Wang Weihu went out to the emergency stairwell for a smoke with his arm around the Gluttonous Beast's shoulders.
Qin Luo and Xu Duoduo went to the front desk to make up for the gifts they had forgotten.
The medical staff laughed at their antics.
"If you forgot, you forgot. Who comes back to make up for forgotten gifts? You two are too adorable."
"Gifts are fine, but no mangoes or Want Want snacks. Those are bad luck around here. Fei's condition has finally stabilized a little. If things get hectic again, we're done for."

Xu Duoduo rummaged through her storage space, taking out snacks for everyone-none with "prosperity" in the name-as well as mutated fruits and durable permanent markers.
The other gifts were all well and good.
But when Shishi pulled out a huge pile of pens, the medical staff got excited.

"Director Li has swiped at least twenty pens from me. Remember to pay me back this time!!"
Everyone was laughing.
But Xu Duoduo still noticed the dark circles beneath their eyes, a sure sign of poor sleep. The medical staff's eyes were all bloodshot.
Several computer screens were filled with Fei's vital signs and other data.
The desks were piled with documents and Fei's medical records, along with discarded coffee cups and cups of strong tea, the leaves still covering the bottoms.
