Mercer captured Zombie Wanda and another powerful being, restored Manhattan, and explored the newly acquired Infinite Realm. He entered its first unlocked world, Equivalent Exchange, and discovered that he retained his abilities there.
Mercer explored the Minecraft-like world, gathered resources, and survived painful attacks from a Creeper and a skeleton while crafting iron equipment. After three in-game days, he noticed that other players had begun joining the vast shared world.
Mercer obtained diamonds, entered the Nether, and crafted a Transmutation Tablet that contained his equipment and enabled him to set up equipment for generating transmutation value. After leaving the game to eat, he was approached by Agent Romanoff.
Natasha Romanoff approached Alex Mercer on S.H.I.E.L.D.’s behalf and offered him a chance to join the organization. Mercer rejected her and trapped her in a vivid illusion of the Red Room before warning her to leave him alone.
After leaving Natasha and S.H.I.E.L.D. behind, Mercer was caught in an unusual earthquake in New York and traced its source deep beneath the Earth. He discovered a vast cocoon of golden light and was left stunned by what lay underground.
Mercer discovered a Celestial incubating beneath Earth and learned that it would emerge once the planet’s living consciousness reached its peak. He realized its birth could destroy all life on Earth and wondered whether Thanos’s plan to erase half of life might have been an act of salvation.
Mercer forced the newly hatched Celestial to become his subordinate, then discovered that nurturing it required the Soul Stone. He went to the Ancient One to ask where Vormir was, leaving the Celestial waiting in its cocoon.
Mercer used the Sharingan to take Vormir's coordinates from the Ancient One, then traveled there to claim the Soul Stone. He reached the cliff with Red Skull, who explained the Stone's life-for-life price, but Mercer answered with a display of spatial power that Red Skull recognized as the Space Stone.
Mercer obtained the Soul Stone without sacrificing a life and used it with the Reality Stone to create the life consciousness the Celestial needed. As the Celestial prepared to emerge within a day, Mercer worried that a Celestial Seed might also exist on his stronger Earth.
Mercer learned how pocket universes could serve as way stations for cheaper travel and devised a method to create one with the Southern Heavenly Gate, Space Stone, and Reality Stone. While waiting seven days for the golden cocoon to absorb energy, he considered how to reuse Zombie Sentry’s power and realized he could accelerate time, but then remembered he had not claimed the land where he placed the relevant items.
Mercer returned to the Infinite Realm and found that players had preserved his belongings and transformed his mine into a grand hall. He joined their guild through Shiliubuliu, distributed Energy Condensers, and left the newly named Mercer Guild among the server’s richest.
Mercer used his Equivalent Exchange Heavy Industry to harvest stellar energy from Zombie Sentry, then joined Shiliubuliu as rival guilds attacked their territory. The siege was led by Ordinary Requiem after its leader, DIO, failed to negotiate for equipment.
Mercer joined the defense of the Obsidian Tesseract and led an invisible assault that killed DIO and several of his allies. The attackers surrendered, while Mercer and his squad left the tower with their loot.
Mercer left Shiliubuliu in charge of the guild, then helped the newly emerged Celestial leave Earth’s core and named him Diablo. Mercer and Diablo arrived on the surface, where Mercer revealed that he was having a cosmic singularity made with 3D printing.
Mercer and Diablo watched Thor face the Destroyer in Truman Town, recognizing the events from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When Thor was about to be killed, Diablo stopped the Destroyer's fist, and Mercer complained that Diablo was standing too close.
Mercer’s attempt to create a growing cosmic singularity stalled when the Southern Heavenly Gate system ran out of energy, so he sacrificed his Infinity Stones, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, and the Soul Stone to continue the process. The singularity was completed, but the new Hero Card he received was locked and needed more energy to activate.
Mercer considered using magic to drain power from beings in other worlds, then traveled with Diablo to test whether he could lift Mjolnir. He and Diablo reached the hammer, but neither could lift it.
Mercer overcame Odin’s seal, lifted Mjolnir, and flew away in Thor’s armor while Coulson and his agents watched. Meanwhile, Thor’s friends were losing their battle against two Destroyers, and Thor left his shelter to face them.
Mercer wielded Thor’s Power and Mjolnir to fight Loki’s Destroyers, while Galacta arrived to destroy one and reunite with him. Galacta explained that Liang Bing had brought her to the multiverse, and Mercer learned she considered herself a young girl by divine standards.
Mercer and Galacta stopped Loki's Destroyer, and Thor regained the ability to lift Mjolnir before returning to Asgard. Galacta reunited with Mercer and revealed that the Celestials had revolted in an attempt to control the Multiverse.
Galacta told Mercer that Earth in her universe held an emerging Celestial Seed and that Sun Wukong's group of Celestials had been there since before it existed. After Mercer considered returning home and reclaiming his Infinity Stones, Galacta suggested a way to make his pocket universe real without sacrificing most of his strength.
Mercer finished setting up the Southern Heavenly Gate’s virtual universe and prepared to travel with Galacta and Diablo to the Super God World. The chapter ended as a grand gate opened for their jump.
Lianfeng’s Southern Heavenly Gate-equipped forces secured Great Xia’s borders as the Xiong Bing Lian Second Army took shape, while Sun Wukong learned about the soldiers’ sacrifices and Ge Xiaolun’s state. The chapter ended with Mercer arriving unexpectedly at the border, where Lianfeng identified him as an ally.
Mercer brought Galacta and Diablo to China’s border to assess the Black Armor soldiers’ progress, then ordered Diablo to fight them without causing serious harm. The soldiers trapped Diablo in a spatial blockade and began attacking, but their blows only cracked his armor slightly as the clash continued.
The Bright Light Army transformed its armor and weapons before launching a life-risking attack against Diablo. Diablo met their Bright Light Formation-Breaking Blade with a sphere of energy, and the resulting clash shook the surrounding area.
