It was the morning Ruri was to report to the Anbu.
"Ruri, get up. Aren't you reporting to the Anbu today?" Ruri Hyuga said, standing outside the bedroom door.
"Mm, I know, Aunt Meiling. I'm getting up now!" Ruri, who had just woken up, said groggily.
"Hurry up. I've already made your food. It'll get cold if you leave it much longer!" Mei Ling Hyuga said after hearing that Ruri was awake.
Ruri rubbed his eyes, then got dressed and came out of his room.
"Ruri, come and eat! Once you've eaten, just go straight to the Anbu and report in!" Hizashi Hyuga said to Ruri as he sat at the dining table.
Ruri nodded, then walked over to the table, sat down, and began eating the food in his bowl.
"Ruri, remember what I told you yesterday. Once you're in the Anbu, make sure you learn from your seniors!" Hizashi Hyuga said, looking at Ruri.
"I know, Uncle Nichijo. Don't worry about me. I'll make sure to learn properly once I'm there!" Ruri replied with a smile as he looked at Hizashi Hyuga.
"Ruri, I've already prepared some food for you. Take it with you when you leave! Remember what I told you: take good care of yourself there! If anything comes up, tell us." Mei Ling Hyuga brought a fried egg out of the kitchen and handed it to Ruri as she spoke.
Ruri took the fried egg, nodded, and said, "I know, Aunt Meiling. I'll take good care of myself there!"
After finishing his meal, Ruri said goodbye to Hizashi and his wife and left.
Following the address the Third Hokage had given him, Ruri soon found the Anbu's location. True to its nature as an organization established in the shadows, even its headquarters had been built
