Foggy reflected on Matt and Elektra’s budding relationship while struggling to secure work for their law firm, and Miaomiao offered to help with money. The chapter ended when Miaomiao heard a commotion near Matt and called for her dad.
At Nicholas Natchios’s ball, Fisk’s threat prompts Natchios to take Elektra away, but Bullseye ambushes their car while Daredevil and Miaomiao try to intervene. The car explodes as Bullseye’s stolen baton flies toward Natchios, leaving Daredevil unable to tell where it is.
After Bullseye’s attack made the world believe Nicholas Natchios had been murdered, Elektra learned that Miaomiao and Batman had helped fake his death to protect him. The group waited for Natchios to wake and reveal what he knew about Kingpin as Matt joined them.
Elektra and Matt shared the painful memories that had shaped them, including Elektra’s mother’s murder and Matt’s childhood blindness. Matt explained how his father and heightened senses helped him overcome fear, leaving the two comforting each other over their pasts.
Matt told Elektra about finding a rose beside his murdered father, and Miaomiao connected its scent to the night Nicholas Natchios was attacked. At Nicholas’s funeral, Miaomiao spotted Wilson Fisk placing a matching red rose on the grave, leaving them to wonder whether Kingpin was behind both killings.
Natchios woke in the hospital and accepted Matt as someone who could protect Elektra after learning he was Daredevil. He revealed that Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, ordered the attempt on his life because Natchios had once helped him launder money and then tried to leave.
Natchios feared Kingpin would target Elektra after Matt revealed that Kingpin killed an informant and threatened the families of those who crossed him. Miaomiao rejected fleeing and proposed confronting Kingpin, leaving Matt reluctant to call on her powerful father and uncle.
Matt warned Miaomiao not to involve her family in the fight against Kingpin, and she agreed while seeking Natasha’s intelligence on Bullseye. Natasha explained that Bullseye was a deadly assassin who would pursue anyone who dodged one of his attacks, leaving Matt in grave danger.
Bullseye manipulated Elektra into attacking Daredevil, and she discovered that the masked hero was Matt only after stabbing him. Elektra then confronted Bullseye while Matt lay badly wounded and unable to help.
Elektra was overwhelmed by Bullseye until Miaomiao and Daredevil revealed that her apparent defeat and Daredevil’s injury had been staged to trap him. With Bullseye surrounded, Miaomiao demanded that he cooperate as a witness or face her claws.
Miaomiao and Elektra helped Daredevil defeat Bullseye and learned that Fisk had hired him to kill Natchios and Elektra. After Elektra threw Bullseye from the rooftop, Fisk prepared to face Daredevil alone at his headquarters.
Daredevil and Miaomiao entered Fisk's empty tower, where Fisk awaited Daredevil for a one-on-one fight. Daredevil refused Miaomiao's help, and the battle began with Fisk proving far stronger.
Daredevil fought Fisk through the office, where Fisk overpowered him and revealed that he had killed Matt Murdock’s father and girlfriend as part of his business. Matt used the building’s water pipes to gain an advantage, then struck at Fisk’s knee joints.
Matt defeated Fisk but spared his life, only for Fisk to take Miaomiao hostage and demand that Matt break his own hand. Miaomiao freed herself and slammed Fisk onto the floor, leaving him incapacitated.
Matt faced Fisk’s threat to expose his identity without fear as police arrived to arrest Fisk as Kingpin. After leaving with Miaomiao, Matt listened as Fisk was taken away and honored his father with a red rose.
Ben Urich discovered that Matt Murdock was Daredevil but chose to delete his exposé and keep Matt’s identity secret. Meanwhile, Foggy and Karen were stunned to find Miaomiao sitting with Bruce Wayne, who looked almost exactly like Matt.
Bruce Wayne visited Nelson & Murdock Law Firm to thank the staff for caring for Miaomiao and offered to fund the firm. The chapter left Matt and Foggy considering Bruce’s no-strings investment to support their legal aid work.
Matt accepted Bruce Wayne’s funding for his law firm, trusting Batman’s commitment to justice. When Miaomiao offered to restore Matt’s sight, he learned that seeing again might cost him the enhanced senses he relied on as Daredevil, and he chose to remain blind.
Miaomiao comforted Matt and helped him accept medical support, then returned to Avengers Tower with Bruce, where Tony welcomed her and argued with Bruce over their public reputations. The chapter ended with Tony losing their popularity debate and demanding to know whose side the others were on.
Tony and Bruce teased Miaomiao into comparing their looks, but she praised each for different qualities and declared them evenly matched. Their banter stopped when a nervous young delivery boy arrived with Tony’s takeout, revealing his admiration for Tony.
Tony Stark offered Peter Parker an autograph and revealed that he had been keeping an eye on him. He showed the Avengers footage of Peter acting as a masked hero, identifying him as Spider-Man.
Tony confronted Peter with footage of him acting as Spider-Man, and Peter admitted his secret identity to the Avengers. As Peter explained that the heroes inspired him to help people, he noticed Bruce Wayne and Miaomiao among them.
Peter explained that his heightened senses overwhelmed him, and Miaomiao suggested finding him a teacher. Tony offered to help Peter control his abilities by upgrading his gear, then recognized that Peter already had the sense of responsibility at the heart of a hero.
Peter explained that he wanted to use his powers to help ordinary people as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Tony revealed that he had secretly monitored Peter and protected his identity, and he had come to respect the boy’s kindness and resolve.
Tony offered Peter a well-paid internship at Stark Industries so he could focus on learning and building instead of delivering food, but Peter hesitated because he wanted to support himself. Tony explained why he had chosen Peter personally and reassured him that he had the talent to succeed, leaving Peter to consider the offer.
