Danyla and Shirei hunted sea monsters near Fair Isle until Danyla sensed an ancient creature too powerful for Sheepstealer to face. Danyla confronted the Deep Sea Devourer with Myracis, but its ability to absorb dragonfire and its devastating attack left Myracis in danger.
Danyla and Myracis drove off Devourer, only to discover that it had been bait to draw them away while another monster attacked Fair Isle. After the monster killed Sheepstealer and Shirei, Danyla unleashed a devastating spell across the island.
Danyla and Myracis destroyed the monster consuming Fair Isle, but Sheepstealer died after laying a golden Dragon Egg, and a fragment of the monster escaped into the sea. Three days later, Danyla assigned Fair Isle to Ityla and sent the newly hatched dragons Shirei La and Lannex to their new keepers.
Danyla explored three smoking islands far southwest of Westeros and used a weirwood to uncover how rising magical energy had formed them. She sensed something awakening beneath their crystalline rocks as an unknown presence approached.
Danyla met Christina, the last guardian and embodiment of the island, who revealed that the three islands were the peaks of the sunken continent Athetislia. Christina asked Danyla to help revive the continent and resist the Deep Ones, offering Athetislia’s knowledge in return.
Danyla developed Athetislia into a settlement with a weirwood, three volcanoes, and newly hatched dragons, while Christina discovered that merging with the weirwood had placed her consciousness under Danyla’s control. A year later, the Deep Ones attacked the island, and the Unsullied raised the alarm.
Princess Ilisa and Aphrodite joined the defense of Rainbow Glass Harbor as Wyvern’s forces unleashed devastating weapons against the Deep Ones. The defenders rallied for another assault, but a terrifying bulge rose from the distant sea, prompting Wyvern to warn Ilisa to climb higher.
Ilisa’s blood sacrifice weakened the Deep One, but Kraken, Father of the Abyss, emerged and attacked Rainbow Town’s docks. As Aphrodite and the Unsullied fought to hold him back, Igaia used a Forbidden Technique to accelerate Gaia La’s growth.
Igaia empowered Gaia La with a Blood Pact and joined Ilisa and the young dragons in fighting Kraken, using volcanic fire and sacrificial flames to wound the ancient beast. Kraken dispersed the flames and struck back, leaving Ilisa exhausted and Balerion hit as the battle continued.
Igaia and Ilisa used the Blood Sacrifice Ritual to bind Kraken while the young dragons attacked, but the Abyssal Behemoth began to break free. Two ancient dragon souls awakened and helped destroy Kraken before returning to slumber, leaving the island greatly expanded and the survivors exhausted.
Danyla and Myracis battled several Deep-Sea Behemoths in the Summer Sea, using blood sacrifice magic to burn through the monsters and replenish their strength. A hidden Sea Dragon wounded Myracis and joined the fight, leaving the battle unresolved.
Myracis and the arriving dragons fought the Deep-Sea Behemoths, while Isara and Azathos engaged a huge Ice-Type Magical Beast. Isalorn shielded them from its icicle barrage, and Ishys warned that they still needed to break through its ice armor.
Rafa, Azathos, Isalorn, and Dreamfyre used blood sacrifice flames and an undersea volcanic eruption to destroy the Deep-Sea Behemoths. They landed on a new volcanic island, while Rafa warned that older and more terrifying creatures lurked in the deep.
Rafa and the Great Dragons fought the Drowned God, whose abyssal magic wounded them and overwhelmed their attacks. They destroyed its heart with a combined assault and blood sacrifice, leaving a newly formed volcanic island between Oldtown and Athetislia as Ishys wondered what else might awaken.
Danyla sacrificed herself to sever the sea of elements from the mortal world and imprison the Crystal Lifeforms, then transformed the Blue Weirwood into a guardian of countless worlds. Her children received elemental powers from its fruits, while Igaia and Ilisa learned that Danyla remained present in the tree and across parallel worlds.
After Danyla’s death in Athetislia, her family and the Ten Kingdoms mourned and honored her as Saint Danylia, the Holy Flame Emperor. Her descendants shaped the North and Oldstones in her legacy, while Daemon emerged from his grief in Qarth and launched a devastating assault on its sorcerers and royal families.
Isilia expanded her kingdom across Yi Ti, while Otheryon built a powerful realm in Sothoryos and united its races in a federation. The chapter ended with Otheryon wary of the unknown dangers in the southern jungles, where no weirwood would grow.
Ozarion and Sol fought the sea monsters gathered at ruined Lorath, then faced their nearly indestructible golden-ringed leader. As the monster overwhelmed them, Danyla appeared and destroyed it and the Underground Labyrinth, leaving Ozarion wondering whether his mother had become a god.
Ozarion claimed the Lorath Isles, rebuilt Vys Gradka as the capital of the Kingdom of Sarn, and defeated a Dothraki invasion with his dragons. After the surviving riders submitted, he formed them into the Grassland Warrior Corps, and Sarn’s growing power drew envoys from across Essos.
The chapter recounts how Danyla’s descendants built powerful realms across Westeros, Essos, and Sothoryos, while the Holy Flame Empire gradually lost its Dragon Warriors as magic waned. It leaves the family’s many branches established as influential powers, with their descendants shaping the world for generations.
The chapter recounted how Danyla’s children and descendants built powerful kingdoms and shaped the world after her ascension. Sixty years later, Igaia sacrificed herself and five Great Dragons to attach her consciousness to the World Gate in hopes of resurrecting Danyla, but whether she would succeed remained unknown.
