On Heavenly God Mountain, Yun Ying attempted to open her tenth heavenly grotto while Yun Xi watched in alarm. As the Heavenly Dao struck Yun Ying with purple lightning, Yun Canghai arrived and said the attempt could not be stopped.
Yun Ying endured the heavenly tribulation and successfully opened the tenth cave heaven, reaching the ultimate limit of the Cave Heaven Realm. After Yun Canghai warned her to keep the achievement secret, Yun Ying asked Yun Xi about events outside and heard of a Bear Child who had broken the Double-Pupiled One’s record.
Yun Xi told Yun Ying that the Heaven Mending Pavilion was accepting disciples despite its Sacrificial Spirit nearing death, then asked her to join a trip to the Hundred Broken Mountains for a treasure marked on her map. Months later, Yun Ying entered the Spirit Transformation Realm and began tempering her body with Sword Dao Runes.
Yun Ying completed the tempering of her body with Sword Dao Runes and traveled with Yun Xi to Broken Void City for the opening of the Hundred Broken Mountains. They entered through the gateway and found glowing passages leading to different regions inside.
Yun Ying entered the Hundred Broken Mountains and discovered a palace left behind by an ancient god. After accepting the god’s trial, she began trying to comprehend a god-level rune to earn its special legacy.
Yun Ying passed the old man’s trial, received the Star Art and a bloodline-refinement method, and used the divine blood in the palace to refine her bloodline. After claiming two divine bells, she left to find out how Yun Xi was faring in the Hundred Herb Garden.
Yun Ying entered the Hundred Herb Garden and found the Ageless Divine Spring already drained. There she encountered a human boy who mistook her for Yun Xi, before he fled from the Chi Dragon, Zhujian, and their companions.
Yun Ying gave Yun Xi a Divine Artifact bell and a bloodline-refining secret technique before leaving to explore the Hundred Broken Mountains. As the regions merged and powerful native beasts emerged, a Jade-Eyed Golden-Pupiled Beast attacked Yun Ying and prepared to devour her.
Yun Ying fought the emerald-eyed, golden-pupiled beast, overwhelming its attacks with runic mastery and the Purple Bamboo Sword. After cutting and badly wounding the beast, she forced it to realize that it could not defeat her, leaving it afraid for its life.
Yun Ying forced the Jade-Eyed Golden-Pupiled Beast to surrender azure water divine gold before heading to the Hundred Broken Mountains’ center to meet Yun Xi. The two assessed the guarded quasi-sacred medicine, while a hidden group on a Divine Carpet narrowly avoided Yun Ying’s notice.
Yun Ying and Yun Xi entered the monkey-occupied forest to reach the lake and its four stalks of quasi-sacred medicine. Yun Ying carved through the troop and faced its chiefs while Yun Xi continued breaking the restrictions.
Yun Xi and the others fought to seize the four stalks of Quasi-Sacred Medicine at the Spirit Lake as the Divine Monkey King and hidden Beast Kings joined the battle. Yun Xi escaped with one stalk thanks to Yun Ying, who blocked the Divine Monkey King's attack before preparing to evade his next strike with her Star Sword Wings.
Yun Ying escaped the Divine Monkey King, stole two silver peaches from a quasi-sacred medicine tree, and reunited with Yun Xi while the battle for the remaining medicine continued. As the exit awaited, the Divine Monkey King pursued the stolen plants, and Yun Ying cultivated in a cave, revealing a powerful, radiant core at her brow.
Yun Ying completed the first two stages of the Spirit Transformation Realm and returned from the Hundred Broken Mountains with Yun Xi after the Fire Kingdom Human Emperor drove off the Divine Monkey King. At Heavenly God Mountain, Yun Xi revealed that Yun Ying had helped them seize a quasi-sacred medicine.
Yun Xi gave Yun Canghai the quasi-sacred medicine and the hide scroll Yun Ying had found, and he warned them to keep the powerful inheritance secret as the Desolate Region neared a great calamity. The Heaven Mending Pavilion was soon destroyed, and Yun Ying questioned Yun Xi about a treasure she had found in the Hundred Broken Mountains.
Yun Ying agreed to fight Bear Child after he captured the Chi Dragon and refused to release him without a challenge. The chapter ended as Bear Child and Yun Ying exchanged their first attacks.
Yun Ying fought Bear Child, then traded information about the Kun Peng Precious Technique and a human couple for the Chi Dragon’s release. After freeing the Chi Dragon, Yun Ying returned to Yun Xi, while Bear Child stayed behind to eat.
Yun Ying fulfilled her promise to Bear Child by finding news of the human couple, then learned that the Kunpeng Nest had emerged in the North Sea and joined the sacred mountains' young experts setting out to claim the Kun Peng Precious Technique. The group prepared to enter the sea under cultivation-suppressing restrictions, where Yun Ying reunited with Yin Xue and Lian'er.
Yun Ying and her companions traveled through perilous waters toward the Kunpeng Nest, surviving attacks and discovering that the Forbidden Sea’s seal had begun to fluctuate. They continued onward amid signs of powerful arrivals and ominous ghost ships.
Yun Ying and her companions crossed the perilous sea and reached the true Kunpeng Nest, where cultivators battled under the Nest’s power-suppressing ripples. After arriving at the Nest’s island, Yun Ying urged Yun Xi and the others not to rush, warning that Kun Peng’s legacy would choose its own inheritor.
Yun Ying parted from Yun Xi’s group and went alone to the Kunpeng Nest, where she found a mysterious gateway containing a Kun Wood Branch and intact leaf. As Mo Shang arrived and claimed the area, Yun Ying formed a lifelike carp from Sword Dao Runes near the gateway.
Yun Ying used runes to turn a carp into a fish dragon that passed through the gateway and retrieved the kun wood. When Mo Shang attacked to claim it, Yun Ying blocked his trident and sent him flying with a sword strike.
Yun Ying defeated the Sea God's descendant and kept the Kun Wood she had obtained, while the Red-Haired Boy intervened to fight the descendant. After exploring the Kunpeng Nest without finding its inheritance, Yun Ying reunited with Yun Xi and revealed how Kun Wood had transformed her Purple Bamboo Sword.
Yun Xi accepted Yun Ying’s Kun Wood leaf and set out to cultivate in the Yang Extreme Cave and Mystic Ice Abyss, while Yun Ying meditated atop the Kunpeng Nest with her transformed sword. After Bear Child and a black-clad girl attacked the Sea God’s descendant, they later approached Yun Ying, intending to take her Kun Wood.
Bear Child and the Black-Clothed Girl failed to rob Yun Ying, then became notorious bandits as the North Sea Kunpeng Nest drew powerful forces. Two years later, Yun Ying had defeated every group that came after her for the kun wood and was left undisturbed near the Nest.
