The banner originally formed the core of an unattended Yin Yang Fusion Array at the Imperial Mausoleum. Nearly one hundred meters tall, it regulated opposing Yin and Yang forces through ninety-eight subordinate black flags; if fully controlled, the array could have killed the trapped Smiling Old Man. Ren Jie expended approximately 200 million Jade Coins' worth of Spirit Jade to analyze the formation before entering it alone. 277

Within the Main Banner, Ren Jie encountered a female-shaped Divine Sense imprint with the aura of a peak Yin Yang Realm Yang Soul expert. He relied on his Sage Dao Discussion-enhanced Divine Sense to destroy the existing imprints, seize the banner, and collapse the surrounding array. 278
