Su Er pursued his Animagus transformation and learned the Patronus Charm while the attacks at Hogwarts continued. After he found Tom Riddle’s diary and brought it to Dumbledore, the professors took him into the Chamber of Secrets to confront what lay inside.

• Su Er helped Hermione prepare Polyjuice Potion, arranged for Hagrid to obtain ingredients, and placed a Mandrake leaf under his tongue as part of his Animagus preparations.
• During a full moon, Su Er brewed and buried his Animagus potion in the Forbidden Forest, then returned to Hogwarts as attacks petrified Justin and Nearly Headless Nick.
• Su Er spent Christmas at home, returned to Hogwarts, and began advanced lessons with Professor Flitwick, who introduced him to the Patronus Charm.
• Moaning Myrtle told Su Er that she had seen a red-haired witch with chicken feathers and gave him the soaked notebook she had found in her bathroom.
• Su Er identified the notebook as Tom Riddle’s diary, concealed it in the Room of Requirement, and later led Dumbledore to it.
• Dumbledore recognized Riddle in the diary, bound his soul back into it, and asked Su Er to report anything else he discovered.
• Su Er continued practicing the Patronus Charm as his Animagus potion progressed, while Hermione recovered from her cat transformation.
• Dumbledore took Su Er and Professors Snape, McGonagall, and Flitwick into the Chamber of Secrets, where they found a basilisk’s shed skin and approached the statue of Salazar Slytherin.

Su Er completed his Animagus transformation, survived an attack in the Forbidden Forest, and became entangled in Dumbledore’s plans as the Chamber mystery returned. After Hermione discovered his secret, she forgave him and asked him to teach her to become an Animagus.

• Snape harvested the basilisk’s eyes, fang, and other ingredients while Dumbledore and the professors restrained it.
• Su Er retrieved his Animagus potion from the Forbidden Forest, transformed into a black-and-white badger, and was attacked by Acromantulas on his way out.
• Fang fetched help, and Su Er survived after phoenix flames destroyed the spiders, and he later recovered in the Hospital Wing and faced Hermione’s anger for entering the forest.
• Su Er told Dumbledore about the crown, locket, and cup, and Dumbledore warned him that Voldemort would return and urged him to study Occlumency.
• Harry and Hermione investigated Tom Riddle’s diary as rumors spread that Harry was the Heir of Slytherin, while Su Er suspected Dumbledore was steering events.
• During the Hufflepuff-Gryffindor Quidditch match, the game was canceled after Hermione found Su Er motionless near the Library, and Dumbledore told him to avoid appearing in the Castle.
• Hermione deduced that Su Er was the badger, confronted him in the Room of Requirement, and forgave him before asking him to teach her Animagus transformation.

Su Er helped expose Tom Riddle and defeat the Basilisk, then trained with Snape and spent the summer preparing for what lay ahead. He gave Harry a birthday visit and a place to stay, but Harry returned to the Dursleys while Su Er kept Hedwig and Harry’s belongings.

• Su Er explored the Room of Requirement, saved Hermione from a stone guardian, and began intense Occlumency lessons with Snape.
• Su Er followed Harry and Ron into the Forbidden Forest, helped them escape Aragog’s spiders, and set off an explosion that scorched part of the forest.
• Dumbledore brought Su Er to the Chamber of Secrets, where Tom Riddle revealed he had controlled the Basilisk and altered Su Er’s memory, and Harry destroyed Riddle’s diary and rescued Ginny.
• Su Er returned to ordinary school life, received an unnoticed medal, learned spells from Snape, and decided to become strong enough to face the future he had foreseen.
• Su Er visited Snape at Spinner’s End, trained in combat and Occlumency, and learned from Amelia Bones that the scarred man who had directed him there should not have been in Cokeworth.
• Su Er collected Harry from Privet Drive for his birthday, took him and Angel to an amusement park, and invited Harry to stay at the Ellison home for a few days.
• Su Er watched for Sirius Black in his black dog form, then saw Vernon take Harry back to the Dursleys and kept Hedwig and Harry’s belongings after Harry left them in his care.
• Su Er advised Hagrid on gentle teaching creatures, chose not to wake the sleeping Hermione, and considered using Rita Skeeter’s Animagus secret to obtain her better quill.

Su Er returned to Hogwarts, repelled a Dementor with a newborn Patronus, and received a special award. As Hagrid’s Hippogriff lesson put Buckbeak in danger, Su Er tried to protect Hagrid and began working with Hermione on an Animagus potion, while Sirius Black’s approach threatened Harry.

• Su Er reunited with Harry and the Weasleys, then traveled with Hermione to the station and met the Dementors aboard the Hogwarts Express.
• Su Er’s Patronus drove off the Dementors, and Dumbledore awarded him a Special Award for Services to the School and one hundred points for Hufflepuff.
• Su Er learned Hagrid planned to teach Hippogriffs and urged him to take precautions before helping students approach and ride the creatures.
• After Malfoy provoked Buckbeak and was injured, Su Er and Hermione recorded Hagrid’s lesson, but the Remembrall did not capture the provocation.
• Su Er saw a dark shape near the Whomping Willow as Harry and his friends speculated about Sirius Black, while Lupin taught the students to repel Boggarts with Riddikulus.
• Dumbledore asked Lupin to help protect Harry, and Hagrid returned from the Ministry with a warning that left Buckbeak’s fate uncertain.
• Su Er and Hermione began preparing an Animagus potion, with Su Er taking rare ingredients from Snape’s supplies as Snape targeted Neville and deducted points from Gryffindor.
