Overview

Divine Soul Power is the power associated with a cultivator's Divine Sense and soul. Before the Taiji Realm, it is generally limited in practical use; after reaching Taiji, Divine Sense can merge with the soul and interact with laws, Divine Powers, and the Natal Taiji. 208

Its principal early functions are expanding Divine Sense, diversifying its applications, and suppressing another person's Divine Sense. Using Divine Sense-derived power directly against others is considered uncommon before the Taiji Realm. 208

Cultivation and Realm Significance

Properties

• Divine Soul Power and Divine Sense are exceptionally difficult to repair after damage; even Taiji Realm experts generally must recover slowly on their own. 334
• Materials that repair Divine Sense or Divine Soul Power are extraordinarily valuable. An effect comparable to an ordinary Low-Grade Spirit Pill for bodily healing can be valued no lower than a Low-Grade Heaven Pill when applied to Divine Sense or Divine Soul recovery. 334
• Most cultivators can only improve Divine Soul Power gradually alongside their cultivation method and overall realm; separate cultivation methods or resources are rare. 334

Applications

Divine Sense Suppression and Imprints

Before Taiji, Divine Soul Power can enlarge a cultivator's Divine Sense range, alter its functions, and suppress opposing Divine Sense. 208

Ren Jie can form special Divine Sense imprints that others cannot see or touch unless they are activated. He deliberately allowed Lu Qing to sense one such imprint, causing Lu Qing to believe Ren Jie had uncovered a major secret. 315

Soul Combat

Ren Jie demonstrates control over Divine Soul Power beyond what his realm would normally suggest when he attacks Shui Zhipeng's Divine Soul during the attempt to seize Gu Xiaobao's body. 497

The Eastern Wastelands Divine Teaching Sect Leader possesses a body condensed entirely from Divine Soul Power. Although he can regenerate it through the Divine Tree's Life Spiritual Energy, Ren Jie's Immortal Soul Power ultimately overwhelms and destroys the body. 711 712

Alchemy and Refinement

• Old Pill King Yu Changkong continuously consumes Jade Spring Taoist's Divine Soul Power while refining and improving a Top-Grade Medicine Furnace. 240
• Puppet refinement requires Divine Soul Power and cannot be solved with elixirs alone; cultivators below the Taiji Realm, including Yu Changkong, are normally unable to address this requirement. 315
• Ren Jie uses Divine Soul Power to stimulate the remaining medicinal properties of Hai Qingyun's Bloodline Potion. 669

Disembodied Divine Souls

A Divine Soul can survive independently after its physical body's destruction, particularly for cultivators at the Yin Yang Realm and above. At the Taiji Realm, a sufficiently powerful Divine Soul can seize another body for rebirth. 568

However, a disembodied Divine Soul is vulnerable:

• It becomes weaker without a physical body. 568
• It can be captured and refined into Magical Treasures or forcibly turned into an artifact spirit. 568
• Independent cultivation is difficult, and abandoning the physical body prevents later advancement through Thunder Tribulation. 568
• A Divine Soul that grows too powerful may be unable to find a physical body capable of bearing it. 568

Ren Tianheng's Divine Soul survives the destruction of his body after being sealed and nourished within the Soul Devouring Armor. The armor allows its Divine Soul Power to erupt at a level comparable to the Taiji Realm, but also makes separating from the armor difficult. 568

• Vortex pool water — Enhances Divine Sense and Divine Soul Power; Ren Jie's Divine Sense grows rapidly after passing through the vortex. 334
• Soul Devouring Armor — Nourishes and strengthens its wearer's Divine Soul; it has absorbed Divine Soul Power from an ancient battlefield. 568
