Several Pirate nearby exchanged glances and then looked at "Flames" Danitz. One of them, chuckling, asked, "Boss, you're a 5,500-pound Bounty who once took down 'Steel's' Great Pirate with a smaller force. Why were your legs trembling just now?"
"What you said before, wasn't all just bragging, was it?"
As soon as he finished speaking, everyone burst into laughter.
Especially "Gourmet" Bru Wall, "Singer" Orpheus, and "Bucket" Daniels laughed the most exaggeratedly.
Even the usually expressionless "Vice Admiral Iceberg" pursed his lips slightly with a smile.
Danitz's expression Distortion for a moment, then he kicked his subordinate in the buttocks, his face flushed red as he shouted, "Bullshit, I never brag!"
"It's only because Agalito didn't dare to chase after us today, otherwise I would have kicked his ass right in front of you, and shown you bunch of Dogshit what Sailor Chief you should know—"
Lorry was laughing as he watched the "Flames" Great Pirate make a fool of himself, but when he heard the voice behind him, his expression suddenly changed. He was about to stop the other man from making a promise when his eyes suddenly darkened, and he abruptly turned his head to look behind him again.
In the shadowy darkness, a small dot rapidly magnifies at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The "Death Announcer" is on its way!
That jinx—even though he knew it might not matter much, he still couldn't help but mentally criticize "Flames" Danitz.
As he looked away, he exchanged a glance with Edwina, whose expression was grave. Then, Lorry turned to the oblivious Danitz and said irritably, "Your chance has come."
Danitz, completely bewildered, asked, "Huh?" "What do you mean?"
Lorry scoffed and curled his lip in the direction the "Death Announcer" had come from. "Didn't you want to kick Agalito's ass?"
"Now the opportunity has come."
"We'll launch a small boat later, and you'll be in charge of covering our retreat."
"You can take this opportunity to storm the Death Announcer,' kick it for as long as you want, and kick it however you like."
For a split second, everyone's expressions froze, then they instinctively turned their heads, their faces and eyes simultaneously revealing...
They were filled with fear and confusion.
No one expected that after a long flight, the "King of Immortality" Agalito still refused to give up!
"Gourmet" Bru Wall took a deep breath, barely managing to maintain his composure as he looked at "Vice Admiral Iceberg": "Captain, what do we do now?"
Without hesitation, Edwina began issuing orders. "Notify all Sailor to prepare for battle immediately!"
"You're in charge of maintaining order, I—"
She had originally intended to say she would return to the captain's cabin and try to seek help from the church through Ritual Magic.
But seeing the "Death Announcer" speed increase again, with the silhouette of the huge black sailboat growing larger almost every second, she decisively abandoned the idea.
The speed of the "Death Announcer" has exceeded reasonable limits.
There's simply not enough time!
If I'm not there during the battle, the Sailor ' morale will plummet, and they're likely to have wild thoughts and won't have the courage to fight.
This is bad news— Lorry Calmness observed the situation and came to this conclusion.
He pondered for a moment, then a thought struck him. He quickly pulled "Vice Admiral Iceberg" aside and, in a low voice, asked the Pirate Admiral, "If I temporarily lend you the Curse of Knowledge,' do you have a way to directly contact Demigod- level Beyonder?"
Edwina shook her head gravely. "No."
"So what do you plan to do?" Lorry asked again.
Edwina replied calmly, "Prepare for battle, try to negotiate with Agalito, find out why he is pursuing us so relentlessly, and see if we can achieve peace through negotiations."
"If not, prepare to exchange fire."
After saying that, she raised her gaze and asked, "Do you have any good ideas?"
"Vice Admiral Iceberg" made no mention of using "Teleportation" to leave—this certainly wasn't because she hadn't considered it, but rather because she had some unavoidable difficulties.
Are they reluctant to part with their crew? Or is the "Golden Dream" a precious asset of the Church of the "God of Knowledge and Wisdom," and cannot be easily abandoned?
Lorry thought quickly, realizing that this was most likely one of the reasons.
Or a combination of both.
He hesitated for a moment and said, "If we really can't reach an agreement in the end, and we can't win in a fight, maybe we can try my method, but then you'll need to persuade them to cooperate willingly."
"And afterwards, I need to sign a Notarization promising to Secrecy."
"No problem." Edwina readily agreed, turning her head to glance at her subordinates who were constantly scrutinizing her and her companion, before looking into the darkness not far away.
At this point, the "Death Announcer" was only seven or eight hundred meters away from the "Golden Dream".
She nodded slightly to Lorry, then quickly walked back to where she had been, and instructed Danitz and the other Sailor Chief, "You go and organize the Sailor."
"Understood." The Sailor Chief responded in unison and strode toward the deck.
Then, her gaze swept over the Beyonder remaining there, before turning to First Mate Bru Wall: "You're in charge of organizing him..."
They.
"Gourmet" Bru Wall nodded, glanced around, and said, "Prepare for battle!"
Under his arrangement, dozens of Beyonder quickly split into four teams, each heading to a different area to prepare for the enemy's boarding operation.
"You—" Edwina looked at Second Orpheus, and before she could finish the sentence, Lorry saw the gaze of this "Singer" with his sculpted features and brilliant blond hair sweep over her, then he smiled at the "Vice Admiral Iceberg," "I'm in charge of the ' Purification Cannon,' right?"
Edwina hummed in agreement. "You're Notary, so you're best suited to use this."
Orpheus shrugged, looking at the "Vice Admiral Iceberg" with a serious expression, and said in a low but firm voice, "Don't worry."
"I will fight to the death to protect the ' Golden Dream '."
Sir—was that pause of yours because you were thinking of replacing your captain with someone else? Typical Intis, you speak like you're singing!
"If I weren't here, were you planning to just say the same old line?" While subtly teasing him, Lorry saw him quickly run towards the main gun.
"You'll assist me," Edwina said, turning her head to Lorry, then took a conch-shaped Charm from her white shirt pocket and placed it to her lips. "Orpheus."
Her calm voice, amplified, resounded throughout the entire golden sailing ship.
Before the echo had even subsided, Orpheus, the "Singer" positioned in front of the "Purification Cannon" at the central axis, immediately responded, "Roger!"
The next second, Lorry saw a huge ball of light blasted out of the cannon muzzle, landing less than fifty meters in front of the "Death Announcer" and exploding into a sky-covering white light.
In that instant, it was as if the Sun had risen between heaven and earth, and the light was as bright as Daylight.
At the same time, he heard the voice of "Vice Admiral Iceberg," amplified by the Charm, surge towards the "Death Announcer" like an invisible wave. "Halt!"
