapphire Star and Gyomei confirmed that everyone had survived the fall, though roughly two-thirds were gravely injured and most medicine had been left behind.
  • The Sapphire Star, the Hashira, and the Palico shared their remaining medicine and treated the wounded, including Zenitsu, whose skull had been shattered.
  • The Sapphire Star fired a hunter’s flare, and the Palico launched a smaller signal of its own to call for help.
  • Four Felyne Cart drivers arrived at high speed with a man and a woman, then collected gold from the Sapphire Star’s Palico before departing.
  • The Sapphire Star kicked the two dazed monster hunters awake and demanded all their Potions, Max Potions, Potion Lifepowder, and Sashimi Fish Scales.

Ch. 99Blazing Pride

The Sapphire Star reunited with Blaze and Lone Bird, used their Lifepowder to heal the wounded Demon Slayer Corps, and recruited them to pursue Muzan Kibutsuji. The Corps charged after Muzan with the three hunters leading the way, and Blaze shouted “Blazing Pride” as they set off.

  • The Sapphire Star scolded Blaze and Lone Bird for abandoning their plan to travel to the New World together, then rummaged through their pouches for medicine.
  • The Sapphire Star scattered Blaze and Lone Bird’s Lifepowder over the wounded, healing the Corps members, including Zenitsu.
  • Blaze and Lone Bird explained that they had been carted away after their movements suddenly stalled, and the Sapphire Star enlisted them to hunt Muzan Kibutsuji.
  • The Sapphire Star rallied the recovered Corps to pursue Muzan, warning that he had overcome sunlight and might grow stronger if he escaped.
  • Blaze and Lone Bird followed the Sapphire Star at the head of the formation, and Blaze shouted “Blazing Pride” at her friends’ urging.

Ch. 100Taisho swordsmen across the ages

Muzan fled the pursuing Demon Slayer Corps, but former Hashira and the Sapphire Star’s companions cornered him. He transformed into a giant that absorbed sunlight as the Corps assembled, prepared for a united battle, and Shinobu Kocho gave Tanjiro medicine intended for Nezuko.

  • Muzan escaped the former Hashira’s ambush, but found the Demon Slayer Corps’ main force blocking his path and realized he could replenish his energy by absorbing sunlight.
  • The Sapphire Star, Blaze, and Lone Bird attacked Muzan, but he evaded their strikes, unleashed a deafening roar, and transformed into a giant wooden monster.
  • The Demon Slayer Corps’ Hashira and reinforcements arrived, reuniting Kyojuro Rengoku with Shinjuro Rengoku, Tanjiro with Sakonji Urokodaki, and Zenitsu with Jigoro Kuwajima.
  • Shinobu Kocho gave Tanjiro medicine intended to turn Nezuko human, and Tanjiro entrusted Nezuko’s box to young swordsmen who escorted her to safety.
  • With the Corps assembled and Muzan battling the three hunters, Shinjuro Rengoku rallied the swordsmen across generations and pointed his blade at Muzan.
