Lucky Roux stared at Ai Haibara Meow in bewilderment, still unable to process what had happened. "Where's Kaido? Where are the Beasts Pirates?"
Benn Beckman, however, had already guessed the gist of it. After all, she was their captain's daughter, so they knew something about the Sing-Sing Fruit's powers...

Beckman gave a wry smile. "We were probably pulled in without realizing it while we were drinking against little Suika, weren't we?"
"Heh heh~ No wonder Xie Wen said to get you out first. You really are smart, meow."

Getting Benn Beckman out first was something Xie Wen had decided at the very beginning when devising the plan he had named "Illusion."
Because a fake was ultimately a fake, and with so much to do in so little time, they could not polish their "script" to perfection. An unexpected incident midway through, or Red-Hair's people spotting a flaw, were both possible.
All Xie Wen could do was find ways to minimize the risk of being exposed... At the very least, they couldn't let the act be exposed that quickly, could they?
