Position in the Cultivation System

Restrictions on Worldly Affairs

Taiji Realm cultivators are generally expected not to interfere in ordinary worldly affairs because their power is too destructive for the secular world. The rule is said to have been established by powerful forces to prevent them from slaughtering living beings indiscriminately. 381

Within the Bright Jade Dynasty’s sphere of influence, a newly advanced Taiji Realm cultivator faces two expected outcomes:

1. Submit to the Imperial Court.
2. Leave the dynasty’s sphere of influence. 381

These restrictions can be set aside when a threat exceeds normal limits, such as the self-destruction of powerful Giant Apes; the Lan Manor Sky Sect, Imperial Palace, and Wen Family all activated Taiji Realm-level protections in response. 401
