Fallarbor Town was an agricultural town in the Hoenn Region. Volcanic ash made its environment ideal for farming. It was hardly a tourist destination, so the S.S. Anne stopped only briefly to replenish its supplies before sailing away.

The ship would continue around the Hoenn Region, eventually docking in a city to the south.

Xin Mu and the others disembarked here only because Fallarbor Town was the closest stop to Mt. Chimney, making it convenient for them to reach the volcanic area.

Lavaridge Town was actually closer, but it was inland and inconvenient to reach.

"Once we get to Fallarbor Town, take a few days to rest. I'm going to visit a friend first."

Fallarbor Town was also home to a professor named Cozmo Takao, who studied meteorites.

Despite being called a town and hardly qualifying as an international metropolis, Fallarbor Town was still fairly large.

From a distance, they had seen gray volcanic ash hanging in the sky, but once they arrived in Fallarbor Town, the scenery looked perfectly normal.

The setting sun bathed Fallarbor Town's streets, and the sweet scent of ripe Berries drifted through the air.

Xin Mu, Meownei, Tang Zi, and the others were sorting out their luggage outside the Pokémon Center. Lü Ming had gone to visit Professor Cozmo without taking his students along, so they planned to stay at the Pokémon Center for now.

Suddenly, a familiar, boisterous voice came from behind them. "Mr. Xin Mu! Is that you?"

They turned to see Ash waving as he ran toward them, Pikachu perched on his shoulder with its tail swishing happily. May, Max, and Brock followed behind him.

"I knew it! I said a Trainer with a Meowscarada had to be Mr. Xin Mu. What brings you here?"

"Academic matters. We're heading to Mt. Chimney.
