Background

Qianyi originated in the Sword Soul Mystic Realm as a Paper-Folding Man into which a sword soul accidentally merged. That soul came from the Fengdu Sword King’s experiment with a Soul Seed and Sword Intent Origin. The resulting creature attracted the realm’s Decayed Swords, which repeatedly pierced its paper body. Qianyi survived, learned to retaliate, mutated to gain the Metal attribute, and cultivated Golden Spear Art to Perfection 550 891.

The Mystic Realm’s spirit wanted to extract the Sword Soul while erasing Qianyi’s newly formed awareness and memories. With Su Ping’s help, Qianyi instead survived as an individual, used the inherited power, and eventually evolved 362 550.

Unlike ordinary Paper-Folding Men, Qianyi already possessed a complete soul. This prevented the early attempt to splice its body together with other figures, but it could wield swords assembled from them 118.

Appearance

• Early form: A small, two-dimensional paper figure with a drawn face, anime-style expressions, and a frequently impassive “poker face” 190 267 550.
• Swordsman attire: Wore a paper cloak or bamboo hat and carried a sword sheath or case. Its face could display playing-card imagery, including an ace of hearts 191 363 529.
• After Sword Dao Incarnation: Became taller and more slender, with a briefly cold, stern bearing that its expressive face and habitual “wuwa” quickly undermined 365.
• Assessment outfit: Its enormous cape advertised the “Heart of Myriad Spirits Breeding Base!” across the back 372.
• Hell Sword Lord form: Grew to approximately 1.6 meters tall. Its dark-gray body resembled precision-cast steel with an underlying impression of living flesh, replacing the earlier appearance of fragile paper. Black deathly energy streamed around its greatsword 577.

Personality

Qianyi is an enthusiastic, intensely disciplined swordsman. It spends much of its time practicing, repeatedly marking or wearing out training posts, and occasionally watches swordsman films. Its creativity produces techniques that Su Ping did not personally teach or anticipate 268 325 435.

Its solemn exterior contrasts with theatrical declarations about invincibility, loneliness, and granting opponents a grand death. Qianyi also takes pride in its looks and intelligence, angrily rejecting Qin Erlong’s dismissal of Paper-Folding Men as unattractive pets without emotional value 190 191 325 368.

Beneath that showmanship is a consistent belief that swordsmen must confront hardship and stronger opponents. Qianyi rejected the Temporal Projection’s copied abilities as shortcuts and later refused to retreat from Charles. Its resolve reflects its own history of surviving the Decayed Swords rather than a sheltered upbringing 435 891 892.

Paper Body Transformation and Paper Swords

Qianyi combines a transformable paper body with the ability to use other Paper-Folding Men as weapons 118 550.

• Paper Body Folding: Can fold itself into a sword; other possible shapes include a saber or Fangtian Huaji. The skill had reached Perfection by the sword-core experiments 550.
• Combined weapons: Ordinary Paper-Folding Men can assemble into Paper Swords whose combat output exceeds their individual levels 118 155.
• Three-sword style: Secured one sword through its chest while wielding two more, producing a powerful slash and a light of skill comprehension 118.
• Compression: Used compressed Paper-Folding Men for techniques such as Hundred Swords in Unison. Applying the same method to its own body initially offered little benefit 550.
• Evolved body: After becoming the Hell Sword Lord, its soul, paper body, and Death Sword formed an unusual substance that was neither ordinary flesh nor matter while retaining paper-body transformations 578.

Sword Dao Incarnation

An innate Super-Rank Skill integrating Sword Soul, Sword Heart, Sword Body, and Sword Intent 365.

• Sword Soul: Strengthens and stabilizes the soul. Destruction of the paper body does not destroy Qianyi while the soul remains solidified; the body can re-form over time 365.
• Sword Heart: Improves swordsmanship power, learning speed, and simultaneous control of sword techniques and weapons 365.
• Sword Body: Enables the creation of techniques suited to Qianyi’s abilities and attaches controlled energy to its body and blades, increasing attack power and speed 365.

Super Heart and Heavenly Cycle Five Elements Body

Qianyi initially gained Super Heart, also described in the experiment as Elemental Heart, by fusing with five elemental Paper Swords. Its five-colored power strengthened the sword techniques it already knew 239.

• Five-element cycling: Circulates elemental energy to build combat strength and replenish energy 368 568.
• Staged activation: The Five Elements Windbreaker demonstrated fire in first-stage mode, earth in second stage, combined fire and earth in third stage, and further increases through fourth and fifth stages 268.
• Cross-rank output: Four revolving cycles raised Commander-rank Qianyi’s combat strength to the pinnacle of Monarch Rank during the garden test 267 268.
• Buildup requirement: Peak operation requires adaptation and step-by-step activation. Fast opponents, especially unusual Time- or Space-type beasts, can exploit that interval 368.
• Absorption limit: The cycle could not absorb Little Crow’s light attacks when their power exceeded its upper limit 530.
• After the second evolution: Became an internal core skill. Opponents could no longer visibly track the cycle’s progress, and extreme cold could be absorbed and digested 580.

Golden Spear Art

Originally a basic Metal-type skill for sharpening physical attacks, Golden Spear Art became one of Qianyi’s defining techniques 489 891.

• Reached Perfection during its struggle against the Decayed Swords 891.
• Provided principles for controlling, compressing, and releasing Mutated Sword Body’s energy 152.
• Reached Transcendent during the battle with Ye Zhou’s Temporal Projection 435.
• Its Transcendent effects strengthen Metal-type skills and allow variations in their application; Qianyi used this flexibility to disable a Mechanical Pet Beast 489.

Hell Sword Lord and Death Abilities

The second evolution added Death as an attribute and introduced Death Sword Lord, Death Sword Domain, and Death Mark 578.

• Sword-wielder and divine-sword forms: Can alternate between a humanoid swordsman and a giant sword 578 580.
• Death Sword Domain: Supported Qianyi’s battles against the Winter Snow Demon King and Wang Daolin’s three Saint Spirit Tier beasts 580 689.

First Evolution and Trial Tower

Su Ping initially pursued swordsmanship as Qianyi’s evolutionary direction, teaching energy control and the One-Word Lightning Sword. Resources and practice alone proved insufficient: watching a swordsman film led Su Ping to realize Qianyi needed an actual opponent. Its duel with Foxy supplied that opportunity 152 155 157 158.

As a Paper Immortal Swordsman, Qianyi cleared the Trial Tower’s first four waves in under three seconds apiece. The fifth wave’s three-on-one encounter took only 3.11 seconds 190 191.

Five Elements Research and Professional Assessment

Research undertaken for Qianyi’s growth produced the Five Elements Paper Diagram and the elemental-heart combination. Qianyi subsequently demonstrated the wearable system’s escalating power against Emperor Peony’s garden 224 239 268.

Restrictions on publicly revealing its strength were lifted for the Professional Assessment. Qianyi showcased mass sword control in the provincial competition, then overcame Ye Zhou’s copied version of itself through a Transcendent Golden Spear Art breakthrough. Its destruction of the Temporal Projection helped secure Su Ping’s victory in the National Youth Beast Tamer Professional Assessment 368 380 435 436.

Search for a Second Evolution

Approaching its species ceiling exposed the weakness of Qianyi’s paper body. Ordinary Paper-Folding Man compression and conventional strengthening resources failed. Su Ping traced the problem back to Qianyi’s Sword Soul origin and proposed supplying a solid sword core 486 540 549 550.

Tests with the Ore Vein Edge and other metals failed, while the dead Jade-Shattering Sword offered a more suitable direction. The final solution was the Death Sword, which Qianyi incorporated to evolve into the Hell Sword Lord 550 551 576 577 578.

Heavenly Tomb and Later Battles

Qianyi became Su Ping’s principal fighter in the Heavenly Tomb because it could replenish energy there. After evolving, it killed the Saint Spirit Tier Winter Snow Demon King through Death Mark despite the enormous tier difference 568 580.

Its later victories included defeating Wang Daolin and his three Saint Spirit Tier pets within Death Sword Domain. Continued soul-reaping and cultivation accelerated its growth, before the sea ambush forced another breakthrough into Saint Spirit Tier 689 744 799 800.

Legend Breakthrough and Battle with Charles

The Undying Body’s energy drove Qianyi into Legend Tier but threatened to submerge its consciousness. When Charles seized the body and raised Qianyi’s sword against Su Ping, Qianyi awakened and severed the sword-holding arm 841 842.

Qianyi then formed the Gods and Devils Sword, subdued Lord Bai, and destroyed the Heavenly Tomb Stele, collapsing the realm and its Bone Throne 843 844.

During the later confrontation with Charles, Qianyi chose to stand and fight rather than withdraw. Its newly comprehended soul-targeting sword pierced Charles’s Soulfire while its companions attacked. Charles’s body disappeared into spatial turbulence, though Su Ping remained uncertain that the Death God had truly died 891 892.
