With the Ability User teams and staff rescued, the once-chaotic City I Base quickly regained order. Soldiers hunted down the invading monsters while staff launched emergency rescue operations and evacuated the crowds.
It took less than an hour for order to be restored throughout City I Base.
The Lizard People even tried to flee.
Wang Weihu sent an enormous earthen ball crashing down from the sky, crushing them all into flattened scraps.
He even remembered to raise a hand and cover the eyes of the two little kids in his arms. "Hey, hey, hey, you don't need to see this."
But the children pulled his hand down and said, their eyes red, that they weren't scared. "Big brother, we want to fight monsters and protect everyone too."
Wang Weihu's heart ached at their words. He handed the children to the other people in the temporary shelter, who immediately took them without caring whose children they were.
The children weren't frightened either.
Wang Weihu watched the fierce battle raging in the distance. The Thunderstorm Ability erupted in brilliant flashes now and then, turning the sky violet-blue. Yet however intense the fighting over there became, it somehow didn't affect this area. Little Class Monitor must have been containing it with her Spatial Ability.
