• Normal form: A bronze short sword with a lifelike azure dragon engraved on its blade, giving it an ancient, austere appearance 11.
• Spiritual signature: Gives off no fluctuations of spiritual energy and appears no different from an ordinary magical artifact 11.
• Carried form: Flashes with azure light and fastens itself at Ye Fei’s waist when Azure Dragon entrusts it to him 11.
• Concealed form: Shrinks into a dust-sized speck that can hover, cling to a tree or wall, or sink into soil 16 19 23 35.

Background / History

Azure Dragon gives Ye Fei access to his treasures through a trade sealed by heavenly dao oaths. If Ye Fei ascends to the Upper Realm, he must help recover Azure Dragon’s physical body within a thousand years of his ascension. Azure Dragon also promises him a drop of true dragon blood after the task is completed 10.

After securing Ye Fei’s promise, Azure Dragon declares that Azure Dragon Valley has fulfilled its purpose. The valley’s extraordinary scenery vanishes, restoring the surrounding landscape to lush greenery and leaving a bronze short sword hovering before Ye Fei. Azure Dragon reveals that the waterfall, pool, and medicine field are all inside the Azure Dragon Sword. Ye Fei binds the sword with blood and enters its space for the first time 11.

Inner Space

The sword’s interior reproduces the scenery of the former Azure Dragon Valley. Azure Dragon resides there, usually resting in the clouds above the waterfall 11.

Cultivation Depths

Spiritual energy becomes denser toward the vein beneath the pool, but the cold also intensifies 30.

Entry and Storage

• Binding the sword with blood establishes a mental connection with its owner 11.
• A wisp of divine sense allows Ye Fei to enter with either his divine sense alone or his physical body 11.
• Its spacious interior stores herbs, seeds, Demon Beast corpses, Spirit Stones, equipment, and other treasures 14 16 20 21 50.
• Ye Fei can retrieve objects and draw out pool water using divine sense, without physically entering 26 28.
• It can accommodate other people: Ye Fei draws Jiang Mengyun inside while traveling on his flying sword 43.

Concealment and Movement

• After Ye Fei enters, the sword can shrink into a speck of dust, concealing both him and his stored possessions 16 19.

Secret Realm Entry

• Jiang Mengyun proposes hiding inside the sword to evade the Heavenly Dao’s scrutiny and enter the Divine Feather Secret Realm, which normally excludes cultivators above Qi Refining 38.
• She successfully travels inside it and emerges after Ye Fei enters the realm 43 45 46.
• Cultivation suppression: Before the journey, Jiang Mengyun is uncertain whether her cultivation will be suppressed to Qi Refining perfection upon emerging 38.
