Richie's mouth twitched when he heard that.
Mother, you only just noticed Father had finished in the bathroom!
Richie looked up and swallowed the words: You certainly remembered early, Mother.
Caught off guard by his wife's remark, Twilight froze for a moment, unsure how to respond.
While he hesitated, Yor hurriedly continued:
"Mr. Loid, Anya is missing!!"
Though Twilight was worried sick, he remained calm on the outside. He even tried to reassure Yor:
"Don't worry. Let's split up and look for her. We're sure to find her in one of the nearby public restrooms."
Yor's distress showed on her face and weighed on her heart. She nodded earnestly. "Okay."
Richie stroked the kitten in his arms and grumbled inwardly: Even if we turn every nearby public restroom upside down, we won't find Anya.
From the look of things, Anya probably went off to deal with that bomb or whatever.
Richie looked up at the sky. It was still noon.
He remembered that everything had been settled by evening, when the whole family somehow ended up together. There had been something strangely harmonious about it.
Twilight then said to Yor and Richie:
"Miss Yor, I'll leave Richie with you. I'll go find Anya. Wait for me to come back."
With that, Twilight sprinted away.
Twilight was surely going to look for Anya now, but before long, his organization would definitely summon him back to continue his mission.
After all, this was a crucial matter that could determine whether peace between the two countries lasted.
Richie sighed, but Yor took one of his little hands.
"Come on, Richie! Let's look for Anya in the other public restrooms, too."
Richie nodded hesitantly. He knew they wouldn't find Anya, but he couldn't exactly tell Yor that she had gone to defuse a bomb!
