As they approached Wei Shan, Tian Bufan explained how he and Wei Shan had fought creatures from the tilted Art Building Layer, leaving the group to face the dangers still gathering along the boundaries between layers.

• A girl tried to follow Kuai Hongji and Mao Feiyang, but they dismissed her and walked away without giving her their real names.

Wei Shan possessed Lin Yi to break through the Layers and attack the Proto-Type Ashes Apostles, unleashing Divine Slaughter in the Abyss. After destroying the creature, Lin Yi fell back into the Teaching Building and hung suspended before hitting the ground.

• Su Yao and the others watched Wei Shan repeatedly fail to leap between Layers and spotted Lin Yi and Mao Feiyang nearby.
