Control and Betrayal of Lin Ke

During their relationship, Shakira used Heart Corrosion to control Lin Ke and drove away people who approached him. His textbooks recorded three years of torment, including her efforts to isolate him from friends 36 37.

Lin Ke’s awakening of Holy Flame broke her control and gave him the resolve to leave. Shakira resented both his independence and the contrast between his powerful Sequence and her own Rot, which threatened the beauty she prized 37.

She ordered her cult associates to kill him and extract his Origin Substance. According to the Skeleton Lord, she wanted to exchange it with her own to preserve her appearance. The operation succeeded, but the unexpected Red Moon forced the group to abandon the corpse rather than complete its planned disposal 41 46.

Encounter with Lin En

When Lin En appeared in Lin Ke’s body, Shakira greeted him as her boyfriend and kissed him in public. Shakira discovered Hana Ye watching from outside, dragged her into the room, and threatened to eat her alive. Hana Ye scratched her face and shot her shoulder, but Lin En’s intervention prevented Shakira from killing her 34.

Defeat and Death

Lin En regenerated his head and revealed that he was an otherworldly occupant of Lin Ke’s body. Shakira attacked him physically and attempted to amplify his fear through Heart Corrosion, but neither approach overcame his regeneration and psychic resistance 35 36.

After crushing her arm, Lin En confronted her with Lin Ke’s written accusations and forced her to explain the betrayal. He offered to spare her if she helped recover Lin Ke’s stolen Origin Substance and assisted him in assuming the dead student’s identity. Instead, she attacked from behind and repeatedly stabbed him; he embraced her and crushed her to death 36 37.

Lin En extracted her Origin Substance afterward. Before leaving her body, he revealed that Lin Ke had still hoped to give her another chance and potentially start over with her in another city 38.
