Danyla and Rafa flew into the unnatural mist over the Three Sisters and discovered thousands of human-shaped sea monsters, which Danyla and the dragons burned to ash. A gigantic mermaid rose from a sea altar and addressed Danyla as a mortal who had finally come.
Danyla and her Great Dragons battled the Lady of the Waves and her monsters, ultimately destroying the false goddess and planting a weirwood seed where she had fallen. As the fog lifted around the islands, Danyla ordered the remaining humanoid monsters burned, but a clear cry sounded from the direction of the Vale.
Danyla encountered Ares, the Lord of the Skies, who revealed the danger of a Source Stone and offered an alliance against evil gods. They sealed a Divine Contract, and Danyla learned that faith sustained the weakened old gods.
Danyla discovered that divine power came from controlling natural elements and used Heaven and Earth Resonance to open a fissure into the Sea of Elements. She reforged the Lord of the Skies and unleashed elemental power across Westeros, melting the Long Night’s ice and destroying the newly reborn King of the White Walkers.
Danyla restored the world's elemental balance and ended the extreme weather, but the Sea of Elements left her severely weakened as supernatural creatures and events spread across Westeros. She sensed the growing dangers but could not act, leaving the realm in peril.
After recovering from the Long Night, Danyla secured the Vale’s loyalty to the Divine Eagle Ares and refined the Source Stone with Rafa. She then flew to White Harbor, where Earl Torrhen Manderly showed her the devastation of a plague that ordinary remedies could not stop.
Danyla fought the Pale Holy Child, whose plague magic fed on abandoned children, and rescued more than a hundred victims near White Harbor. In Braavos, she destroyed a malformed creature in a sewer, but its final words hinted that a lord in the abyss was still a threat.
After the plague ended, Danyla visited Ozarion in Braavos and tried to repair their distant relationship. She met his unusual young dragon, Soltrion, and promised to spend more time with her son while keeping the dragon’s powers secret.
After recovering in Braavos, Danyla learned that Iseryn had gone missing and tracked her to the Dreadfort, where blood magic and the Red King’s servants awaited her. She found Iseryn suspended in a ritual chamber, apparently pregnant and warning her mother of a trap as the floor opened into a pool of blood.
Danyla and Iseryn used the Blood Sacrifice Spells and the dragons’ fire to destroy the Dreadfort and confront the Red King, who had possessed Dominic. After Danyla killed the Red King, his essence burned away, but Iseryn’s unborn child convulsed violently, leaving its fate uncertain.
Iseryn accepted that she would love her unborn child even if he carried the Red King's memories, and later welcomed him into the world with the Red King's chain-shaped birthmark. As Westeros recovered from the calamity, Danyla's family gathered at Holy Flame Castle, where Ilisa's dragon egg hatched into Aphrodite.
Danyla’s children gathered at Holy Flame Castle after Isara returned with a giant octopus for the newly hatched Aphrodite. The family shared a magical feast, and the chapter ended with Ityla struggling to master magic while Isara demonstrated her flaming swordsmanship.
Danyla and her children shared grilled giant octopus at Holy Flame Castle while discussing the awakening of ancient creatures and the unrest in Dorne. After sacrificing the octopus’s remains to their Dragon Eggs and Aphrodite, the children’s magical energy grew, and Isara and Ityla manifested faint flames.
Danyla surveyed how magical energy gathered across the world, while ancient powers and gods began to awaken. She ended the chapter granting the Faith of the Seven financial relief as regional peace started to break down.
Danyla visited Riverrun, where the Trout King submitted to her and agreed to protect the Three Forks in exchange for worship and a bloodline pact. She left Ityla in Riverrun with Kermit before continuing her tour.
Danyla visited Oldstones, where women held nearly all positions of power and men appeared fearful and subdued. After Omanrion encouraged the children to mix freely and Danyla learned the region was recovering well, she considered granting Oldstones to him.
Danyla examined Oldstones’ abuses and falling birth rate, then decided to grant the city and the Iron Islands to Omanrion, who recognized the need for change. When Ityla and Ishina objected, Danyla defended her choice and told her daughters to prove their ability to govern before receiving lands.
Danyla reorganized dragon and military duties across the realm while helping Omanrion establish a balanced government at Oldstones. After Sheepstealer’s strange gray-white eggs appeared, one hatched into a unique dragon that Omanrion named Das Radon, leaving his siblings envious and focused again on their own eggs.
Danyla investigated the monster attacking Casterly Rock’s mines and discovered that an awakened Old God was turning its victims into metal to gain faith. Jason revealed that the miners had uncovered a carving of three lions before the attacks began.
Danyla explained that three metal lions beneath Casterly Rock had been created to suppress an ancient evil, and she led Jason Lannister and a group of warriors into the mine to subdue them. In the cave, the warriors were tempted by a pool of liquid gold, but one man was transformed into a statue after touching it, revealing the pool's danger.
Danyla brought Jason Lannister to meet Oryxos, the Golden Lion, and learn the terms of the ancient pact binding it beneath Casterly Rock. When Lann Lyon arrived, Oryxos sensed something unusual about him and cautiously retreated.
Lann Lyon awakened a powerful connection to the golden pool as the metal lions revealed that they guarded a seal imprisoning the Ancient Hunger. Danyla used her magic to protect Lann and transform the pool, but the sealed force began to awaken.
Danyla and Lann Lyon transformed the three metal lions into eighteen smaller lions, then used the Golden Weirwood and a blood sacrifice to attack the evil beneath the mine. The underground force erupted in torrents of black liquid, and the chapter ended with golden roots restraining one of its tendrils as Myracis dug toward the mine.
Danyla, Lann Lyon, Aphrodite, and Myracis battled the darkness beneath the mine while the golden weirwood absorbed blood-sacrifice energy. After the weirwood trapped the darkness within a black heart and grew to the height of Casterly Rock, Lann Lyon formed a bloodline contract with a Golden Lion.
After the crisis in Casterly Rock, Danyla and Lann Lyon arranged for metal lions and weirwoods to enrich ore veins across the Westerlands and Iron Islands. Danyla also began considering marriage prospects for Lann, and the chapter ended with magical energy gathering in the west.
