Inside the villa, Lu Ran was mentally exhausted after three days of challenging Secret Realms. Back home, he was about to get a good long sleep, only for Dark Crow, whom he had just shooed away, to start banging against the glass outside again.
"Great King, open up!"
Dark Crow kept beating its wings against the glass, calling through the window.
Lu Ran: ?
"Oh, come on. What do you want?" Speechless, Lu Ran got out of bed and opened the window. Why did this crow still have more to say? Why hadn't it said everything earlier? It was failing at being an underling. Any other Great King would have had it dragged out and beheaded by now.
As Lu Ran opened the window, Dark Crow excitedly flew in, landed on the railing, and said, "Great King, I think I've awakened an incredible ability."
"The Psychic attribute, right? I already told you."
"Study it properly. Develop the Psychic attribute to its limits, and it offers plenty of abilities, like illusions."
Just as Fire energy had the property of burning and Ice-Type energy had the property of freezing, Psychic energy had the property of potentially causing hallucinations after attacking an enemy.
"No!"
Dark Crow felt that explaining would be too much trouble. Seeing was believing, so it looked at Lu Ran and said, "How about calling Thunder Dragon General out, Great King? Let me test it on it?"
Dark Crow felt that, with General Ha's grudge-holding personality, testing it on General Ha would only spell trouble later. The thick-skinned Thunder Dragon General, on the other hand, surely wouldn't mind interacting with its "teacher."
"You're being awfully mysterious."
