The Ferland Continent was vast, its lands stretching far and wide.

Even with the Winged People maintaining high-speed flight every day, the journey from the Eastern Sea Shore to the Monen Plain in the continent's heart took more than a month. They arrived just as the other races gathering for the alliance did.

There was no helping it. Only the merfolk of the Western Sea coast had a journey as long as the Winged People's.

Along the way, neither magical beasts nor other races tried to stop them.

Who would dare? An aerial legion of ten thousand Winged People filled the sky, advancing like an immense, boundless bank of dark clouds. It was a terrifying sight!

Not to mention that every soldier in this Winged People legion carried a bow. A single command would unleash ten thousand arrows. Who could withstand such a dreadful barrage?

During the journey, Jiang You had even led the Winged People legion in wiping out quite a few magical beasts foolish enough to cross their path.

It gave him a firsthand look at his Winged People legion's fighting strength and greater confidence in the coming war!

When they reached the skies above the Monen Plain, nearly a million soldiers from various races had already gathered on that vast expanse.

They had set up camps on the plain, each race keeping to its own.

Jiang You looked down.

Tall minotaurs swung heavy stone axes in their camps, venting what seemed to be an inexhaustible supply of brute strength.

Short but thick-limbed dwarf warriors all carried Bronze Weapons. Some were even forging equipment right there in camp.

Centaur cavalry raced about like the wind. They were bare-bodied, their hair braided, but their archery was superb. They were among the strongest cavalry forces on the Ferland Continent at the time.

There were also troll clans that had likewise betrayed the Titans, and their numbers were considerable. In present-day Ferland, only the goblins outnumbered the trolls.

The merfolk, born with water magic, were there as well. Few in number, they had traveled all the way from the western coast to lend their aid. Supposedly, it was all because of a great love between a goblin prince and a merfolk princess!

Jiang You, however, did not believe that merfolk princess would fall in love with a goblin prince.

The gnomes, the goblins' close friends, were there purely to cheer them on. Yet the gnomes were far from weak; they too possessed many inherited spellcasting classes!

There were also innocent fairies who had come to join the fun. Fairies were divided into several types according to their elements. Those present were wind fairies, light fairies, and their guardian, a Forest High Fairy.

Fairies lived long lives in the forests and possessed exceptionally powerful magic.

In ancient times, before the rise of the many other systems of power, fairies had been formidable. Even the goblins had no wish to offend them.

Goblin King Amigel had tacitly accepted their decision to join the festivities. With a high fairy watching over them, the little ones probably would not do anything too outrageous.

Besides, this Forest High Fairy was a Legendary powerhouse.

There were also several hundred treants, known as the tanks of ancient times. Wherever they took root, they formed an unbreakable wall. They had also maintained friendly relations with certain troll clans for generations.

Beyond them were the dwarf wolves, magical beasts tamed by the goblins, along with kobolds, boarfolk, and others who had once served the Primordial Dragons!

There were many other intelligent races Jiang You could not name. It was quite possible that their bloodlines had never survived into the future.

But more numerous than all of them were the goblin armies, whose endless rows of tents stretched as far as the eye could see!

The goblin legions of this era were unquestionably elite forces.

They were well armed and armored. In just over a decade, one in ten goblins had been equipped with iron weapons and armor. Presumably, that was the contribution of the Human Race from the previous era who had emerged from the Sanctuary.

Steel weapons built with steam technology had also been positioned outside their tents, lending the camps an imposing air.

Those weapons were genuinely powerful. With just a few glances, Jiang You could sense several things that posed a deadly threat to him.

The sight left him both covetous and envious. He could only tell himself silently:

The second chapter is about to begin. This is the goblins' era. My Winged People are not strong enough yet. Our time will come!

As far as Jiang You could see, the Monen Plain held several hundred intelligent races.

Some had brought tens of thousands of troops, such as the trolls. They too were a major race in Ferland, though some of their factions had sided with the Titan Giants.

Others numbered only a few hundred, such as the fairies. They sang lilting songs in their camp, showing none of the tension of an approaching war. They really did seem to have come just to join the fun.

The goblins delivered cartload after cartload of food and supplies from all over.

When Jiang You's Winged People army reached the skies above the Monen Plain, it was as though an immense sea of clouds had swept across the heavens, blotting out the daylight!

They were impossible to miss.

Almost every race on the Monen Plain saw the enormous aerial force, its soldiers carrying longbows with Bronze Longswords hanging at their waists.

The Winged People had only risen to prominence on the continent a little over a decade ago, and many races did not recognize them.

Now, seeing such a huge aerial legion approaching from afar, they were puzzled.

"Wasn't the Eaglemen Royal Court too proud to join us in rebelling against their great masters, the Thunder Titans?"

"Why does this aerial legion look so much like the eaglemen? Could their Eaglemen King be the sort who says one thing and does another?"

At that, self-proclaimed experts from various races scoffed.

"Your information is far too outdated. Those flying overhead are our allies, the Winged People. They may look very much like eaglemen, but they're completely different!"

"My chieftain said those eaglemen are nothing compared to the Winged People. I remember him saying something like, one wing equals five eagles!"

"One Winged Person is worth five eaglemen? Good grief! Then it looks like the Winged People could challenge the eaglemen, griffins, Two-Headed Flying Dragons, hippogriffs, and the other flying races for supremacy over the skies!"

"Either way, with them on our side, we won't have to worry so much about enemies coming from above!"

Just then.

A squad of goblin class holders rose into the air from the goblin camp and approached Jiang You.

They wore armor and carried greatswords or flails on their backs. Wind power surged around them, holding them aloft.

Jiang You sensed that none of these goblin class holders had reached the Legendary realm, so theirs was presumably a transcendent class capable of flight.

As far as Jiang You knew, most transcendent goblins, including the Goblin King, belonged to knight classes.

This squad of powerful goblins might be Sky Knights, the advanced form of the goblins' Wind Knight class!

It might sound a little absurd.

But the various knight classes developed by the goblins in ancient times really were among the origins of the "knight" classes of the future!

The four elemental knight classes that would spread throughout the world-Wind Knights, Earth Knights, Water Knights, and Fire Knights-had all been pioneered by the goblins!
