The scene he had imagined was abruptly shattered by a childish cry.

Standing atop the beast's skull, Chaos lowered his head and looked helplessly at the white dragon hatchling sitting on the ground. Her two sturdy hind legs were stretched straight out, and her plump, cone-shaped tail rested on the earth.

The white hatchling was covered in wounds, with scarcely a patch of scales left intact-all marks of the battle they had just fought.

Many hatchlings of other colors lay around her. Like the white hatchling, they were all battered from the fight.

"You little white chonk, can't you at least let me finish looking badass?"

The little white chonk tilted her head slightly.

She didn't really understand what Chaos meant by 'finish looking badass.'

Her round head drooped, and she rested her chubby little claws on her equally round belly, giving it a rub.

She was so hungry. She wanted to eat meat already.

"Hum-da, hum-da~"

The white hatchling raised her head and called out to Chaos twice more. This time, her cries sounded a little more plaintive.
