Hela revived her Death Legion and set out to conquer the Nine Realms, but Heimdall stole the Bifrost sword and began rescuing Asgardians. On Sakaar, John encouraged Thor’s fights and planned a Super Dimensional Portal while warning Loki of a greater danger.
John bought Sakaar from the Grandmaster by promising to turn its Combat Arena into the finest in the universe, then activated the planet’s wormholes to begin renovations. Loki learned the Grandmaster had sold Sakaar and, as the planet began to shake apart, John faced the possibility that his plan would destroy it.
John stabilized Sakaar by containing its spacetime energy, then accelerated time on the planet and experienced Time Flash. Meanwhile, Thor won his hundredth Combat Arena battle and earned his freedom, leaving Sakaar to face the war threatening Asgard.
John’s uncontrolled Time Flash carried him to the Land of Eternity, an Upside-Down City resembling a future Wizard City, where he met Johanna and learned that the city was governed by different versions of himself. Meanwhile, a Council of John Wicks discussed his arrival and the Dimensional Portal, leaving John with questions about the many versions of himself and his fate.
John learned that the Upside-Down City was a realm created by his Time Flash, ruled by alternate versions of himself who wanted to enter reality. After escaping Dawnlight and the council, John brought Johanna to the Alchemy Department, hoping to find a way to end Time Flash as his prophetic ability stirred.
John entered the Alchemy Department in Upside-Down City and used its energy source to transfer a vast prophecy through Johanna, strengthening her prophetic abilities. After escaping the approaching Dusk and a time-stopping phenomenon called the cat, they reached Eternal Night City, where John began searching for the Potions Department and a way to counter Time Flash.
John explored Eternal Night City with Johanna and met Johnny Silver Hand and Catfoot while searching for the doorless Potions Department building. Meanwhile, Dusk discovered that someone had tampered with the city’s core, and the chapter ended with him leaving after a tense encounter with Silver Mask.
Dawnlight was taken to the Time Variance Authority for judgment, while John opened the hidden Potions Department beneath Upside-Down City and directed Johnny Silver Hand to its underground contents. At the Magic Tower, Silver Mask began the Council of Johns’ migration without Dusk, who had chosen to act as a guardian.
The John Council entered the Time Variance Authority to challenge another council, while John reached the source of Time Flash and faced Dusk, the Lionheart Emperor. After their duel, Dusk left to lead the Upside-Down City’s people as John took the gem and Time Flash’s distortion peaked.
John returned from the Upside-Down City to Sakaar, where Thor had won a hundred battles, and helped him prepare to return to Asgard. As Thor arrived to rescue Heimdall’s people and confront Hela, the siblings finally faced each other in the Golden Palace.
Thor challenged Hela for the throne of Asgard, but Hela’s divine power and Asgard’s favor left him in danger. A restless Twilight Sword alerted John to Ragnarok, prompting him to wonder whether the cataclysm could be prevented if one of its central figures disappeared.
Thor, Loki, and their allies tried to evacuate Asgard while fighting Hela, then set Ragnarok in motion by restoring Surtur with the Eternal Flame. Surtur rose to destroy Asgard as Hela watched in disbelief.
Thor, Hela, and the Asgardians fought Surtur as he brought Ragnarok to Asgard, while the missing Twilight Sword left him without his intended weapon. As Hela fell into space, John appeared and declared that fate should bow to him.
John challenged fate by unleashing the Casket of Ancient Winters against Surtur, defeating him with the White Wolf’s apocalyptic power. He then transformed into a golden dragon with the Twilight Sword and prepared to fight the White Wolf, while Asgard lent its strength to his defiance.
John defeated White Wolf and helped Asgard recover, while Hela chose to rebuild the realm as its queen. Asgard began nurturing a new life from John’s blood and scales, and the chapter ended with a sleeping figure in the Wizarding Kingdom twitching a finger.
John traveled to Nidavellir and asked King Eitri to forge a new sword from the broken Twilight Sword, intending to use it as a power source for his spaceship. Eitri accepted the request in exchange for Muspelheim ore and welcomed John into the dwarves’ workshop.
John visited Knowhere after leaving Nidavellir, where Eitri had reforged the Twilight Sword as Dusk and John had memorized the Dwarves’ crafting techniques. At the Collector’s museum, John offered Hvergelmir’s Spring Water and an alchemical music box in exchange for the Magic Compendium, but the deal remained unresolved.
John used a demon as an offering to find Hell’s coordinates, then arrived there with Paluru and attacked the realm with the Dusk Sword. Hell’s ruler banished John to the mortal world, where he emerged in a forest without Paluru and encountered a large dog and a group of children.
John encountered Adam, a child whose wishes could shape fate, in a parallel-universe United Kingdom and began arranging a place to stay with Adam and his friends. Meanwhile, a white angel and a black demon sensed that Adam’s meeting with the Hellhound had changed the world’s fate.
John explored the unfamiliar world and met Crowley and Aziraphale at an antiquarian bookshop, where he bought a book about the Garden of Eden. He concluded that he was in a parallel universe divided into Hell, the human world, and Heaven, while Crowley had been tasked with finding a wizard.
Crowley warned Aziraphale that John was dangerous, while John identified the setting as Heaven’s young-created universe and spent time with Adam and the other children. In the woods, a woman following a family Book of Prophecy spotted John while searching for signs of the approaching apocalypse.
John Wick met Anathema Device while she searched for Satan’s son, then discovered Agnes Nutter’s prophecy book could address him across time. After Aziraphale and Crowley brought Anathema home, John appeared in their Bentley and read a prophecy that named him the Wizard King.
John made a bargain with Aziraphale and Crowley to find the child behind the Doomsday War in exchange for direct passage to Heaven and help rescuing Paluru from Hell. He returned to Anathema with her prophecy book and offered to discuss finding the Son of Satan.
Anathema met John and sought his help stopping the Doomsday War, but she had no plan for dealing with the Son of Satan. The next day, she befriended Adam without realizing he was the boy she sought, and his awakening powers brought Atlantis to the surface.
John recognized that chaos particles were gathering around Adam, whose fate as Satan’s son was awakening, and took him away to teach him how to use his reality-altering power. Adam sent a signal that began the final battle, but John’s manipulation left him horrified by what he had done to his friends.
